  1. Happen to have any pics around 10-14 days post op? Or do you remember if the grafts were growing with your native hair before they shed?
  2. Just unreal. Not sure I’ve come across this much density, while retaining naturalness and starting from where you started. Jaw drops every time you post pics! Congrats mate!!
  3. Man, I’d be ecstatic. That looks so good. Congrats
  4. Thank you man! I just turned 30 a few days before the op.
  5. Hey mate. I had everything narrowed down to Pekiner, Laorwong, and Freitas. To be honest, I really wanted Pekiner. However, Pekiner rejected me and wanted to “wait a year” and see how my thinning progressed. Both Freitas and Laorwong felt Finasteride + topical Minoxidil gave me marked improvement, so they offered me appointments. I decided on Dr Laorwong due to his hairline designs, density and availability. He also does not use rows, which was important for me, as I’ll buzz my hair down from time to time. As far as overall end results, I scoured clients pictures for all three docs and honestly couldn’t see any difference as far as producing dense hairlines. Currently just at 5 weeks post op from Dr Laorwong. Feel free to reach out.
  6. Looking real solid man. Going to be nice and dense, for sure. Looks like healthy growing so far!
  7. Thank you, mate! Yeah, day 14 was peak for me and I felt so confident going around haha. You can do it, definitely much more of a mental game than I was ready for.
  8. 1 Month update — the shedding has really slowed down. Maybe 50% of hairs shed? Not sure what this means. Still pinkish, pretty much all numbness is gone though.
  9. Damn, this looks good man! Dr. Laorwong has been cooking! Absolute machine. Creates beautiful hairlines, with thick density - at a high volume, without using rows and only one patient a day. Just amazing.
  10. Actually, was it just hairs themselves you and him pulled out? Or actual, FUE grafts that were pulled from your scalp?
  11. Anyone know how common this is for grafts to just not take like this? I’m coming up on 3 weeks post op and definitely have a few grafts that look like this.
  12. That means a lot, I thought about the design for months. Once I met with Dr Laorwong, he drew the hairline, I asked for a bit more widows peak and that was it. Haha definitely created a lifetime of memories for me. I actually reached out to Dr Laorwong, as I fell asleep as soon as I laid on my back for the implantation process. We hadn’t discussed it before treatment, but it was offered at the consultation and I just thought “give me everything you’ve got.” Lol.
  13. Thank you, mate! I agree with the hairline design, I was worried at first but feel he designed a hairline I really love. For the surgical aspects, I don’t think Dr Ratchathorn was too involved, as it was primarily Dr Laorwong - however she was very involved in the admin aspects of the procedure. She walked me through what to expect, pre / op - post / op directions, the HIV test, payment etc. I didn’t ask too much about what the stem cell therapy was, I really just blindly accepted it lol. I may or may not have had a bit too much fun for my first time in Thailand leading up to surgery 😅
  14. Howdy all, after nearly a year of deliberation and research, I booked with Dr. Laorwong in Bangkok, Thailand July 2023 for September 2023. I spoke with multiple doctors, and heavily considered several. Ultimately, it came down to Dr. Pekiner, Dr. Freitas and Dr. Laorwong. What I loved about Dr. Laorwong is how responsive he was to all of my questions (most of them quite dumb) and the incredible value he provides. His results over the years, and especially as of late were impressive to me. I’m a fine hair, blonde, diffuse thinner and he initially suggested 3500 grafts. However, after taking 1mg Finasteride / day and topical minoxidil foam once a day for 5 months my balding completely stopped and I saw regrowth. So, in person he ended up suggesting just 2500 grafts for the density and results I hoped to achieve. I feel most of the “Bangkok / Absolute Hair experience” has been covered here, so I’ll go directly to pics. To sum, I had zero pain and only mild discomfort during, after and weeks after procedure. The staff, Dr. Laorwong and Dr. Ratchathorn were all heavily involved, so charming, sweet and took care of me like I was a king. My procedure was 2500 grafts FUE with the Trivilleni system, 4 days of LLLT, PRP and I paid a bit extra for the offered Stem Cell Therapy. First and Second pics are a few days pre-op. Third pic is just post-op. Fourth, Fifth and Sixth is from today (day 12). Of course finding out about Dr. Laorwong would not have been possible without this forum. I’m grateful and thankful for this forum.
  15. Looking great, man. Was already probably covered - but are you taking fin/min? Congrats and good luck to the future!
  16. I'll be honest - this looks amazing! It's just me and my opinion, but the less dense area looks like it's supposed to be there and makes your hairline look more natural. If it were me, I'd roll with it, whether it ends up filling in or not. But I'm just a guy haha and understand you probably have different expectations.
  17. Thank you for this response. I’ve been talking with Hattingen and Feriduni. I also REALLY like Couto, Freitas and Ferreiras’ work. Thank you Melvin. It’s good to hear that I wouldn’t need to look too hard. Despite it not looking as thick as those with the mentioned hair type, I’m hoping to still get my hair as thick and flowing as it was a few years ago.
  18. Hey There, I’m planning a hair transplant and talking with a few surgeons. Some surgeons have a clientele with different hair types, just depending on the area. For example, some doctors may have clientele with much darker, thinner hair. When choosing a doctor - does this matter? Would your results differ if going to a doctor whose clientele primarily consists of dark, thick hair - if your hair is more thin, fine and blonde? Do different hair types “lay” differently than others? I hope this makes sense. My hair is thin, fine and more blonde and a few of the doctors I really like, have clientele with darker, more thick hair. thank you!
