Heya, Bobman! As you know, I haven't been on the hairloss websites very much for some time. I decided to have a crack at it this rainy Saturday in NYC, and here I find this gem. Great stuff! I got a real kick out of you noting that if the tires are <span class="ev_code_RED">BALD</span> you don't wanna drive that car. Don't we all know it!!! You and I both picked brand new Hassonmobiles!

I removed my staples at 15 days after my second surgery.

Beautiful result. I agree with Phil: No other clinic of which I know posts the kind of high-rez pics and video that H&W does. I love that last [side] pic; It doesn't get any more honest than that. Great result, great honesty!

Very sad. Rugger was such a funny, passionate and good-natured guy. Met him several times and always loved his sharp-witted banter. Rest in peace, friend.

Neither (although they do have lots of patients). It's because they (1) are honest and ethical in posting candid pics, for good or for bad, and (2) they typically do excellent work, so they are not ashamed to show candid pics.

The correct question should be: Why isn't every single doctor posting honest, up-close, clear pics and video? Well . . .

Your confirmation that many feel uncomfortable about it reaffirms my position: It was done to make Jon feel uncomfortable, embarrassed, even humiliated. The post was vile and ill-spirited.

This has nothing to do with Armani or Eric's response, but I'm just interested why the testicular part of the post bothers you? (For what it's worth, my brother was diagnosed and successfully treated for testicular cancer, so the way people talk about it is something that interests me).

Though I agree the sharing of a patient's medical information as a scapegoat for bad transplant work is both uncalled for and transparently bad practice, I just wondered why the testicular bit was so objectionable to some posters. Frankly, I wish more men were less squeamish about talking about testicles, it may save their lives one day!

Also, in light of what what Dewayene said about removing the old plugs, don't be so sure you can completely reverse things because scarring on a hairline may be noticeable. Every removal site will have scarring. Period. Surgery = scarring. The only question will be how noticeable will it be or, more importantly, will it be noticeable to the naked eye. In Dewayne's case, where one hair was left in, the answer is probably "no." But, if Dewayne were to shave his entire hairline (the equivalent of your going completely bald), I suspect scarring would be readily visible, and people might suddenly start staring at your forehead and wondering "hmmm, what happened there?" I suspect that lasering them out would be the better option but, even then, you have scarring from the '98 incisions.

Hiya, HB! Jees, how could I have been away for so long? Good to see you, my friend. I'll be posting new pics in about a month -- my 2-year shots! Knock on wood, things are holding up great. I didn't expect it, but I actually have seen thickening since month 18. Go figure.

Whoa! I log in for a friendly visit and this thread tops the list. Well, as a former "leading poster" in this forum I know that Pat is often caught in a tough spot balancing free speech against keeping the forum intact. Based on the various posts in this thread thus far, it seems clear that most people favor NG2GB's reinstatement.

One thing I know of Pat: He'll think things through and, if he agrees that a position is logical and appropriate, he will have no problem reversing himself. Sometimes it might take a few drinks to get that kind of clarity, but it usually follows.

I'm sorry to be so blunt, but since when is it ethical for a doctor to take batting practice on a live, human head? Why don't doctors just go and get an apprenticeship under a skilled surgeon and learn from someone skilled? This is outrageous, coming here to ask US for advice. Are you guys sure this is not a joke?

Thanks, NN. These last few days of "thanks giving" have made me reminisce a bit. I recall the years of fair loss, followed by hairpiece-hell. It was this site which saved my butt from Bosley the morning of my scheduled surgery with them. And the camaraderie and wisdom of so many posters helped guide me to where I am now. It's nice to have hair back, and to be able to style it is a real treat. I'm just learning, too. Here is a new set of combs I just bought:

It's gonna take me months to master these.
