  2. Guys, I am 5 weeks past my HT, things just started shreding, but continue to have shock loss around the donor area. Wonder, if you guys can share your shock loss experience. Like, how long the shock loss will last. One more question, do all the transplaneted hair shred or just quite some? Following your path for healthy growing, Bobby
  3. Good point Bill I will definately second your point. Having a great surgey by great hands is great, most important aspect, are the results at the end. I had my HT a month ago, from one the best surgeon around, but its too early for me to start seeing results. Lets see. Bobby.
  4. I know, buying Propecia is preety expensive here in US. I get it for every six months from INDIA, through my colleage, its preety cheap over there. BobbyN
  5. Hello Members, I have a question regarding Shock loss. It has been almost a month since my HT (1200+ grafts - Hariline and frontal area). So far I haven't seen any shredding yet. But, just started noticing that I have a good amount of hair loss already and continuing, specially around the recipient areas. Can you guys please answer, how long this shock loss will last and will I get the lost hairs back? What should I expect next? Please, please share your experience and knowledge. Thank you all, Bobby

  7. Yeap! most Dr. required us to take HIV and additional 3 test (I dont remember the exact test name) befroe the HT. Its part of the surgery, also u might have to pay additional $$$ for surgery intruments. I did mine too. Bobby

  9. Thank guys for your response! Question for Robert: Yes, I do you have naturally oily skin, also does that matter the way I wash my head every morning? I use regular shampoo (for dry and damange hair) to wash (including donor and receipient area). Thank you, Bobby
  10. Hello Mikeyk23, I m from Chicago as well, did almost a year-long research before, finally 3 weeks ago I had my HT (1200+ grafts) through Dr. Ron Shapiro. I drove all the way upto Minneapolis (around 7 hours each way - nice driving though) from Chicago to have my HT. I am pleased with his work and doing good so far. Good Luck! BobbyN
  11. Dear Members; It has been almost 3 weeks since my HT (1200+ grafts - hairline and frontal core area only), also 3 weeks since I m on Propecia. Here are the symptoms, I m going through these days: Please response: No shredding (recipient area) yet. - Good or Bad? Had quiet a few pimples all over my forehead (not in the donor or recipient area). - Is it mainly due Propecia or its part of the healing process? Feels some kind of internal activities all over my crown area. - Is it mainly due to Propecia? Any further suggestions/comments? Thanks much, BobbN

  15. Hello Markcia, Attached is the pic (1200 Grafts), 1 day post-HT. One week should be OK to get some swelling off, to look normal but make sure you take lot of rest and use ICE to bring down the swelling and follow all the post-HT intructions, though. Good Luck with you HT. BobbyN
  16. Hello Bluepony, I can completely understand the pain u are goin through at this stage. I m 2 weeks post-ops, but didnt have any continuos pain at all. So, I would totally agree with ZERRO's intrcutions. I have my own question here for ZERRO: Its been 2 weeke since my Ht (1200+ graft - hariline and frontal area). I have been washing (through standard shampoo) my receipeint area very gently and with utmost care. For how long, u suggest, should I wait before I take normal shower? Thanks BobbyN
  17. Sparky, Mine is an Follicular Unit Transplantation done my Dr. Ron Shapiro. My donor area had a very thin line, around 2 mm in width and 6 inches long, had around 40 staples punched by Dr. himself. It took really short time to heal. As days are passing, its getting better and better. BobbyN
  18. Members, It's has been 2 weeks since my HT (1200+ grafts). Donor area staples are also removed; recipient area (hairline and frontal) is healing normally. Do you guys suggest starting the workout (indoor in the gym) like running, pushups, sit-ups and crunching? Will excessive sweating cause problem to the recipient area? Or should I wait for little for time. If YES, how long should I wait before I can start? Appreciate your suggestions. BobbyN

  20. Yes, mine was punched out and stapled to reduce the visual impact of the circlulat scar, its really invisisble now. Infact my wife, she has to wander around to exactly trace the donor area. BTW, i m 2 weeks post-op now. BobbyN
  21. Hello LONEX, 2 weeks ago I had my HT(specially the hairine and frontal area) by Dr. Ron Shapiro.
