  1. Dear BigGuyPHX, Cheer up, Brother. I got my HT from Bosley as well (in San Francisco.) It was September 2006. So far, great improvement. I came first time HERE after the surgery and was pretty scared reading all these negative stuff about Bosley. I'm still not sure I did the right thing and for the 2nd surgery will, probably, go to some other place. By the way, my scar area was hurting for almost 3 (!!!) months, be prepared for the worst, OK? And, of course I hate to see this scar (looks really ugly if I cut my hair short) but can do nothing about it. Take care and keep us posted. Alec.
  2. Thanks a lot, again. I bought expensive, real Propecia today and got rid of Finpecia. Take care, Alec.
  3. Thank You so much, Family, looks like I was an idiot when I bought it. Don't wanna take any risks. I will go to Bosley and buy real Propecia. Thanks a lot, again. Alec.
  4. Dear Folica, Thank You for Your answer. However, I'm still confused. Should I take it and it will work as real Propecia or should I get rid of it and go to Bosley to buy expensive Propecia ?
  5. 1. I love I have more hair now. 2. I hate I can't cut them short because of this ugly scar.
  6. Hello Family, I had a surgery from Bosley last September. Went well, so far. I was taking Propecia that I bought from them. It has worked for me very weell. About 1 month ago I finished all of it and... I decided to buy this medicine on my own for cheaper price, ha ha. However, I made a mistake, I guess. Today I received Finpecia (Generic Propecia?„?) in blister strips of 10 tablets. It does not look like Propecia from Bosley. Is it complitelly different medicine and I made a mistake? What should I do? Start taking it or go to Bosley and buy real Propecia and get rif of these ones? Sorry, if my questions sound stupid. Alec.

  8. Dear Its752, I've done mine 1,553 graft with Bosley in San Francisco office in September 2006. First, when I read posts about Bosley here, I got very scared. However, 8 months have gone, and so far so good. People compliment my hair and I see the difference as well. Mega-session? I will, probably, go for it, not with Bosley, thought. Of course, if I have a choice between 2-3 small procedures or 1 big one, I will choose 1 procedure. Thanks a lot for the answer. P.S. Any suggestion on a good HT doctor in San Francisco or Bay Area? Take care, Alec.
  9. Dear Its752, What do You mean by "mega-session"? Sorry, I'm kinda new here. Take care, Alec.
  10. Hi Family, Wow !!! I couldn't expect to get so many answers in just 2 days !!! You, guys, are AMAZING !!!!!!!!!! It feels so good to have so much support here. Definitely, I will STAY AWAY from that place www.bevhills.com and do my best to inform others. By the way they advertised in many magazines and newspapers, it's how I heard about them. Love You all. Be happy. Alec.
  11. Dear Bayer, what EXACTLY the difference between "micrografts, minigrafts and Fleming/Meyer flap." and "normal" hair restoration procedure, at, let's say, Bosley? Thanks a lot !!!
  12. They --- www.bevhills.com claim that they are much better than any other hair restoration methods. Did anyone try it? Ot is i all bul? P.S. And, if someone tried, can You, please, post pictures and prices. Tnaks a lot, Alec.
  13. Dear Thirumbu, I'm 32 and also live in San Francisco. I had my Bosley procedure on 09/23/06. So far, pain is gone (I mean my scar area) and hair look better than before the procedure. Many people have notice it, and it feels good, ha ha !!! However, I'm also prepare for shock hair loss. I also take Propecia daily. The scar visiable and it bothers me a lot, because I like to cut my hair N3. I heard many bad stuff on this and other forums about Bosley and all I can do now is to continue taking Propecia and wait for the next 9-10 months to see my results. My advice - spend A LOT of Your time here before You choose who would be Your Doctor. I've read many good stuff about Sheldon S. Kabaker, MD (He's office is in Oakland). So far, ONLY good stuff. So first I plan to go to see Him in about 3-4 months to talk how to cover my first scar, and PROBABLY I will do a second procedure with him, as well. P.S. Start taking Propecia and multivitamins NOW, OK? Good luck, Alec.
  14. I'm 32 years old male. I have dark areas under and above my eyes since I was 14 or something. They ARE very visible because when I start new job or go to school people make jokes about it. I have tried many circle erasers. NONE of them work. Now I bought very expensive 'Hylexin' and for 2 months there are no changes. Is there are any operation to remove them? It is my only hope !!! I've heard about it but couldn't catch the name of it. I wrote "it's kind of topic", because after my procedure with Bosley 15 days ago they became REALLY UGLY. After the procedure, areas under and, especially, below my eyes were swollen a lot for more than 6 days and after swollen is gone my dark areas look just horrible. I sleep normal 7-8 hours a night. I'm slim, exercise 4-6 days a week, walk about an hour a day, in perfect physical shape, but my dark circles killing me. Yesterday, at work, 3 people asked me why do I look like I was parting for a week with no sleep? Please, help me, I'm so depressed !!! Alec.

