  1. Hi NoTakeBacks. You case for all intense purposes is not to different from mine, ive had a previous surgery to fill in the cowhorns but more importantly for me to lower a very high forhead.Following the 12 month mark 8 weeks or so ago I had another procedure and lowered the hair line again slightly to about 68mm, i also included some temple work to create balance and make it less broad. For me it was a case of really wanting to style my hair up, whilst I was pleased with my previous procedure I felt my noggin was stil to big (ok HT greed also plays a part) IMO your hair looks good, careful with placing to much weighting on the facial thirds rule, this is only a guide, your hairline may already be in the perfect place..... 2. Hi. nice write up, you will probably need to provide some better pics for others to comment. There was no way you would be able to hide 3500-3900 grafts in the time you allowed. You may find some further maturing in the next few months...
  3. Dear fellow Britishguy. From the pics your hairloss pattern looks similar to mine. I had my temples restored about 7 weeks ago. Link below Hair Restoration Journal for Cowhorns - Immediate Post Op
  4. btw JagXJ - u r off 2 a gd start with your research and asking the right questions ... Good Luck!
  5. It may be only one sitting although unlikely - A photo can produce a range of different outcomes dependent on angle, distance and in particular lighting - there's an old saying, you don't here it much now, its called trick photography!
  6. I had a HT about 5 weeks ago - Some hairs grew a little after the first 2 weeks, most hairs shed during the third week, I have a very small number (less than a hand full) that are still growing.
  7. Thanks for the comments guys btw. It's always nice to see when you have feedback on a post......
  8. I did look ridiculous and would have preferred to have had it shaved all round. However it was my own choice! As I was addressing the temple points I wanted to ensure the Dr fully understood how my hair grew and behaved so what better way than leave the temples grown in. I believe the temple points are the most critical area of any HT and are ALWAYS on display. I knew I would be living under a hat for 2 weeks until I could have my hair cut, I figured it was a very small sacrifice in the grand scheme of things
  9. Last month I had a second procedure with DR Mwamba at his clinic in Brussels. My goal was to fill a gap behind the right temple, lower the hair line and address the temple points. I received 1688 grafts over 2 days. Everything went as expected and i'm looking forward to next year to see the final result. Happy for any questions and comments. Hair Restoration Site for Cowhorns
  10. The one I read in part talks about doubles where 1 hair is resting and therefore mistaken for a single which can't be detected even under microscopes? That's what i think the post was stating, that all said I'm a little out my depth here if i'm honest Here it is though.................... Doubles can and often are unknowingly implanted into the hairline by any doctor. Why would this happen? Explanation: -When a multi-hair graft(2,3,4) is in the dormant(sleeping) phase, not all the hairs contained in the graft are necessarily dormant. One hair of a 3-hair graft may be dormant, 2 hairs out of a 4-hair graft may be dormant or 2 hairs out of a 2-hair graft etc. This can be misleading and cannot be detected even under powerful microscopes. So a 2-hair graft can appear as a single hair graft, and placed into the hairline. This is often the reason why we see multi-hair grafts in the hairline. I have a triple hair graft which I pluck right at the very front. However clinic negligibility can also be a factor. Who is to say a tech wasn't busy thinking about their marital problems whilst separating the 1s from the 2-hair grafts for even 5 seconds? Truth is we will never really know which reason it is
  11. I very recently read a post where a double hair was transplanted into the hair line which necessitated frequent plucking due to an unnatural apperance. It caused some debate as to how the hair got there with possibilities ranging from a moments loss of concentration from the techs to the the transplanted hair actually being a double however in resting phase and only showing a single hair in effect "fooling" the Dr to think it was a single.
  12. I understand. (And will ensure my barber sharpens his flint knife when I do go)
  13. Hi - I wouldn't be too concerned about the redness. Mine lasted for as long as yours and up until the point where the hairs had matured enough which then concealed it. It went eventually. As other recommend you speak with your clinic with regards to the other matter. Good luck
  14. Thanks for the replies. Do you know what the possible issues could be with having a hair cut at say 10 days i.e potential grafts dislodging / the haircut somehow negatively influencing the results / irritation to recipient or donor areas? Particularly for an FUE patient?
  15. Hairshopeing - You have put into words very well what i was trying to say Some good responses. Thanks
  16. Hi. I'm a FUE patient and received just over 1600 grafts 5 days ago. The surgery went well and the healing process is very good. The sides and back were shaved for the procedure however as I was also having my temples restored the temple hair and immediately behind were not (this gave the Dr a clear indication on how how my temple hair behaves) Fair to say I look absolutely ridiculous at the moment with part back and sides shaved which is also difficult to disguise under a hat. The general concensus seems to be that at 10 days following the the procedure the grafts are secured so assume I can get my hair cur at this point? I note there tends to be different guidance on when to have a hair cut post HT ranging from 10 days to 4 weeks? Please help. Thanks
  17. I think one of the concerns with straightening is burning the recipient area with the heating tongues
  18. LOL - Yes i was trying to say research other Drs but in a long winded way...
  19. If you are seriously thinking of having treatment with him you really do need to meet him and see his work regardless of the travel time. Yes you hit the nail on the head there, hair loss is such an issue for some we only hear and believe what we want to - surgeons and reps no this only to well and unfortunately some use our vulnerabilities to live a rich life style and leave us with a poor result. Good luck with your research.
  20. PS sorry to be sounding so negative, one of those evenings
  21. Ask him to meet some people who he has worked on...
  22. You need to meet him and see some of his work. All Drs worth anything will have loads of pics to share with you. I would post lost of questions on this site, there are some good people here who will help you..
  23. Good to hear you are investigating. There's not really much else on this Dr other than that website who obviously are only going to say good things to get a sale. I was scammed by a doc in the uk (not Malkani) which was put right by a Dr in Brussels. Here's my story Hair Restoration Site for Cowhorns I had a second procedure yesterday BTW.
  24. Also follow this previous link for this previous link http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/161477-british-association-hair-transplant-surgeons.html
  25. All those things you mention are just not near enough to go on, google the British Association of Cosmetic Doctors - it looks as if its linked with "non surgical" procedures i.e botox etc, also lines on tabloids mean nothing. I don't mean to be critical but you need to investigate him (and others) before you proceed. Hopefully other members will chip in a give you some guidance, ive seen some real horror stories on people going into surgery miss or uninformed which destroys peoples lives...
