  1. From what I've seen, it really isn't too effective.

I have to disagree PRP is very effective in taking money out of your pocket without results

In a few years PRP offered I have not seen one result from a recommended doctor that was on PRP only. Not transplant and PRP or PRP with meds but PRP only. Why is this?

I know in Italy many dermatologist offer it. On the Italian forum that many posters that had it done say the same think, its doesn't work.

  2. Ahmed

I have been posting throughout the last 13 years and I have not seen to many positive stories coming out of DHI. You have so many choices and I would research more until you are confident of this important decision.

I have seen many bad reviews online saying that it is only a marketing gimmick but it might all be false reviews.

People have better things to do than write false reviews for a hair clinic that is average at best. It is not wise to ignore the many bad reviews and believe a companies marketing gimmick. Although I am sure they would like that it is very unwise.

Good luck on your choice but if you have to convince yourself that a clinic is good then what outcome you get is well deserved.

  3. I have no doubt that Dr. Huebner, extremely nice and affordable. Unfortunately he uses an outdated technique from the 80s. His marketing campaign is all smoke and mirrors, they like you to think their approach is cutting edge. Micro and mini grafting will look very unnatural and pluggy in your hairline and probably be stuck having to have a second surgery to soften it.

You can research to website to find other doctors that use modern techniques and are ethical.

  4. Looking at your photos you need as many grafts as possible. At least 4000 in my opinion to make a positive cosmetic different. I don't know how any doctor can look at these photos and say 2000-2500. Some doctors don't have the experience or feel comfortable doing big session. They always use the same excuse that they say big sessions have less percentage of growth. If you see the results on this website you will see that the doctor doing large session don't have an issue with growth.

  5. Your expectations are too high. Whether a patient has the individual grafts removed for transplantation or if he has a strip taken out, there will be some amount of scarring. This is the nature of hair transplantation. FUE will have subtle dots, and for a good surgeon, a strip will be minimal.

I've had two stages of HT with Dr. Umar. In both, portions of the donor were taken from the lower part of the beard area, under the chin. When I am freshly shaven I can see the faint markings from where the grafts were taken. Perhaps someday I'll have fraxel done to resurface the area if it would work. In my small anecdotal experience, when I ask people if they noticed any dots on the lower mandible, the answer I get is that no, not until I pointed it out.

Lorenzo, I think you are guilty of having too sharp an eye for these minimal defects. I have it too. I readily notice the stage of baldness that other people are undergoing, whereas years ago, before I ever thought about HT, I was unschooled in how much balding such a person was set up for and if they had any hope in a successful HT. When I see a "smiley face" scar on the back of someone's buzzed head, I know exactly what it is.

My advice for those who are thinking on using body hair to build up density, see if it's possible to mix the BHT with head hair, as that camouflages it better. But if you are thinking to add alot of it in to a very bald area then consider sporting a short haircut so that people like Lorenzo won't be able to tell the difference.

I am only stated my opinion. Body hair is based on what I have seen and as I stated I have never seen beard hair. I am sharing my thoughts and concerns. Can any doctor guarantee that you wont be able to see any visible signs on your beard? Unlike donor harvest in the back of your head this scars can be covered up by hair.

  6. I had around 350 beard grafts taken from under my chin about a year ago. I don't have any visible scarring in that area unless you really get up close in the right light, but even then I can't tell if what I do see are from the grafts that were removed or if they are from shaving. I'm planning on using more beard hair grafts later this month. The beard hair that has grown started out much more wiry and curly than my head hair, but it calms down after a year or so and I can't tell the difference now. It actually grows longer and faster than my head hair.

I also used around 1000 chest hair grafts. The marks from those are slightly more visible than the beard area, but not enough to be noticed by anyone unless they get close to me and are looking for them. I did walk on the beach this Summer with no shirt and I didn't even have to think about it. The chest hair grows slightly thinner and slightly more wiry than the beard hair, but this also straightens out and falls mostly in line with my head hair after a while as well. It also grows very long too. I can still feel a small difference between the chest hair and my scalp hair at this point, but it seems mostly on the ends of the hair now, so I think after another hair cut there will no longer be a noticeable difference.