  16. Day 11, so far so good. Swollen is gone, grafts look good and I feel excellent. On Saturday I'm gonna remove my stiches at the San Francisco Bosley office. I don't have enough words to describe how much I appreciate all Your Advices and Help, Brothers and Sisters. I will keep everyone posted and hope, my story (succesful or not) will help others as well. Love You all. Alec.
  17. Day 11. My swollen is COMPLITELY gone. Thanks a lot for the support and help, Family, love You all so much. Alec.
  18. Dear Davis, We are on the same boat. Brother. I did my procedure with Bosley (1,553 grafts) in San Francisco 10 days ago. I also found out bad stuff about Bosley AFTER the procedure. However, like people say HERE - cheer up, Bosley does some good procedures, as weel. Wait up to 1 year and go from there. Even if the 1st procedure was bad, You always have room to fix it with a good Doc. However, again, I hope that You might come up wiht some good results from Bosley, as weel. About falling grafts - it is perfectly normal. Wait 3-6 months till the REAL hair will sturt groging. Take care, Alec.
  19. Dear Bayscholar and NiCiaS, Thank You so much for the nice words and good piece of advice. I will move on and I will win !!! You are right, I gotta stay positive. No pain, no gain, ah? I listen to some good music right now, will watch some good comedy and will do some homework for my school. I will keep You posted, Brothers. I wanna be strong like many people HERE and I wanna encourage others as well. Love You all, Alec.
  20. I've been told by Doc that swollen will go away in 3-4 days. I did the procedure 6 days ago. On 2nd and 3rd day I even went to work - swollen was very little on my forehead. It started to swall a lot at the end of 3rd day, and on 4th day my forehead and my nose looked horrible. I started to use ice on the 3rd day ONLY. For the last 2 days I have the swollen areas under my eyes. It's a lot, I feel havy under my eyes and it's red. Almost no changes for the last 2 days - swollen stays at the same place. Is it normal that it takes 6 days? What should I do? I MUST go to work tomorrow and I'm scared to look so ugly !!!!! I did the procedure at SF Bosley office. I called them today and they said that it's normal, I should use more ice, wait, and s...t like that. Thanks a lot for any advice, Alec.

  22. >>I had two scars and my doc got rid of both and >>left me with one after my third HT Dear Tkerr22, I'm so sorry, if I ask a stupid question. I'm new HERE. How EXACTLY Your doc got rif of both of Your scars? It's kind of surgery or something? The new hair will grow where was a scar(s)? Will the scar(s) would be removed complitely? And, what about third scar? Should You wait for a while before You can remove it too and can it be removed permonently later on, as well? It's my main concern, so far. I did 1,553 grafts at San Francisco Bosley office 6 days ago and my scar looks horrible. I'm a kick-boxer and I have to have a short hair cut, Number 2, to be precise. How long should I wait before I have to do something aboun my scar? Thanks a lot, Alec.
  23. Dear Viki, Could, You, please open a new thread? I believe, You will get more respondes. I can help You very little, because I had my procedure 5 days ago at Bosley in San Francisco and I'm very new HERE. They took hair from my back (donor area) and put them in the front of my head. It was 1,553 grafts. It was VERY painful and for 5 days I have to stay home, becuase my forehead and now eyes are swollen a lot. Most of the people HERE don't recommend Bosley. Please, open a new thread and keep on learning, OK? Good luck to You, Brother. Alec.
  24. Thank You, Dear John_in_NC I will be very careful with my exercises. I'm sorry, but what does FUE stand for? Alec.
  25. Oh, Man !!!!! I still can't believe how nice You are, guys. I feel like I'm talking to my New Family !!! Thank You so much. I feel much better today. Physically I'm in a very good shape, the scar hurts a little bit, but except this I feel great. I can't go to School or to work since Monday. I use this Time to do my homework (I wanna become RN), clean my room, my computer files, to call or write to my friends, watch some new movies etc. I felt depressed BEFORE I came HERE, however now I'm full of energy. 1. My swelling is under my eyes now. Looks horrible, but now I know that is normal, right? I made a huge mistake. I ignored Doctor's advice to use the ice right after the procedure, because after the prosedure - 4 days ago - my forehead looked OK. I even went to work next day, and on 2nd day. On Monday (2nd day after the procedure) the swelling started. As You guys said, it started from my forehead and now it's under my eyes. Now,I have no choice, but to stay hone and use some ice and "alternating hot and cold compresses." Thanks a bunch. 2. I'm sorry, but I still confused about the ccar. Will it go away COMPLETELY (new hair will grow where was the scar ???) by itself in a few months or I have to do something about that? It's a big concern for me, because I'm a kick-boxer and must have short hair cut (Number 2). So my plan is to take Propecia daily (I'm doing it for 4 days now) and wait for about 1 year. I will be reading these forum posts and materials You've advised me to read. Then, in 1 year, I will, probably, go to the Doctors You all talking about HERE. Hope, that the Bosley Doctor did a good job. He did about 50% of procedure and, then, 2 RN's did another 50%. They looked very professional, however it's only my guess. They washed my hair on the next day, gave me good advises and checking on me (RN calling me) every day so far. I will post my pictures and will do my best to be an active member. I found many useful advises HERE and I want to be useful for someone as well. Love You all, Alec.
