I have a bit of hair on my sholders and chest and not sure if it is just an illusion or what but it appears to be thinning out, could this be because the propecia is suppresing the hormones? has anyone else experienced the propecia waxing effect?

It doesnt work because what rogain does is help the blood flow through the scalp to help keep and grow hair, where propecia blocks those barsted DHT`s hope this answers 10 days until D-Day

Do a search through some previous forums if you havent already, however i do believe it is about 3months until proscar/propecia takes effect and Rogaine is 6 weeks , what you lose should grow back but if you stop it will fall out quickly and is even hard to gain back (or Rogaine hehe) not sure what your trying to stop but as in my situation it wont hold your hairline just the mid section although a lad on here is having awesome results with it hope this helps

would that amout give you good coverage? what is a good head of hairs density?

after 3 weeks apart from stilling having some hair is it still noticable you have had the procedure and does your head still hurt after it? i only get 2 weeks off to recover and im back to work and since i wear a hard hat its a bit of a worry, 20 days to go woo hoo!

Hi Yawl going in for my HT next month everyone says to get good cover for my nw2-3 im getting 1500 fu now people said this would not be enough so i asked the surgery about this and theyre reply was that they keep the grafts in groups single fu twin fu three fu etc to keep them in there natural groups instead of spliting them up so according to them i would end up with say 2500 3000 hairs also they do this many to reduce the trauma to the area as i read in another forum its like a vegi patch you cant plant them too close together now i consider them to be reputable but i just thought i would throw this out there to see waht peoples ideas are Cheers Andrew B

hey buddy i get my ht next month and im on propecia and they advised me to use minox 1ml once a day to help the shock loss 2months before and 2months after

mate im in your shoes im 23 and for a while i turned to alcohol to make me feel better and sleep im actually booked in for my ht next month and im very excited it may be a lil late to add to your forum but here it goes you may be against cosmetic surgery which i kinda am but you have to seriously think about it and justify why you are getting it some people take it too far but i think if you feel it will make you feel happier then whats wrong with that? At the moment i cant look in the mirror without feeling depressed but i feel inside that once my surgery is done i will not only feel better in front of the mirror but i will be more confident in public which i think is priceless because at the moment i cant even go out with my mates for a drink cause of my confiedence and as i said i resort to alcohol and working weekends but all i can say relating ht to women is make sure you not just getting it for women or a specific woman, most of all do it for yourself because i feel that before you can love somone you have to be love yourself (not in a ego type way) most all keep your head up buddy as the lovely christina agulira said we`re all beatiful in every single way (easy for her to say) and finnaly we`re all here for the same reason and i think its great that we all stick by each other like this Take Care Yawl

I believe these days that the word "laser" gets put to use more promotional than actual functionality eg if you where to use laser surgery rather than say scapel surgery which one sounds more appealing? not bagging out lasers but in this case i think its more used as a selling point then anything else and from what ive heard spending sometime out in the sunlight everyday will do the same thing thats my 2 cents

well i decided to take my trusty olympus in hand and decided to take some nice photos i dont feel too bad how they came out actually my hair is still short so its still a bit hard to tell but i think its thickish

cheers for your replys fella`s i understand where your coming from bspot about no hair at 25 i looked at a guys posting who had nothing at 20 who i take my hat of to cause i could not imagine that at that age as future doc said and myself, i think my mind is made up and i think you guys are probably right i will need more than 1500 but as you said from midscalp to the tip of hair line and widen the "V" (no offence i hate that term "V" mainly cause i almost knocked a bloke out over it but in this case it describes it well) 10-14mm which is all i really want i would be stoked with that infact (and if theres some left overs to join up my mistache so i could grow some porno handle bars, jokes) i do thank everyone who has and is putting there bit in to this forum i have all this bottled up in me song long feels go to let it out kinda theraputic cheers

i understand where you guys are coming from and i appreciate your advice which is good but im getting very confused, i was recomended 1500grafts would give me what i wanted by DR martinicks adviser who sits in on her operations but i should talk to her personally i guess 23 may be young but i have thought about this for the past 2 years or even more maybe i just have my heart set on it, now im going to get a bit personal here but when you get to the point where you dont even feel confortable going out with friends (theyre great they dont comment onit) but when you cant even go out without somone stating the obvious that your going bald (hello dipstick i look in the mirror everyday) and yes maybe i need to just deal with it or i have some other issues in my head, the fact that all i want is some of my temples back which from what i have researched it doesnt matter how much propecia rogaine or whatever else i can put on there i will never get them back which puts me more pro ht now after looking through all the forums on whether or not to doit, very confusing i will try and post photos from 3 4 years ago because i believe my loss to have slown down considerable i started loosing when i was 17 it was like "puff" bye bye temples overnight which is one main thing i want to do put a bit back into my temples while reinforcing what i have on top, i will jump on the propecia band wagon to keep what i have please dont take that as an attack hairbank and troy once again i appreciate the advice after all i have not made my final descision Cheers Browny
