  1. Hey man, I feel with you. I have also the same problem. I went to a reputable doctor (one you listed already) and ended up like this. After 5-6 months, if you dont see improvement, then the chance is little you will see in the upcoming months. How is it looking now?
  2. It really depends on the length. If its a bit longer, then it looks like a part. If its shorter, then it look like two empty stripes.
  3. @Melvin- Admin can you change the title and remove the one-month-post-op section, because that's not true anymore? Btw, I'm also curious about your opinion. Also others who were defensive and believed that it was a shockloss seems to be quiet now.
  4. I don't remember they took photos before the surgery, I do remember they took afterwards. I also never took good quality side profile photo's, because I never had a problem here. The only photo's I have are taken from far away (right profile, all after my first HT)
  5. I'm curious what the people think who previously said it was shock loss. You guys still think that way? Or was I right about my concerns from the very beginning now that we are 5 months later. I don't know how this could happen with a highly experienced and recommended surgeon like dr. Bisanga. I am definitely looking worse than before my surgery. Even the overharvesting on the back of my head by the Turkish clinic didn't look this bad when my hair was longer. I wish I had never done this second surgery.
  6. Thank you for the picture. I can see the implanted grafts. You mentioned before: Step 2: Mwamba | 800 scalp grafts into outer ring, 500 beard grafts combination of filling in beard gaps and also lower horseshoe of head, 500 chest grafts into donor So it was total 500 chest grafts or 150? Also, you used 800 scalp grafts. Did dr.Mwamba extracted those also without shaving the donor?
  7. I thought chest hair survival rate and coverage was not that good. But in your case it really looks good if i compare with how it was before: Normal people wouldnt even notice it. Only HT patients can see. Did dr Mwamba shaved your hair or was it unshaven? And how much chest grafts did he use?
  8. You put chest hair in your back donor, or above your ear where it looked a bit patchy? And did the chest hairs grew well? What about scarring on your chest?
  9. I'm just a little hesitant to use scalp hair as donor, because I'm afraid that the same will happen again. I dont want to fix a problem by creating another problem somewhere else on my scalp. This is exactly what happened with this second surgery. And even if i want to do this, i dont know who else i can trust. I mean, i went to a recommended surgeon who was known for his repair surgeries and i ended up like this...
  10. It was a Turkish clinic called Gold City. I also doubt it, even from the beginning. Most people said its shockloss and needs time. But the truth is that i am entering my fifth month and up until now no improvement at all. My sides were never dense so there was already less hairs per cm2. Thats why i told the doctor that i dont think its a good idea to use the sides as donor. He said nothing will be noticeable. Now, i am left with a even worse situation then before. I cannot wear my hair short or long on the sides. The patchiness is always visible. I wish i ve never done this "correction" surgery.
  11. Hello, its been 4.5 months now and here is quick update: Donor area (right side): Still no improvement here, i try not to give up my hope but it bothers me. The donor area in the back where we implanted a few BHT didnt even looked this bad. Different lighting: Hairline: not much difference in density yet, still early i think.
  12. Yes, i hope the hairline will improve further. Growth will start from month 4 i think and at month 6-7 i should see a difference. My only concern is the donor though. I dont know, they told me its not a virgin scalp. And maybe also because of ridging/cobblestoning.
  13. Its been well over 4 months since my surgery with dr Bisanga and here are the results. Donor, right side (still patchy): Hairline, no difference with before surgery (hopefully will start to grow from now on):
  14. The customer service is not so good, i had the same problem.
  15. Well, i also have this issue and i am over 3 months now. Still no improvements. You need to wait 2-3 months, after that i dont think it will improve that much.
  16. When i had my first HT they didnt recommend minoxidil at all. But my second HT the doctor recommended it. Its very confusing.
  17. Please unfollow this topic. Dont need comments like this. Same for your dude. I try to post an update each month, what's wrong with that? My concerns are mainly about the donor. If i saw the slightest improvement every month, i wouldn't be concerned like this. Because when you see progress, you believe more and more that it will get better over time. I only share my concerns because most people here said it looks like shockloss and i still hope it is. Also, the clinic told me that it should look normal after 2-3 months But i didn't see improvements up until now and then you start to worry. Especially when I see other posts where people see good improvements after each month in their donor. I will post another update next month and if you guys have difficulties with this, please unfollow this topic. No body is forcing you to see my progress.
  18. Some clinics advised me to use topical minoxidil after two weeks of surgery. I am very confused now.
  19. Hello, i did my first HT in 2023. The clinic told me to use minoxidil after 3-4 weeks but only on my donor area, not on the transplanted area. They said that minoxidil can cause for loss on transplanted area. What are your experiences using minoxidil? You guys experience some loss? And what about using minoxidil on the long term. Some say it will lose its effectiveness over time and you will lose more hair.
  20. Can shockloss also occur on different area's? I had a surgery for adding density to the left side of my hairline. After 2-3 months i noticed thinning/loss on the left side, but also on the right side of my hairline. Is this normal?
