  1. Yeah, I agree. The thing is what makes me curious is how certain elite doctors are known for higher Norwoods. It is not that they magically “create” grafts. Do they have a higher survival rate or they just take more risk? Something like that?
  2. Ah ok, I think I understand but you mean the “cheaper” clinics just do more grafts in general or are in tule better at doing it too?
  3. Why are some doctors able to get more grafts from the donor than others?
  4. Yeah looks good with him. Thanks for the response.
  5. Dear members, I have planned an operation head and body grafts next year with Dr. Kostis at BHR Belgium. I am a bit worried now since Dr Kostis and Bisanga here in the forum are not famous for higher Norwoods? I am a Norwood 6, taking oral Minoxidil but donor not perfect. The plan is to cover the frontal part and maybe add some MHP. What do you guys think? Should it be ok since they are good doctors?
  6. So Zarev or Eugenix? And HDC and Sikos? Saw that they have experience too. Bisanga also did some higher Norwood cases I guess?
  7. Yeah I do realise there is a difference and there are experts on certain areas but I don’t know (obviously) why there is such a difference since it is the “same” procedure.
  8. I don’t understand why some doctors are better in higher norwoods. I do understand the part of experience but it is still the same procedure only spread out to a larger surface? Maybe some doctors just do more grafts in a session? Or am I seeing it wrong?
  9. Dear members, Quick question (not sure if it’s the right section): Are any vaccinations recommended in advance of a hair transplant? Somebody told me to do a Hepatitis B vaccination or is this not necessary at decent clinics? Probably not but wanted to know you guys their opinion. Thanks in advance!!
  10. Did you have to take medication? Or not necessary yet?
  11. Dear members, Does anyone know how long you will need to wait after a hair transplant untill you can use fibers and/or a hat again? And microneedling, approximately? Thanks in advance!!
  12. One last (random) question: are Dr. Bisanga and Dr. Kostis very strict drawing hairline or is it possible to draw one in agreement with the patient? Dr. Bisanga drew a very conservative one during the consult a while ago. I am very aware that you never should go to low but for me the most important thing is to frame my face. Will also use it with fibers so I don’t care about the crown etc. I saw some comments from people who were thinking Dr. Bisanga his hairline is sometimes a bit too conservative? thanks! PS. Do you need to pay VAT extra or is there a construction to avoid this?
  13. Awesome! Thanks guys. Will make my decision to or go with him or stick to my initional choice, HDC. BHR a lot closer to home though and will also probably need BHT. Probably a little but same price as they are just in my budget. Thanks guys!
  14. Dear members, Does anyone have experience with Dr. Kostis alone at BHR Belgium? I was able to find some results but as an assistant of Dr. Bisanga and not alone. I heard there are packages of which you can book Dr. Kostis alone as well. He is also not on the recommended Doctor list (maybe a bit too soon?) Thanks in advance,
  15. Is it true Dr. Bisanga prefers prescribing oral minoxidil now over finasteride? I heard he said it could work potentially better even though it works differently?
  16. I totally agree. Unfortunately he is a bit out of my budget. Some clients of him on the Dutch forum speak very good about him. I think he is one of the few that does the whole procedure himself and they say he speaks very passionate about his profesion. You definitely need that to get these kind of results.
  17. Very clear, thanks! It definitely helps.
