  1. Whats the scoop on these 2 products, I hear ALOT of advertisment for them, but heard they don't work !! (If they did, everyone would be kissing the ground) Thanks ????
  2. Scroll down in this topic, and read these post !! Thanks SUPER Cheap Finasteride (generic) no prescription Posted Nov. 17th, 02
  3. At being 42 years young, my hairloss has never stablized and progressivly, slowly thinned since I was 25. I think predisposition of hairloss is a different rate for each person and also is affected by a persons state of health. I have delayed my hairloss by being in a high state of health I believe. My father has a full head of hair, my mother's father was completely bald. All of my mother's brothers have lost there hair, and all of my mother's sisters that have had 2 sons, 1 is bald, the other with a great head of locks of hair. My brother has a complete head of hair and I look exactly like my father, but have thinned all the way to the crown. I have my original hairline with no hairloss on the temples what so ever. So I have been chasing hairloss with HT's since 1988. Have been using cleasing shampoo's systems since 1990 consitently. Recently started on Finasteride which I should of started years ago. Bottom Line again is this, Where will the Hairline start to blend in with the temporal area ?? To far foward and it will look wrong and you can end up with doing procedures until Donor hair is exhausted ? For me, with no hairloss on the temple area, and original hairline, I have a teenager look (as my dad still does), and having HT's AS FAR FORWARD AS MINE MAKES THE HAIRLINE LOOK CORRECT WITH THE TEMPLE AREA, BUT DO I HAVE ENOUGH DONOR HAIR SINCE I HAVE SLOWLY LOST HAIR OVER 20 YEARS ? Having black hair, my FU's per centimeter is high in donor area, but having 6 procedures and some with old technology has wasted precious donor hair. Is age a determining factor in when to get HT's, or is it the degree of hairloss on a norwood scale ? I believe age is a factor in stablization of hairloss, but predisposition of genetics, great health, can delay hairloss over time, is a factor also. Bottom Line, The longer you wait, the better you will know your Hairloss Pattern, and the better the lifetime out come of your HT's, with todays technology will be for you. Thanks
  4. Arfy, I agree with you on a "less than perfect" Hair Transplant IS NOT an option any more !! After myself having 6 procedures with 4 different doctors, I can concur with that. Open forums like this one brings real life people to the fore front of involvement of what is good and what is bad in a endevour that ultimately affects the outcome of people for the rest of their life. To me, if I would of never had the genetic predisposition of hairloss, I probably would not be where I am today as for decisions are made at all times in our life on how we feel and how we feel others preceive us. I would of made decisions with total confidents to change my world, instead my preception of myself with my type of hairloss, has made me hide in certain aspects of my life more ways than one. With HT's I am thankful they have came along in the first place to give me some confidents back, and if its the last thing I do, I will have more HT's as Donor Hair and Finances let me. But I will also put my experiences forward in forums like this to make sure someone does not go thru a Bad HT if possible. They must do the research !! I have read your post on what you went thru and what you are going thru to have some sort of dignity for your future. As I said before, I pray God will spank those who are responsible, really hard for putting there own Greed ahead of what is right and justifiable for "Someone Elses Life" !! Thanks
  5. 6 procedures now, scarring is minimal for me. I have thick black hair, of course not as thick now !!! How the Donor area is removed and sutured makes a difference in scarring, but so does the health of the person involved. Want to know know more about Scarring, Post-Op Redness, and Shockloss go to: www.hassonandwong.com/main_page.htm click on "Special Topics" Thanks
  6. You asked some good questions, when dealing with HT's, NO QUESTION IS OUT OF BOUNDS WHEN IT COMES TO THE REST OF YOUR LIFE !! I been thru Sydney a few times, Went to Ballarat a few times and Tasmania also !! Also there is a Walla Walla, Australia. Its by Wagga Wagga. Here's a little history I posted early. I'm 42, had first HT at 28 years young. _______________________________________________ I have had 6 procedures with 4 different doctors since the late 1980's. Session sizes of 200,200,960,830,1000?, and 2 weeks ago today 1840. The first 2 were plug type, small enough in hair size though, 3-6 hairs. Next 3 were micro's, mini's. The 1000 probably was not 1000 though. And last was 1840 FU's. I had really thick black hair when started and the donor scars, hardly even know it. How many procedures, with todays HT technology, you won't need many, but as in my case, 6 is how many. Will I have another, if finances and donor hair let me. _______________________________________________ SCARRING - Have not really noticed in Recipient area - even though I was doing HT's to try and keep up with my hair loss. Again I have LOSS NO HAIR IN THE TEMPLE AREA, so my hair line looks like my original and even have my original Hairline. DONOR SCARRING - not much, healed really well. Again, I have a background in Fitness and Nutrition and been taking supplements since I was 15 and consistently since I was 25. So my healing abilities I believe have been great in relationship to my excellent health. PLUGS - I lucked out as my first 2 HT's were with Bosley and the plugs were 3-6 hairs. I really have not seen any 6 hairs in 1 plug though. A few 5. But I was doing these again behind my original Hairline. The Micro's really helped hide these as I was thinning more progressivly. But then I had some of the micro's with 2 hairs showing up near the front because I was thinning more still. So now I have thinned all the way to the crown, but way more in front than back. So this last session of FU's (1840), I had 200 single hairs put in the HT hairline and lower towards my original hairline. Next year will really tell how it covers. I do have a picture of me from last summer prior to this last procedure, But I am not going to Post until next year to compare Micro's and Fu's. DONOR HAIR- I have black hair, So I have the thickest hair a person can have. After 6 procedures, yes I still have Donor Hair left to do more. How much, have to wait until complete healing of this procedure. Been cut on so many times has ruined Donor hair I know, but I am thankful. If you look at me from the back, you can't tell a thing. But, having had hair taken in front of my left ear twice (Temple area) you can see a slight thinness, right ear area just once and looks fine. Have to wait for healing though. Hope this helps !! Thanks
