  1. You should check some of the older topics - there is plenty of info there. You can wear a hair system for a day, a week or a month - it's up to you.
  2. Thirteen days isn't nearly long enough to get used to wearing a hair system. It's a gradual process that starts out feeling like you always have a hat on, but after a few months, you will not even be aware of it 95% of the time. And you can pay Hair Club ridiculous prices for their hair systems and their maintenance if you want, but you can save yourself a couple of thousand dollars (not exaggerating) a year by ordering your hair systems on line and learning to attach, remove and clean them yourself. It's really not that hard to do.
  3. NOBODY is selling genuine European hair systems for $155. Forget it, don't believe it, it's just not possible. I wouldn't trust a company that claims to do so. If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is. Don't waste your money.
  4. You asked for honest opinions and impressions, so here goes: If your goal is to be super-slick and mislead your clients like several other sites, you've done it well. You have avoided using the word "hairpiece" and don't really tell prospective clients what you are selling. Do you know the old marketing saying - "Sell the sizzle, not the steak"? That's what you're doing. I'm sure you will be successful in attracting a lot of desperate guys who will think you're selling something new and different. Personally, I have a lot more respect for companies who tell it like it is.
  5. I went to your blog, read it & tried to send an e-mail, but it bounced. Is zonkers66@verizon.net correct?
  6. When I see a company that uses terms like "Applied Virtual Skin Technology" and "non-surgical restoration treatment", I run away, holding tightly onto my wallet. I believe it is unethical and misleading to use such terms - they are not restoring anything and "Virtual Skin" describes nothing more than a hairpiece with a ThinSkin base. There are other companies that also use similar, misleading pseudo-medical descriptions to convince a prospective client that they offer something special that other sellers don't offer. They also use such terminology to justify ridiculously high prices. I wouldn't do business with any of them.

Vasilius: The problem is that everybody has seen plenty of awful hairpieces and transplants. Both are much, much better today than in the past. Hairpieces do require a bit of extra care (attaching, removing), but the best hairpieces are completely undetectable - and they don't necessarily cost a bloody fortune either!

Using the word "graft" is all about marketing - it implies that you are getting something that becomes part of you, rather than something you wear. If there is no surgery involved, it's not a graft. The hair replacement industry has a long history of changing what their products are called, starting with the transition from "toupee" to "hairpiece". Then "hairpiece" became "hair replacement system" or just "hair system" and then many companies went crazy trying to invent new terms so that clients would not think they were just getting a "hairpiece".

ANYTHING that is attached to your scalp, regardless of what it is called, is a hairpiece. I have seen a lot of companies use ridiculous names to try to hide the fact that they are selling hairpieces - and some do the same thing about how it is attached, using phrases like non-surgical hair graft, bio-hair integration, etc. They want you to believe they have a unique product or attachment method that no one else has - don't believe them!
  10. There is no such thing as a permanent hair system. Any company that claims to offer one is intentionally misleading the public. Hair systems do have limitations - they lose hair over time, the hair won't last forever, etc. - BUT a high quality hair system will look great. If it is made correctly and cut in well, it will be totally undetectable. There are a lot of people who won't believe this statement, but the proof is out there and you see it every day - you just don't know it! And they don't have to cost a bloody fortune either.
  11. Here's a pic of Michigan Baldy (scroll to 2nd pic) with a very short hairstyle: http://www.hatsoffhair.com/photogallery_index.html
  12. "Strand-by-strand" is nonsense. "Membrane"? Is that supposed to make you think "skin"? Look, there is nothing special about their products other than their exorbitant prices. Strand-by-strand is the way hair is attached to ANY high quality hair system and the "Membrane" is no different than the Skin-type bases offered by dozens of other sellers. AND, it's not even the best base material to use in the first place! Put that 2,000 pounds back in your pocket and contact a company like hatsoffhair.com that provides high quality products at reasonable prices.
