  1. Hello everyone, I am currently engaged with several doctors to book an appointment for a hair transplant. I have been asking a few questions to understand how the procedure will be done and was wondering if anyone can validate the answers to the questions. I would like to understand if any of these answers raise red flags or require follow-ups? Is there anything else I should be asking? Are there any guarantees on the quality of the hair transplant? A hair transplant is not something that can be guaranteed. Many different situation can happen that are outside the surgeons hands. What size is the extraction tool? It’s not something that can be determined remotely. It depends on the hair characteristics. Usually 0.85mm-0.95mm How does the doctor do the apertures? With a blade or directly with the implanter pen. Depends on the scalp elasticity Will there be any techs involved or is all the work done by the Doctor? There are always techs involved in the surgery. They have many duties for assisting. The surgical parts of the hair transplant is only by a doctor How does he do the harvesting? What type of machine is used? It’s called mamba trivelini How is the hairline decided/recreated? Based on the face and scalp shape , age , hair characteristics taking into account a long term approach. Donor are availability is also a big factor in designing a hairline Do you keep track of transection rate and provide that information to your patients? No. Graft Transaction is more at the growth phase
  2. @A_4_Archan would you recommend the 3 USD package? Would be great if there was a way to see the differences in experience and results.
  3. Appreciate the responses! My only concern with dr pittela is the cost, is it not 4-5 USD per graft? If that is the case, unfortunately it is out of my budget.
  4. Hello everyone, I've been following this forum for almost a year putting off the decision to get a HT. I've got a great opportunity now to travel Mexico for a few months and thought this would be perfect time to get a HT. I've been looking at a few clinics but they all have their own pros and cons. I was wondering if anyone can give a recommendation or a new suggestion: Dr. Nader (Mexico) - I think this may be the best doctor on the list but I cannot get ANY response from him whatsoever Dr. Cortez (Mexico) - decent doctor but I've seen some questionable reviews that have made me a little nervous to commit. The remade hairlines are unnatural and the grafts seem low for what was quoted Dr. Camacho (Colombia) - looks promising but I don't have a lot of information. Also heard the doctor doesn't perform the procedure Any advice on these 3 doctors or new recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
  5. @Norwood_infinity Great write-up and congrats on the beautiful head of hair! Nader seems to be a magician and I'm all in on him for a consultation but I'm having a lot of issues getting him to respond. It's already been 15-20 days since my first submission and since then I submitted another consultation form, submitted 2 emails and left a voicemail. Anyone have any other advice?
