I first went to Dr. Charles on October 2002; my procedure was for 1824 grafts. My experience and results were incredible, I was very thankful to this site for giving me the necessary knowledge to find such an excellent surgeon. On Monday 12, 2004 I went for a second procedure, this time I wanted some density and I got a total of 1750 grafts mostly consisting of 2's, 3's and 4's. I can honestly say that my personal experience with Dr. Charles and his friendly staff was absolutely the best; they made me feel very comfortable. I'm sure there are a lot of great Doctor's out there, but if you live locally there is no need to travel when we have a Doctor of this caliber in our backyard. Even if you live far away, you should still consider Dr. Charles and enjoy our beaches while you are here.

I had my procedoue (1) year ago and I'm very happy that I chose Dr. Charles. The procedure went great Dr. Charles and his staff were grest and I'm planning a second procedure in the very near future with him. luberta -
You might need more time, my procedure was last october 8 months now. I thought that all of the growth would be in by now but I have noticed more growth in the last 2 weeks. luberta

It looks clean goodluck, but I'm sure that you will want another procedure. I had mine done with Dr. Charles last October 1864 FU'S and am very pleased. My head was similar to yours and I will need a second procedure to get the density that I would like. 500 is a start but I have to agree with the other poster that 3000 would probably have gotten you very good density. luberta

5 months post op and very little growth
luberta replied to a topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Well I'm 3 month's postup and have alot of new growth, However everytime I wash my hair I have alot of shedding. I am on propecia and wonder if that's what is causing it, Prior to my HT I had very little hair loss while bathing. luberta -
I thought that I was the only one, but my growth started by week six. Now I'm 11 weeks postup and it's starting to sprout all over. luberta

I'm also very greatfull to Dr. Charles 7 weeks later and I'm sprouting through most of my frontal scalp. I'm thrilled and can't wait until it all comes in. Thank you Dr. Charles and your staff luberta

It's really to soon to see the final outcome, but my experience with Dr. Charles and his friendly staff was better than I could have imagined. This morning I was looking at my frontal scalp where I had 1784 FU'S and I could see some hair's coming in already just 6 weeks later. My experience was incredible, I did not feel any pain whatsoever just minor discomfort amd some itching and no sweeling. If I need a second procedure I would not hesitate to go back to Dr. charles. luberta

I had my procedure done 6 weeks ago and I can honestly say that I had no swelling. I did listen to my Doctor and put ice on my head about every 20 minutes while I was awake for 3 days. He suggested every 15 minutes sometimes I would only be able to do it 3 times an hour. I do believe that I would have had alot of swelling if I had not done this. luberta

I was very concerned because I really lost alot of my own hair especially in the crown area. It's almost 6 weeks now from my procedure and my hair is starting to come back in my crown. I had a big bald spot shortly after my procedure, but in the past week my hair is starting to come back. Am I lucky for this to happen this quickly or is it normal. luberta

I had my ht on 10-04-02 and just recently I have started to itch quite a bit on my frontal area. What causes this? does it mean that I'm healing or that my new hair is trying to break skin. luberta

Hairline transplant incisions?
luberta replied to Tom R.'s topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
I had my procedure done on 10-04-2002 and people don't believe me that I had an ht cause there is no trace of it. I took 2 weeks off and by the time I came back to work alot of my hair had already fallen off and no trace of incisions. luberta -
I had my proceduer done on 10-04-02 with Dr. Charles. I can honestly say that it was pretty much pain free. I did feel what felt like stings on numerous occasions, but it was very tolerable. It's really not bad at all and if I need a 2nd surgery I will definitely go back to Dr. charles. luberta

I also would be interested, I just had my procedure with Dr. Charles on 10-04-02 so far everything is fine, but to soon to tell. luberta

I just had my procedure today 10-04-02 with Dr. Charles and was very impressed. The surgery went very well and was pain free. His staff is very good and courteous, I can't wait for my hair to come in and then will post more on my results. luberta