  7. My first 5 HT's I had Predisone given to me right before surgery and days after by the Doctor. First 2 HT's were plug, 3 to 6 hairs, and last 3 were mini's,micro's. So probably because they were so big as in flesh around the hairs, swelling was more predominant in these types of HT's, which SHOULD NO LONGER be around. This last procedure (23 days ago) with 1840 FU's only, no predisone what so ever, because FU's do not required Recipient Sites to be that big. Hope that helps !! Thanks
  8. I see in many Post on the topic of ShockLoss and EVEN Post about other Issues, Doctors, Etc., that ver off the main topic, and end up talking about shockloss. Go here for some great info and how shockloss can be avoided. Go to: www.hassonandwong.com/main_page.htm Click on "Special Topics" and read about Shockloss, Post-Op Redness, and Donor Scarring !! Thanks

  10. Again after having 6 procedures now (20 days post-op) with probably 2500 mini's or more and now 1840 Fu's, next year will really let me see the difference. Thanks
  11. Be patient, After having 6 procedures, I give it a full year until what you see, is what you will get. Thanks
  12. What would be neat to see is computer system take a snapshot of a person, induce so many FU's into the picture to give a person an idea what they would look like with so XXX amount of FU's !! Everyone is different, so different pictures of clients, with different amount of loss, in time frames, with different amount of FU's, is going to produce different results. Take 2 people with about the same amount of hairloss, have the same amount of FU's, and it will look different on each person !! But would give you some kind of indication !! If a person is a certain number on the Norwood Scale, how many FU's would it take for each scale to acheive, lets 30 FU's per sq. Centimeter ? Good Questions Thanks
  13. After 6 procedures and 4 doctors, I never had much swelling !! I believe inflammation of swelling is in part do to the health of the individual themself. Just as a cut on the finger takes time to heal with all healing for the cut for everyone, after a certain amount of time. Some people heal faster than the others, and alot is the never ending state of health of each person. Having a background in Fitness and Nutrition has help me understand the biochemisty of the human body. I know there is no natural supplement to stop hairloss, as I have taken supplements since I was 15, but it can delay it by being in a high state of health. Being 18 days Post-Op, My redness in the receipent is almost gone !! Thanks You
  14. Here's some basic info on these oils !! Tree Tea oil is mainly from Australia and it is used as anti-baterial agent. It is not specifically linked to promoting hair growth but the antiseptic properties can be benefical to the scalp. Jojoba Oil is used since the days of the early indians. It is an excellent scalp cleanser and gives hair a thicker appearance. It has a low molecular weight that allows it to penetrate deep into the pores of the scalp. Want to learn more about natural ingredients for hair loss- go to www.thinningscalp.com - for $ 15.00 its worth it. I downloaded it !! It list 89 ingredients and link to Web sites where to get products. Thanks
  15. I can't tell you for sure as we need a doctors reply on this!!! I know that my HT's took a full year until I was sure there was no more growth. I would think you would see something by now. Is the area where the FU's were transplanted, with other growing hair or a bald area? If a bald area, you should see growth starting I would think as with an area of hair, its sometimes hard to see growth always !! You would think that any HT hair shaft would penetrate thru prothik or any other concealer ? Vitamin D is the Sunshine Vitamin and you get it with sunshine or thru the diet. Vit D regulates calcium and phosphous absorption and excretion, blood calcium level and bone formation. Doc's ? Thanks
  16. It sounds like your hitting products from all angles which is good as long as you can afford it !! You asked "Are there any other products worthy of mention here???" I posted this in another section last night which you can read about. Try www.thinningscalp.com and see if it is worth $15.00 to download this. I did last night !! Yes they do talk about Emu Oil as one of the 89 ingredients !! Thanks
  17. Searching the Internet, I found a Web Site that for $ 14.99 one time download fee, gives you the lastest information on 89 ingredients for reversing hairloss. I downloaded it last night. It is 117 pages in Word format or 116 pages in PDF format. It covers Natural Ingredients, what they do, Shampoo's, Propecia/Rogaine, Hair facts. It has Web Links for most of the ingredients or at least where to get them, which is really nice. Go to: www.thinningscalp.com Thanks

  20. After having 6 procedures from 4 doctors, I never really have experience what I would call shock loss ? I realize it can happen. I have always felt a person state of health is important to any type of shock loss, redness, healing, and overall hairgrowth or trauma to the body. Inflammation can be reduced when a state of health of an organism is in a High level of health. You put junk in the body, your going to get junk performance out of it and any healing state. 1966 as far your price for propecia, Proscar is a 5mg tablet that can be 1/4 and ALOT cheaper than propecia. Propecia is just 1mg tablets !! Ask about it !! Thanks
  21. How you doing DZ, That is a good question as has anybody had kids while on Propecia/Proscar ?
  22. I know it does not grow hair as I never said it did, as the optimum goal of all products is to find ones that stop hair loss or grow hair. I said it cleanses the hair follicles to give them a chance to stay in the growth phase instead of the resting phase. Thanks
  23. Anybody use the Helsinki Shampoo ? I have used it for about 12 years now. It definitely cleanses the scalp and keeps the Sebum or DHT buildup to a minimum. When you first start using it, you could have some hair briefly fall out that the Sebum/DHT was holding in and was not growing anyway. It lets the hair follicle breath !! All natural ingredients !!!
