  1. Thanks yeah thats a big help! It's hard to get to talk to the doctors as they're usually busy and have to talk to reps
  2. Thanks, my thick donor hair gives me hope because my hair loss is so bad. FueCapillar told me my loss is too much for a HT even. As for Eugenix, they told me it's not compulsory to be on Fin beforehand and can still produce a good result if I'm not, but if I want to, I could try meds for 6 months first and it might help. I'm not sure if I want to wait another 6 months to 1 year but if it would help a lot I would.
  3. Yeah I'm no doctor but I've always had very thick hair (it's weird I lost most of it), I am of part Mediterranean descent so the hair I do have on the sides appears to still be very thick and almost unmanageable, as it was when I was a kid. They will always take hair from my beard which is thick. So in your opinion there wouldn't be much point in waiting another year or so on Fin? I attached a pic to this post btw. Thanks for the help.
  4. I am a Norwood 6 apparently, as I say my donor hair on the sides and back is very thick but virtually all gone on the top. I've attached a pic. Is fin still recommended for 6-12 months or not worth it? Obviously I'm gonna take it afterwards, but just want to know if I need to postpone my treatment for another year and take it or it effects are likely to be minimal. Thanks for the help.
  5. Hi guys, I'm looking for some advice. Basically, after extensive research I have decided to go for a HT at Eugenix as I have heard they're one of the best for high Norwood cases. I'm a Norwood 6. The only thing is, I have not been on any medication to aid hair loss, such as fin or minoxidil. When I first started losing my hair in my early 20s (15 years ago) I tried it for a few months, but basically just gave up on everything and didn't think it was working (maybe didn't give it a fair chance). Anyway, Eugenix have basically told me I need 5500 grafts, their consultation below; "Currently, you seem to have Norwood Grade VI of baldness but this may progress in future The marked area could require: 5500 Proposed Harvest from Scalp: 3500 Proposed Harvest from Beard: 2000" Now I've read up more and more and basically everyone says you should be on Fin or something similar 6-12 months before considering a HT? Is this true? If so why haven't Eugenix advised me of this? They've said I should take it after the HT which I of course will, but haven't mentioned taking it before hand. They simply enquired if I was already on it, and not that I should start taking it before a HT if I wasn't. The reps seem quite pushy for me to book, not excessively so, but enough where it seems to me they may be more interested in taking my money quickly than the best possible outcome. I do know they are a highly regarded clinic though so I'm surprised this kind of thing wasn't mentioned. Though I have lost an excessive amount of hair my donor area is very thick, and tbh I'd very surprised if something like these medications would bring any hair back, more like just inhibit further loss. This makes me wonder I really need to wait a year and take Fin first before going for it. Many thanks
  6. Hi, so I have virtually made my mind up to go to Eugenix I think. I am a NW6, and am needing 5500 grafts. They have suggested around 3500 on the scalp and 2000 from the beard. A few Turkey clinics have said I'm too far gone for a HT, but most tell me I'll need 7k+ grafts over two sessions, from the scalp only. My question is, what is the reason for using the beard hair and only having one session? They have suggested I only need one session, which will end up with less grafts than two sessions with 7k. Is it just so they can do everything in one session? Or will beard hair provide thicker and better results even with less hairs transplanted? I am fine with doing it if the results will be better, though I am a bit worried about potential facial scarring.
  7. Thanks, I appreciate it. I don't understand Hindi however but I'll take your word for it.
  8. This is good to know. Ill look for that video. I am hoping with Eugenix's reputation even the 75inr package would be decent enough, let alone the 120.
  9. Thank you! How did you find your experience with Eugenix? I totally get you in the not wanting to cheap out department. It's why I'm going with Eugenix in India in the first place and not a Turkish Mill. I've read a lot of good things about Dr Das who's part of the 120 package so I'd be okay with her I think. I posted the same question on Reddit and a couple of people who have also had work done at Eugenix seemed to think it's not worth paying the extra. From what I've read it seems to be a very tech orientated procedure anyway, with doctors having minimal input. And I figure Eugenix would be on their a-game regardless. As I said I'm definitely game to pay the extra 3k but only if it's something that would make a big difference. If Dr Das, Basel, etc are barely involved but very good techs are handling it regardless, I don't want to hand over an extra 3k for nothing.
  10. Hi guys, so following on from my first post here I think I have decided to have some work done at Eugenix in India. I have been quoted as needing 5500 grafts, some taken from my beard area. I have expressed interest in the 120inr package, under the guidance of Dr Das. This will cost me around 8k. I am wondering if in anyone's opinion there would be a big difference regarding the outcome between this and the 75inr package, which will cost me around 5k. If the results will genuinely be much better id of course pay the extra, but 3k is a lot just for "peace of mind". Anyone have an opinion or advice regarding this? While having a Dr like Dr Das involved is much preferred, I am of the mentality that Eugenix will do a good job no matter what as they want to keep their good reputation in tact. I know the more expensive package also pays for your hotel, airport pick up etc but I doubt these would have a significant difference on the starting price. Many thanks!
  11. I'm wanting to go with Eugenix and have been quoted roughly 5k for the 75INR package and roughly 8k for the 120 package. I have a nw6 and need 5500 grafts, some taken from the beard. I have specified I'd like Dr das to be involved if I go for the 8k package. I am now basically trying to work out if it's worth the extra 3k or not.
  12. May I ask what made you chose an FUT over an FUE or DHT? I'm considering a FUT with Bicer but also an FUE/DHT elsewhere. Worried about the scar from an FUT but think it yields better results for my loss (7k grafts needed)
  13. Even if you chose the regular technician package (not more expensive senior one)? If so would the lowest package be the sensible option?
