These pictures were taken a couple of days after my latest transplant. I took them after getting out of the shower, so my hair is still wet and combed back. Even though they aren't the greatest, it will give you an idea of what is being filled in.
I've had a total of 5 transplants since 1998, my most recent being on 10/19/12. The first 4 pictures are prior to my first transplant and the last is current as of 11/02/12. I decided to have the 5th for added density and to bring the hairline down a bit. I'm very anxious to see how it turns out! Total grafts = 4308.
Here are some photos from today, 11/02/2012 These are photos of what my hair looks like to date, through my fourth surgery. Because I use gel and hair spray, I'm able to conceal thin spots but it takes a bit of work to do that. I wanted to be able to avoid having to do so much work to hide those spots (as well all know, insecurity about balding is hell). Therefore, I opted for a 5th transplant. My fifth transplant was on 10/19/2012. I wanted more density and to bring my hairline down a bit. You can't tell from these pictures but there are still a few scabs in the temple area. To bring the hairline down and look natural, it was necessary to move the temple area a bit forward as well. I'm very anxious to see the results and I'll post those results, when they grow in. With any luck, I'm done having transplants for a very long time, if I ever have to do them again.
After the last transplant, the front of my hairline wasn't as dense as I wanted it to be. I asked Dr. Aronivitz to bring my hairline down a bit, as well as giving me additional density. On 10/19/2012, he put 1520 grafts in the front and sides of my hair line.
