  1. Hello Mortimer, It would be hard for me to share any expereince yet. I am on Propercia since last 5 weeks, but haven't expereiced any possible side effect(s). BTW, you started a very interesting discussion over here, hope we'll have more members joining..... Bobby
  2. Guys, I am 5 weeks past my HT, things just started shreding, but continue to have shock loss around the donor area. Wonder, if you guys can share your shock loss experience. Like, how long the shock loss will last. One more question, do all the transplaneted hair shred or just quite some? Following your path for healthy growing, Bobby
  3. Good point Bill I will definately second your point. Having a great surgey by great hands is great, most important aspect, are the results at the end. I had my HT a month ago, from one the best surgeon around, but its too early for me to start seeing results. Lets see. Bobby.
  4. I know, buying Propecia is preety expensive here in US. I get it for every six months from INDIA, through my colleage, its preety cheap over there. BobbyN
  5. Hello Members, I have a question regarding Shock loss. It has been almost a month since my HT (1200+ grafts - Hariline and frontal area). So far I haven't seen any shredding yet. But, just started noticing that I have a good amount of hair loss already and continuing, specially around the recipient areas. Can you guys please answer, how long this shock loss will last and will I get the lost hairs back? What should I expect next? Please, please share your experience and knowledge. Thank you all, Bobby
  6. Spanky, Frequent (every 1 hour) icing, helped to bring down my swelling a lot. Check if anyone else have any addition tips. Happy Healing, Bobby.
  7. Yeap! most Dr. required us to take HIV and additional 3 test (I dont remember the exact test name) befroe the HT. Its part of the surgery, also u might have to pay additional $$$ for surgery intruments. I did mine too. Bobby
  8. here u go markcia, attached is mu 1 day post-HT pic!
  9. Thank guys for your response! Question for Robert: Yes, I do you have naturally oily skin, also does that matter the way I wash my head every morning? I use regular shampoo (for dry and damange hair) to wash (including donor and receipient area). Thank you, Bobby
  10. Hello Mikeyk23, I m from Chicago as well, did almost a year-long research before, finally 3 weeks ago I had my HT (1200+ grafts) through Dr. Ron Shapiro. I drove all the way upto Minneapolis (around 7 hours each way - nice driving though) from Chicago to have my HT. I am pleased with his work and doing good so far. Good Luck! BobbyN
  11. Dear Members; It has been almost 3 weeks since my HT (1200+ grafts - hairline and frontal core area only), also 3 weeks since I m on Propecia. Here are the symptoms, I m going through these days: Please response: No shredding (recipient area) yet. - Good or Bad? Had quiet a few pimples all over my forehead (not in the donor or recipient area). - Is it mainly due Propecia or its part of the healing process? Feels some kind of internal activities all over my crown area. - Is it mainly due to Propecia? Any further suggestions/comments? Thanks much, BobbN