Thank you for supporting my point. Body hair and beard hair does grow differently and has a different texture. I am sure in some cases its not a big deal and in others it is. Your honestly is appreciated concerning visible dots. I am happy in your case its not a big deal but its important that people understand that this is a strong possibility and will vary per person.

I read your story and you have been through a lot. I am happy you are content with your outcome.

  7. But wont those dots eventually heal though?? Or are those little scars that last forever??

I think there are three things that could happen (my opinion)

    1) no sign of anything right from the start

    2) dots eventually fade and no signs at the end.

    3) dots heal but still are visible.

Every extraction leaves scar tissue even if its very small. No doctor I can think can give you 100% guarantee that the dots will not be visible in the future. Ever done perfectly this depends on how you heal, color of your skin and how many extraction are done. Do you think any doctor that does beard hair will show an example where the dots are visible and permanent? I personally will never take the risk because I think if the dots don't heal perfectly you are going to look like a freak with 1000 dots under your chin. In that case the only optional you have is to grow a beard if you have enough hair left to do so. This is my opinion.

  8. I have never seen beard hair live. From what I see it seems quite positive but unless I see a few people in person I don't want to call it successful. My biggest concern is for someone that is clean cut whether the dots will be visible. I don't picture any doctor that can guarantee you wont see the dots. If the dots are exposed then you appearance will be comprised forever.

  9. I have seen 3-4 body hair transplants in person. Honestly I wasn't impressed at all. The hair doesn't look natural and almost appears almost like a pubic hair. One guy received 7000 grafts and probably just over half grew. Although there was a cosmetic difference it didn't look natural compared to the photos I saw before I met him. He spend around $70K and wasn't happy at all. I even met an old poster named Poet. Although he was probably the best one I saw but it was only 900-1200 in the crown if I remember correctly. Everyone had dots on their body, some better than others, others were able to cover it up with other body hair. One guy if I remember correctly told me for two years he wouldn't go to the beach because he hated people starting at this dots on his chest.

I was pretty excited before I saw body hair thinking that if I ever needed it I could use mine. After seeing results in person I would never get it done ever if I was paid to do it. My opinion is based on what I saw.

  10. This is a review from a patient a few years ao that went to the Washington clinic

    Final results/review of WMHC

It has been 12 months since my HT from WMHC. I am going to make this short and sweet.

The hairline was drawn too straight, the hair is far too sparse and in result I must wear my hair a certain way otherwise it will look pluggy. The scar is far to wide and now has to be revised. Communication has been poor between clinic, doctor, and patient. I can go into further detail if someone is actually considering them and wants to PM me about my situation. Without a doubt I will have to get another one in the near future to fix the overall look as well as the scar.

I feel like they may do good work from time to time, but I can only speak for myself and I can tell you with full confidence that they did not do a job expected of today's HTs in my case. Their biggest issue is lack of attention to detail. Whether it is showing up on time or designing a hairline there is just zero attention to detail done by this clinic. They also led me to believe that a lot of area could be covered with so little grafts. This was odd because money wasn't my concern, I would have gladly paid twice as much for a better outcome and more grafts.

From my experience and my research, I feel that if you are considering a HT in the washington dc metro area that you should start with Dr. Lindsey.

After one of WMHC's technicians saw my results he actually suggested that I use some sort of cosmetic cover up in order to disguise the HT and said that they'd cut me a break if I wanted to get more grafts transplanted. Not something you want to hear after trusting someone with your hair. Again, feel free to write me if you have any questions.

  11. JON86

Thanks for sharing your story. I think its important that you share you rexperience. I looked online and everywhere is 1 time reviewers giving him 5 stars. His marketing philosophy is pathetic but I know it can work if people don't research. That is why its important to share all detail of your story that will allow potential patients of his not get be blinded by his smoke and mirror marketing.

  12. When I researched this doctor he reminding a lot of the trainer. They take old outdated techniques (strip extractions, and multi grafts), and make it sound like this something new they created. I am sure they have the same marketing companies that probably buys views and likes. They send alot of time saying why they are so good and everyone else is bad. The other doctors was caught posting under many patients under the same ips address. They even went as low as saying they were a sick child father and how much they did for him. They have no morals or standards, its about only making money for them.

