  1. btw everyone i joined a verteporfin telegram for people with scars, they are very interested and they will be testing it on their scars probably with scar revision. They have a doctor that has access to verteporfin that will be administering it i believe , so we should have more cases soon. Also someone on Reddit is ordering verteporfin next week, he will be doing a microneedling test! I'll update you if i get any further information on these.
  2. No, he used it a single time, it hasn't been tested more than once on the same area as of yet, not even by the animal researchers as far as I'm aware
  3. A beard transplant would be a perfect proof that it's working and it could be done on multiple people simultaneously creating a randomized clinical trial and less verteporfin useage than a full fue
  4. That's a really big difference! the scar is practically gone and normal skin in it's place..wow!
  5. i had an idea, the HT Doctor could make the incisions in the recipient area and instead of placing follicles from the donor in them, they place verteporfin in those incisions to allow the skin to heal back normally hopefully with robust thick hair follicles.
  6. Oh no worries, his results have been insane! from a glance it looks like 60-70 percent regrowth of the hair in the donor where the highest dose the 0.4 concentration was administered after the original follicles were extracted at the start of the trial
  7. 5 month update? what 5 month update... Dr Bargouthi's first trial is already completed it's been completed for some time now, over a year i think. Am i missing something? I know that we're waiting for the 5 month update for Dr Bloxham's trial though.
  8. Super excited about HairDao's podcast with Dr Bargouthi... should be soon...they posted another tweet about it.
  9. Right and they're based in New York, it's not impossible to get a hold of them
  10. I think he's just working on it, He has four separate patients, he has to get the pics from all of them and then compile them into a video and upload it; all that takes time; He probably already has the four month pics or maybe he plans to go straight to month 5-6, if he didn't see any spectacular change/ difference in month 4 pics so he doesn't want to deflate our hopes. He might also be waiting to have at least one of them come into the clinic so he can record their results in person, so he can show the results better, or perhaps he's waiting for the trichoscope to arrive and he plans to do some trichoscopy analysis on one of the patients.
  11. verteporfin causes skin to heal back normally with its appendages such as sweat glands and more importantly hair follicles, minoxidil is a growth stimulant that gives life to dormant follicles, maybe together they could work synergistically to regrow hair that has supposedly been lost for years maybe with some wounding mechanism. so basically the verteporfin could bring the hair back in its miniaturized state and the minoxidil could be used after to grow it back to thick terminal hair, provided that verteporfin regenerated hair in those areas is not already thick and terminal.
  12. He uploaded a new video on his YouTube channel 15 hours ago, so i think he might update us soon... the video he uploaded is not verteporfin related, but at least he's active right now. Posting the video link below. https://youtu.be/P-ite6cBaRU?si=hIE9WD6XjKvZWVVC
  13. Has Dr Bloxham put out any update in the discord? I think we're mid month 5 now in his trial. He said he wanted to do a microneedling test with verteporfin also, so looking forward to how that goes.
  14. i think we have to rule out whether those hairs were transected hairs or hairs that were not extracted but didn't experience shock loss like the rest of the hairs, or is that not the case
  15. Yeah, a new study just dropped today also. Verteporfin-Loaded Bioadhesive Nanoparticles for the Prevention of Hypertrophic Scar https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38084464/
  16. True, and if verteporfin works on bald areas after wounding we are all effectively cured! no matter how severe the hair loss is.
  17. Oh so it's like technodermas drug TDM- 105795 a topical thyroid antagonist? ..https://firstwordpharma.com/story/5729288
  18. It's really long lol https://twitter.com/HairDAO_/status/1732787733855129746
  19. Guys, just an update but HairDao seems to be seriously investing in verteporfin. Wow! Including setting up a podcast with Dr Bargouthi and helping both Dr Bargouthi and Dr Bloxham get trichoscopes according to their tweets
  20. I'm nervous as hell about his next update..the last update didn't show any significant regrowth on one of the patients. I don't understand what's going on , when Dr Bargouthi's trial has shown consistent progress and regrowth with each update on his patient. On the last update one of Dr Bloxham's patients didn't show any regrowth, and he even said himself it looks like a scar is forming on that patient in the verteporfin treated area but the other two patients seem to have some regrowth so it's very confusing to me. We really need this to work...
  21. that's why i think it's better to do it under a doctor's supervision , Dr Bloxham said he wanted to experiment with verteporfin after microneedling, but he hasn't done it yet...
  22. yeah, unless it works with microneedling on bald areas in that case then u won't have to have any transplants
