  1. Looks like your right on track Bill! I've been following your progress so I can compare your results with mine considering we got ours roughly at the same time I got a nice "pop" of growth between months 3 and 4 but things seem to have slown down a bit..guess we all must be patient..it sure is tough though
  2. Thanks for the responses guys...you know..its funny I've been reading a lot about this so called 4 - 5 month anxiety syndrome and man let me tell you its hitting me hard. Didnt think it would but it has. I look in the mirror and think that most if not all of my grafs have grown. Specially on the hairline. I have it in my head that from here on in the only progress I will see are my hairs maturing in thickness and size. I'm trying to fight it! But its hard! lol
  3. Hey Bill.. Yeah im thinking they are ingrown hairs as well..just really small ones. I only really notice them when I use the magnifying portion of my hand mirror when I'm inspecting my grafts... I'll take some pics later on after I shower and remove the Dermatch from my scalp. Thanks for responding.
  4. Hey guys been meaning to ask this question. For a while now I've been seeing many small red pimples (perhpas ingrown hairs) in the front 3rd of my recipient area. Now I've read about ingrown hairs and although I have a few of those these look a little different. They are smaller and dont really hurt much if you touch them. Maybe they are ingrown hairs as well but I cant really tell. Has anyone experienced this? What happens if you dont do anything about ingrown hairs? I havent tried popping any because im really not bothered by them. Is it ok to just let nature take its course? Thanks

  6. Guys am I the only one here who thinks that hairline design is a bit odd? Was your doctor one of the coalition members? Something doesn't seem right here.
  7. I would wait till you get to the states. Period. The BEST hair transplant doctors are here (and Canada). Do some more research and I think you will come to this decision.
  8. Jbsf.. Are you using Rogaine or any other topical hair treatment? I'm not certain if this will help for you but I did see a nice spike in activity when I started using Rogaine. I'd say about 3 months after my surgery. Maybe it helped maybe it didnt but I guess it couldn't hurt to try if your not already on it. Some folks on here are using the foam which is suppose to be easier on the scalp but I just use regular 5%. Good luck bud.
  9. thanks guys...yep its exciting to already see some growth and know that the best is yet to come! just trying to remain patient as I have been doing. With any luck I'll be good for the summer!
  10. Hey guys updated my blog to reflect my 4 month progress. Things are really starting to take off it seems. I've been seeing some good activity for the last 2 weeks. I'm not sure if its because of the Rogaine I started using but hey I'm not complaining. I notice that my right side in the hairline area is growing a lot quicker than my left. I know this is normal for some people and I'm sure it will eventually even out. My hairline is starting to look a little thicker as well. I was worried that I might have been a late bloomer but I dont think thats the case here. Thanks for looking I'm really looking forward to the upcoming months.
  11. Had my procedure done with Dr. Feller as well. I drove home after surgery and my drive was about 45 minutes. Now, it would have not been a problem but what happened was that they forgot to give me another dose of that pain killer they use during the surgery right before I left which is the normal procedure. Halfway home the pain hit me and it hit me HARD. It was a good thing I hit little traffic because the pain was so severe I dont think I would of been able to have kept on driving. My point is during the first twenty minutes before the pain hit I had no problems driving. 2 1/2 hours might be a little extreme though and there is a chance the pain shot they give you may wear off. Taking the pills is probably not a good idea to do while your driving. Personally I would have to agree with these guys just stay another night and take the pain pills IMMEDIATELY when you get to your room. You do not want to wait on this believe me. Good luck
  12. I'm primarily a forum lurker on this site and don't normally get involved with most of the discussions on here besides a thread which logs my progress of a procedure I had with Dr. Feller not so long ago. However after reading this thread I really felt like I had to say something. StudentJay..you are completely out of line and your continued responses prove nothing except that you lack the mental aptitude in understanding the importance of being honest and providing the kind of advice and/or feedback Bill did earlier on a site like this. Your arguments are not making any sense and its puzzling that you still can't figure out that Bill did the right thing. Go back and read his response a few more times and tell me how he was being "rude". In your case maybe a few dozen times as it seems you dont catch on too quick. Don't mean to be insulting but this seems to be one of the rare cases where its actually warranted.
