  1. Dr. Simmons, Wow! I have narrowed down my docs to Rahal and Feller, but you my friend, may have changed my mind! Great result!
  2. Dr. Siporin, I am glad you are concerned with your patient. Just a quick question, what were the graphs density?
  3. Dr. Charles, I have a quick question, when my hair seemed to change is when I did a cycle of anabolic steroids, I am guessing that might have had something to do with it? Is it even possible?
  4. Time, Very good question and a question I have always thought about. Mid 2006 my hair was thick but not curly, and then january of 2007 it became MORE thick and incredibly more curly. Of course, that was before the hairloss... Would love for a doc or someone else to chime in
  5. Hey Dissapointed, If your looking at mega session either one of those doctors you mentioned. Each one is highly skilled at their work. Dr. Ron or Paul Shapiro is the surgeon you would want to go to, if you chose a "Shapiro" doctor. If you go to the main forum page, and go under "Hair restoration rsults posted by hair restoration clinics" you will find many examples of the mega session technique. Here is the link... http://hair-restoration-info.c...s/a/frm/f/3521087683
  6. Cole, Go to Dr. Rahal. I feel like this thread needs more attention, and Pat needs to be notified Bill
  7. Bill, please move this to another forum if this is not the right place. Hey guys, I would like everyone to chime in here, the cost for hair transplantation is not cheap, I am not going to lie here. For some of us, the cost of a transplant is a downpayment on a house, etc.. How does everyone feel regarding this subject? We are spending a lot for hair, this is why I am torn on what to do. 8-10k is a ton of money! How do you guys feel?
  8. I live in Kansas City and its about a 6 hour drive to Shapiro, he is the closest elite doc near me, I have a couple of questions. One, what are his pricing and two how long is he booked for?
  9. Hey guys, Havn't been back in a while, hope everything is going well. I am 25 and have had a transplant done before in the summer of 2007, and what I was wondering is the right side of my hairline lacks vs. the left side. I am not out for a new perfect hairline, however would like a few more graphs (possibly 750-1000) transplanted on the right side. Would a surgeon do only one side or would they do both?
  10. I have a recession in my hairline that happened 2.5 years ago, I since then have not had any hairloss. I am going to really give minoxidil a go, and really see if it works for me. My question is since I am not really worried about hairloss right now, do i need propecia? My concern right now is growth, and do i need propecia for growth?
  11. Do it Bill! I agree with you guys on the foam being a better penetrator, but the liquid may have a secret weapon because of the propylene glycol. almost every success story i have read has come from liquid minoxidil I DO BELIEVE, dont quote me on that. I have asked a few docs and they have said that they are not familiar with propylene glycol, only Dr. Bernstein could say that it could play a major factor in hair regrowth. Ah, if there were only a propylene glycol foam!
  12. That is what im thinking Ceaser. Hell i will use both products if it gets me results, i dont care.
  13. Hopefully we can get Pat to encourage some other physicians to shed light on this topic
  14. Actually, John maybe right. I just sent an email to Dr. Bernstein and he stated that Propelyne Glycol is actually very important.
  15. Hey Bill, Thats what got me thinking about using both, meh, I am not sure
  16. I am also interested in these studies as john stated... Where are you john?!!!
  17. Ive heard that that liquid minox works better than the foam version, and I have also heard it the other way around. So what I am asking here is, could I just use both?

  19. Sometimes ill be walking to class a couple of hours after i apply the rogaine and i will sweat. Will the rogaine have already absorbed and i am fine or will the sweat interfere with the minox?

  21. I see, so Bill, the hairs that are thinning that dont fall out, if rogaine works, you will start to see it strengthen in 6-8 months or so, the hair doesnt have to fall out for rogaine to work tho right? I mean, if you kept growing and growing out your hair youd eventually start to see the follicle or base look healthy and full like it once was IF the rogaine was working? Sorry if i sounded like i repeated myself
  22. I still have good coverage on my hairline, not great but good. It is basically in a v formation, and the hairs within the v formation are kind of thinning. My question is this, IF minoxidil would work to its full strength how would it grow those thinning hairs to its original thickness? I mean, I have read that hairs thin and then they fall out from rogaine, then they start growing new ones, but I cant imagine the hundreds or thousands of hairs on my hairline to fall out, then grow again. If minoxidil does work after a while do those hairs just keep growing but get thicker from the base. Help?