When you are good you don't need to over market because your former patients and word of mouth will do all the work for you. I am sure in the next week once of his patients (marketing) will come on and say how happy they are and how great he is.

  13. i went to restoration centers ....8 months no growth.......$ 3 per graf.............what do you expect....they all lie

Are you saying all hair transplant clinics lie? Just because you got stung doesn't mean every clinic is the same. Are you here to learn or make unsubstantial statements?

When I got my first transplant they didn't tell me the whole truth. They under promised and they overachieved. I was so happy with my transplant that I send 5 friends to have surgery, all of them are really happy. I do agree the majority of all transplants surgeons are incapability and don't tell the whole truth. This is why websites like this are good to find the good ones.

  14.

to be honest...id hold off on dr kleinman........give me a couple of months......im 8 months in now....and no good news.........ill give you the complete update around december.......but as for now 8 months no growth.......and i listened to all the sales talk
Well said. I know a lot of posters write extremely positive reviews on the doctor before the final result. Experience is important but the final result is more. Who is Anthony Stanzaino? Is that you?
  15. Hokie usually I like to be positive when someone new posts. I know it was a big decision and an expensive decision to have a transplant. This transplant doesn't look good, it looks like the kind of work of an amateur. That is a big area to cover for such a small amount of grafts. I don't know what he promised you but if all the grafts grow you will have a low density plug looking transplant (maybe I am wrong). This is why I don't like companies like Neografts or ARTAS because I think their main purpose is to sell the product regardless of the doctors experience. I know you were concerned about the scar but looking at your donor it looks like the holes are a lot bigger than normal. You will probably end up with more scaring than if you had FUT with a reputable doctor. I think you needed around 3500-4000 to make a good cosmetic difference. I am sorry to sound negative but I don't want to lie and say it looks good. As a positive it doesn't look too low so you maybe able to get repaired if needed. I wish you the best.

  16. Yesterday

I may reach out to one of them if this does turn into a eye sore. I asked the doctor about what rough estimate of density I currently have right now. It is a bummer I seen some quotes from hospitals/clinics in Istanbul for 1700euros with airfare and hotel. For a special for September. Should have shopped around more.
Having some doubt after the surgery is normal for most patients. Your transplant looks good and clean. Sure it could have more density but this doesn't mean you wont be happy. You can always address more density in the future. I suggest to stay patient (you don't have a choice) and wait to see the results.

I unfortunately get to see these hair mill transplants from Turkey. When you tell someone that looks horrible there is nothing you can do for them it hard. I have seen many grown men cry over it. Looses your hair is natural having a bad transplant can ruin your live. Some of these clinics hire temporary workers that have no experience when they have too many transplants to do. One Italian patient told me the girl that was doing extractions told him she started that day. They trained her for one hour and told her to take as many grafts out as possible as fast as she could. You know how they found her? In a tea shop that morning and asked her if she wanted to work. Comparing Dr. Bhatti to these hair mills is like saying an apple and a dog are the same. You cant look for the best price in a hair transplant because you will probably regret the decision for the rest of your life.

  17. I think if you want Dr. Rahal you should wait until he is available. Dr. Rahal is recommended and a good doctor but I have seen no examples of Dr. Ross work. I am not saying she is not good but their is not enough information to base a judgment in my opinion. If you are considering not using Dr. Rahal because of availablity why not look at another recommended doctor as well?

  18. No question that this is not a super high density case. I can't say that you are going to be disappointed.I have no idea about that, it just not a super packed transplant

    I agree with this.

where as you all say a more grafts closers together would be better. I would rather have a high survival rate,

Who told you having grafts placed closer together would give you lower survival rate? This information maybe correct for some doctors but there is a majority of doctors on this website that product one pass high density, dense pack transplant without any issue with survival rate.

Again another dr. Bhatti HT where the density looks very very bad.

I really hope you get a good result but i have to be Honest that i am 110% sure your gonna end up disappointed

There is nothing wrong with expressing your opinion but you could word it differently. You have no way of knowing what a patient is going to think once his hair transplant has matured. This transplant will have a big cosmetic difference and the patient could be happy with that.

Yesterday I wish you lots of happy growing and be patient. I am sure you will be content with the final result. Keep us posted.
