  1. Where can I buy Nixoral 2%? Do I need a prescription?
  2. The nurse explained that it would start growing at 4 months and be noticable at 6 months. I just wanted your guys opinion because you would know firsthand thru experience.
  3. Thanks for the info guys, I really appreciate it. I kinda see it sprouting, but then I don't know if that was the hair that was there before or not lol. I guess only time will tell.
  4. One thing about my procedure was taht Dr Tessler started my procedure, but then his assistants finished it. 2 of the girls finished it off. Maybe I got screwed =(
  5. I agree with John Se, you should go ahead with te HT with a skilled doctor. If all goes well you will be much happier in the end.
  6. thanks for the advice. Just one question, what is MSM?
  7. I really hate waiting for results. I'll be exactly 2 months post op tomorrow =( I heard the waiting sucks, but what really kills is the what ifs... what if it doesnt work.... So at about 4 months it should start to sprout?

  9. This brings up a question by me, he mentioned in his article that a the donor area in men thin out. That means that grafts will eventually fall out as you age. What are your guys thoughts on that?
  10. J020, I think I may be close to your situation, being only 3 years older than you. I think what everyone is trying to say is that, don't get a HT too early. YOu probably know by now just how careful you have to be. When I got my HT, my doctor wanted the HT to be so that when Im older it wouldnt look as fake, because the hairline of a 40 year is usually different than a 20 year old. And, my doctor also explained that I would need more HT's when the other receded if I had the available donor area. If you do go ahead with the procedure, make sure you don't get too many grafts, I wouldn't think you would need anything below 1400. Can you post any pics of your hairline so we can have a better picture and give the best advice? From this board, most people agree that Shapiro is one of the best. There's always a risk in a HT. That's why you shouldn't rush into a decision, just take your time and figure out what route you feel will be best for you.
  11. My procedure cost I beleive around $6,000. I'm not sure if that was too much or too less, because I had not foudn this Forum at the time. I am just praying anxiously for results at this point.
  12. I had 1297 grafts at Dr Tesslers clinic in Southfield, MI. I'm 23 years old. I'm getting to 2 months post op(2 months on the 29th)
  13. My doctor did not really explain about the dormant phase. The nurse said the hairs will start to grow in at 4 months, and get thicker by 6 months. Sorry I have no 1 day post op pics, but I will be taking pics each month to monitor any progress.
  14. Right, it was in the end of july. I just wanted to know because I wondered if the water directly from the showerhead would damage any grafts even after the 3 weeks post HT.
  15. The Nurse who was there for the HT explained to me not to let the shower water directly hit the HT area. But, how long should that be the case? For months, years? Or only after first couple of weeks, and we can go back to normal. Does anyone know the answer to this?

  17. I have been told that if you lose a hair and if the root is there(small white root at the end of the hair), then that hair will never grow back. I have been losing hair after abotu 7 week post op, and its from the back of the head also. And, these a lot of the hairs that I'm losing have taht white root if you look closely at the hair.I'm afraid these hair are enver going to grow back, and I'm only 23. Has annyone experienced similar?

  19. I have been having trouble when I shower the last few times. I have noticed that I have lost a big glob of hair each time. I am using Nizoral 2 times a week and Free and Clear shampoo the rest. This is a Mild Shampoo. I know it may sound silly to worry about the hair I'm losing after I shower. But, I rarely lost hair that much in the shower, only when I first starting losing my hair. I have been on Propecia for 6 weeks(since the HT). And have been rogaining the back of my head. I just want the loss to be less progessive.
