    10 years..who did your ht? When you say saline rinse, what exactly do you mean..like saline solution for contact lenses? If so specify which kind so i can get some, if you say it works. How often do you use it and how do you use it? Just soak the grafts and leave it on till it dries? Could you use the saline and aloe vera on the grafts..i heard that works well also. Thanks for the help.

    thanks rp..have been thinking about getting it to cover shockloss if i have any after my surgery. Would it be able to cover up any around the scar if i needed too?

    hey..i was interested in getting toppik for the crown area and i was wondering 1. Does this stuff really work and is it as easy to apply as they say on the website? 2. Is it messy..come off of the hair? 3. Can you put it in your hair..and then apply gel or like a pomade/waxy type product or will it ruin the application? 4. Does water get it out easily or do you really have to shampoo? Thanks for all the help.

    calvin..thanks for all the info..i will let you know if i see any growth from .5mg a day. I've only been on it for a few weeks so i still have some time to go. That's really good that you have growth on your temlples..hopefully i'll be as lucky..since i think that is very rare. Did you happen to experience any shedding? if so when? Did it grow any back in the crown or middle of your head?

    calvin..i guess you could but that would be .25mgs a day..and the people who quarter proscar get 1.25mgs a day..i want to take at least .5mgs a day, but i guess you could do that if you want to save money..let me know if you are seeing positive results by taking .25mg a day.

    mjrb..thanks, thats what i have been doing..i figured it's better to take it everyday rather than skip a day in between.

    I am trying to get any tips for post op care and things i will need that will help in the recovery process..So far i have 1.Get hotel rooms the night before and after 2.Order Dermatch? and get Aloe Vera for redness? 3.Get an icepack for at home and advils for pain 4.No drinking a week before surgery 5 Bring an ipod to surgery to distract. Anyone have anything else i might need to know...Thanks

    jersey..thanks so much for filling me in on exactly what Dr. F does..makes feel a little better about what to expect. Congrats! on your results so far. How long was it before the grafts started to fall out? And how long before the natural hair started to grow back for good?

    I could be wrong but isn't .5mg everyother day well below what they advise you to take. If youre supposed to take 1mg everyday..and im going to take .5mg everyday which is half the recommended dosage per day and now you say .5mg everyother day...thats well below the recommended dosage..could it really still work at that amount per day?

    hey thanks for the replies...but im only having 12-1500 into my hairline so i dont think he will have to shave the recepient area since there isnt any hair there. If i keep the top long and back at least an inch..i should be ok to cover the hairline..and not look to bad.

    Quick question..When you leave after an HT..assuming that the surgeon doesnt shave the donor area, Will it be noticeable? If I have it at a number 4 clip, will it hide the sutures? I would have about 10-12 days before going back to work. Also, how long is the strip/scar..does it depend on the amount of grafts needed? Also,im going with Dr. Feller so anyone who has an HT with him...please let me know.

    i just got my first batch of propecia and i am undecided also... .5mg everyday or 1mg everyother day.. im leaning toward 1mg everyother day because then i wouldnt have to cut the pill each day and save money since my doctor wouldnt write me a prescription for proscar...any suggestions.

    Thanks Dr. That helps because im considering going on Propecia or Proscar...Is it ok if im on it while i get an ht..it doesn't matter right?

    how long does the back have to be to cover the staples or sutures? Mine is like a number 4 length with a razorclip? Dr. Feller doesn't shave the back for the incision like some i heard do right?

    thanks jersey...how long was your scar? From ear to ear. I thought it supposed to be 2 inchs?

    Do either of you know if the T close is visible when you leave after the surgery?

    yeah..that does help thanks..but i thought you take it to regrow your hair, not to just stabilize it? or am i mistaken?
