hey all, i searched for this but couldnt find an exact answer in the forums. Does Proscar initially cause you to lose hair when you start it and then grow it back later?(or only in some people) Also, What part of the head does it grow the hair back most effectively? Or does it just maintain what you already have? How long do you have to take it for...months, years..etc Thanks for the help.

thanks everybody for the suggestions....I thought of a few more that you guys might be able to shed some light on....after surgery maybe two days later can you start using hair products for your other hair while the grafts are still in?... and i use a pomade/wax and sometimes hairspray..will they cause damage to the grafts..and two is shockloss likely to happen to the hair next to and in back of my hairline after surgery? hey everybody, just joined up and recently went to Dr. Feller for a consult..seemed very nice and no pressure, which was great. I'm early thirties and have a receding hairline, Dr. Feller suggested 1200-1500 grafts, which i thought was right, and to go on proscar after surgery. I havent decided to do it yet, but if i did, I guess Dr. Feller would be the guy right? I have heard only great things about him on these forums. I forgot to ask these questions at the consult because i was a little nervous, but maybe you guys can help. How long does the surgery last? and he recommended strip instead of FUE, but i forget his reasoning as to why (maybe not enough grafts getting done). Also I'm not to young..I dont have any other loss really..a little miniturization in the back, but im guessing proscar can fix that right? Thanks!