  13. Thanks Bill! I know your at the same progress point as I am with your last procedure as well. Good luck to the both of us!
  14. Thanks for the comment Gorpy. Yeah its fun to see the little hairs starting to pop out. Of course they are tiny and almost colorless but still great to see none the less. Just saw your log pretty impressive results you had
  15. Hey guys just updated my weblog to reflect my 3 month post op progress. Not much has been going on except I'm just beginning to see some signs of growth. Pretty cool Would also say I'm probably back to where I was pre-op which is a good thing. Just got in from an actual hair cut so figured it was a good time to update my log! Anyway just popping in to keep my progress updated and to share my experience with all of you. I'm looking forward for the next couple of months. Hopefully things will start to get interesting pretty soon. Cheers everyone!
  16. I used a product called scar jel which is suppose to have the effects you described. I didnt notice much..it is also hard to see any difference with the hair around the scar. I did like using it mainly because it gave a nice cooling effect over the new scar which felt really good. Use it I don't see how it would hurt.
  17. Thanks for the response Bill..yeah I'm by no means freaking out I've done enough research and have read/seen enough blogs to know this is part of the deal. I'm very excited and interested at the same time to see how this is all going to turn out. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that I get a good yield out of this. From this point on I will be posting updates every month. Peace Bro
  18. posted my 2 month pics. Not much going on just going through the shock loss phase on top and a little on the left side of my head where the scar starts. As my comments mention I can't really tell what percentage of the post op grafts remained on top. The hair I have on top now is for the most part (I THINK) a mixture of my pre-op TP hair growing and some of my native hair that survived. Still have a bit of numbness on the back of my head but the top seems to be fine now. Just trying to remain patient and positive. Been using Dermatch a lot which helps bigtime.
  19. Paris... I started using dermatch, prothik, and toppik (not all together just switched back and fourth) on the donor area approximately 2 weeks after surgery. For the recipient site I waited 6 weeks until I started using Dermatch and Topik. I didn't ask my doctor but now that you mentioned it I probably should of. I've just read a lot on here how people use dermatch and/or topik quite early so I felt it would be ok. Maybe I'll give Dr. Feller a quick buzz just to make sure.
  20. Thanks BadHair! I'll be posting my two month pics in a few weeks. Not much has happened except for the usual shedding of transplanted grafts. My previous transplanted hair is starting to grow to a decent length so now I can get away with using some dermatch and topik on top. Still a little numbness in the back of my head but getting better. A little shockloss on the sides of my scar but nothing too major. Easily covered up with the Dermatch
  21. Hi Paris.. Well before going to work I went and got a really short haircut after my staples were removed. The barber pretty much did a #2 all around which blended well with the top. Seriously it looked like I had a buzz cut. The only issue was my scar. Dermatch on that length of hair doesnt quite cut it. You can still see the scar for some reason. So what I did was put on dermatch first, then finished it off with prothik. Prothik does a better job of covering it up. Its faster too. I also use Toppik as well on the scar. However its difficult to apply since you cant see where your putting it. I just got used to applying everything I had available. Now I just swap back and forth..lol The 1 comment I heard at work was from some woman who asked if I wore a hat in the morning cause she said it left a vague line in the back of my head. lol...that was it no one elese has said anything. My hair in the back has grown a bit longer so I'm leaving it at this lenght. I'll post a pic of how it looks now. Unfortunately I didnt take a pic of when I first got the cut. Honestly though it was no way near as bad as I thought it would be. My fears of coming back to work were extremely overated
  22. Thanks Bill. I checked everything over and realized there was no date for my date of birth. Filled that in and re-checked my blog and it seems to be working. Thanks for your help.
  23. Ahh ok I had the URL under homepage and not signature. Updated. Thanks.
  24. Just checking to see if I post it manually it will show up http://www.hairlossweblogs.com/home-page.asp?WebID=145
  25. Hey guys I created a weblog. You can see my pre Feller pics which will show my micro/mini graft work with Dr. Loria. However for some reason I'm getting an error on the information section of my blog. I'm hoping my link will work. Ok I see my URL is not showing up. I'll keep working at this. Sorry
