  1. Day 173 First one is straight on. Second one is a bit more from above with a bit of harsh lighting. Super happy
  2. Friendly heads up @OldGuyWithHair, no need to tag everyone who has responded to the thread in every reply. Cheers and nice job on digging in.
  3. 148 Day Update Really happy - my confidence has absolutely skyrocketed and I still have 7 more months until it's officially "done". This has completely changed me as a person - I feel like a million bucks. This was today fresh out of the shower.
  4. @Spidey Sorry, meant to reply. It's coming off as shorter due to the angle in one shot and the lighting across the board imo. It's actually all the same length. Very happy so far considering that I have not even hit the 4 month mark
  5. Day 103 This is a big moment for me - I've finally gotten to the point where I am comfortable going out without a hat on. I had my barber even out the length of the surrounding hair and I'm really happy with where I am at. Still a little bit of improvement needed, but I'm very happy the direction I am going. I feel like every week it's a substantial jump for me. Started making some great life changes as well - I'm now at the gym 3 days a week and doing cardio 5 days a week. Between that and my progress with my hair transplant, my confidence and self esteem has done a complete 180. I know there is a bit to go hair-wise, but it's wild how much something like this can impact you. If you are reading this and you are on the fence/nervous about getting a procedure done, I would recommend that you do your research on your respective doctor and pull the trigger. The only regret that I have is not doing this when I was toying with the idea ~4 years ago. First and second pictures are fresh out of the shower. Picture three is the overhead after I popped out of the shower
  6. Day 94 Did a little clean-up with some scissors, as some of the growing hair was getting quite long. Getting a cut tomorrow to see if I can blend my front in with a short cut all around.
  7. Day 90 I'm thinking that if things keep progressing the way that they have been, I might be able to ditch the hat in a week or two. Might do a 3 or 4 blade across everything.
  8. Day 73 Substantial difference from the last update in my opinion. It so nice to see the finish line on the horizon for this ugly duckling phase These were both taken about 30 minutes after a shower
  9. Honestly, your journey and seeing Hasson stand by his work was one of the major factors that made me choose him. I'm very appreciative of you sharing your journey @Nordster34
  10. This is awesome. I am so hyped for you!
  11. You 100% should name the doctor so others don't make the same mistake.
  12. Day 60 Starting to be able to feel quite a bit of fine hair coming in - very excited Next update @ day 75!
  13. Day 44 Routine: Vitamin D, Xyon Dutasteride, Biotin, Ketoconazole shampoo 2x a week Next update @ Day 60!
  14. @Jzee Take a breath bud - I felt the same way when I was getting ready to get my procedure done about a month back. One of the nurses from my surgery said that everyone feels that way. Make sure that you have done your research and you're comfortable with your doctor. I went through a couple of things - nervousness to get the procedure in a different country -> nervousness for the actual procedure -> nervousness about the recovery process -> nervousness about concealing the procedure I'm in the ugly duckling phase right now (nearly 5 weeks out from my initial surgery), and I can tell you that I'm happy I pulled the trigger despite what my hair looks like right now. I rock a loose hat and nobody other than close friends know that I even had something done. I'd recommend starting a thread when you get your procedure done and then post regular updates - it's really nice to get objective feedback from forum members here. It lets you know that you're not in this alone. You got this.
  15. Going to start posting photos in 15 day increments now - Day 30 - Ugly duckling in full swing
  16. GL bud - I had my procedure with Hasson as well about 3 weeks back. Shed is happening, but I'm still happy I did it. Happy growing!
  17. Day 18 Shock loss is happening I've started back up on Minoxidil oral 2.5 + Biotin + Vitamin D daily. Probably going to reach out to the clinic and see if it's OK for me to start using Ketoconazole shampoo a couple times a week now.
  18. I used to live in Vegas and did a lot of research about doctors in that area. My mother had also been in the medical business between UMC and Valley hospital for 30+ years. There was nobody whom she could recommend after reaching out to multiple well connected doctor friends in the area. I know the allure of lower prices is definitely enticing, but I didn't want to go through this process multiple times. In the end, I landed on Dr. Hasson of Hasson & Wong. Pretty happy with what they and I'm excited to see my results. I did however pay quite a bit more. Overall, I felt he was the best choice for me if I didn't want to travel a ton. On top of it, he has great results and I was assured by @H & W Doug that they stand by their work. If I wanted to go a little cheaper and travel, I would probably have done something in Turkey, but I did not want to be traveling on a long flight with the potential of dislodging grafts. Just my 0.02
  19. He mentioned that I would have more than enough to do a touch up and fill my crown if that starts to thin. I'm truly dreading the shed, but it will all be worth it in the end.
  20. 11 Day Update Redness is starting to die down a little, but still there. A little dryness on the scalp, but I called the office and they recommended that I just put a wet warm towel on it for about 5 minutes or so every day until it subsides. I'm really hoping that after my shedding and regrowth that I get back to this same hairline, I really love what Dr. Hasson did.
  21. How funny, I was there the same day getting my procedure with Dr. Hasson! Looks like I missed you by about 45 minutes or so, as I showed up around 7. Sending positive vibes for good results
