Hey man so here's the thing. When I posted this I was extremely nervous because all over-harvesting pictures online resembled mine. However around 2.5-3 months or so after this post, once the hair were over an inch long it started to blend in and you couldn't tell I got a transplant done from the back. It may even have been shock loss as I have extremely sensitive skin and the antiseptic or whatever applied there really did a number on it. There are two areas however I which have more hair harvested than others and so if my barber cuts too much it shows upon close inspection, but only for a few days.

One small complain I do have is that the hairline looks a bit fake. He didn't spend enough time giving a little fade in the front. Having said that I joined a new job after getting this done and I believe no one has noticed the transplant. I'm fairly happy with the transplant as of now, I cant remember myself from the days of having a balding hairline at all.

I do want to get another done soon as my original hair is falling out leaving a gap. But I may go for consultation at Eugenix or other ones mentioned in this forum to avoid the panic and fix the hairline maybe.

Overall I think Arth is not bad. I'm happy with my results. Though with such a huge life decision I wish he'd take more time to consult you and allay your fears. He is in a rush all the time but seems to generally get it right. However a doc in rush isn't very reassuring.

I'll try to post a series of pictures in this forum if I get the time of my whole journey.

Ok thanks for the reply..and yes pls upload latest pictures..

    Have a couple of questions:

    1. Did he have you take medicines?

    2. DId you ask him why the full procedure wasnt done by him? i see he has around three to four surgeries daily but not all are HTs..i think his clinic has more of plastic surgeries like gynomastia something...

    3. My quote was around 1700 USD...same for you? around half a dollar per graft..

He did seem confident(over?) enough saying only three clinics are the best in India..his,eugenix and the jaipur soni one but yes after half hr appointment he was in a hurry to go over to the next one...maybe i will have one more appointment and clear all the remaining questions..

If you are in Ahmedabad or Gujarat, let me know if there are other doctors worthy to go to check.

I did go to Eugenix but again their leaning on the use of medicines is what i think is why they have relatively better results. And for crown area i really dont think anyone is as good as they say atleast in India.

  2. @Gatsby thanks i did go to eugenix for consultation..they werent that sure if the results will be great as in my case baldness will still be undergoing and wanted me to take medicines.. i was ok with them performing HT for the hairs gone already and later after 5-6-10 years can revisit for another HT for the lost hairs..also my baldness is in the crown area and thinning near front scalp..i think i have to manage expectations as there arent many doctors who can operate successfully with great results on the crown area and that too for a patient who has aversion to taking life-long medicines...

Here's what i found on Mohsina Dastan. This person was a dentist and 2 years later a hair transplant doctor? Another big thing to look out for is whether a doctor offers any other types of surgery. To be an expert in hair transplants you need to do ONLY hair transplants for 10 years or more....you can't do a hair transplant today and spend the next day doing root canals in people's mouths.

My advice would be to avoid the clinic and check out the recommended list here. Eugenix is the logical choice in your part of the world.

Oh and another thing, although it's easy to be impressed by, celebrity endorsements don't really mean much. Of course a celebrity will get the best treatment - because it's free advertising. Find clinics who treat every patient like a celebrity - which means lots and lots of great results.

Yes i found it odd as well, BDS done and then PG in HTs.

I think i have found better reviews of the Clinic where founding members operate from instead of other branches. Also applies to other popular clinics.

Ofcourse the celebrity endorsement cannot be taken at face value. They do get founders mostly to do the surgery with utmost care.

Eugenix does seem like the logical choice ruling out Assure(if doing outside of the main branch) and Medispa. Have sent email to Juan as well but he is booked till 2024 :)

I would google every variation you can think of for "assure hair transplant review" as well as searching for the name of the doctor....if you know the name of the doctor that would perform your surgery.

The problem with clinics having multiple locations is they often work based on the brand name rather than a doctor. I went to Feller Medical and my transplant was done by Dr Feller - there was a clear 10+ year track record of results, reviews and industry expertise online.

If you go with a brand name, who is the person putting their name to your result? I'm not saying that brand names or multiple locations are necessarily bad things, but it's something to be very cautious about and requires more research and verification.

If you can't find anything online and can't be told anything about the doctor, that would be a red flag. 5-6 sittings for 3,500 grafts sounds strange.

Thanks..a good suggestion to search for the doctors reviews instead of clinics.. i have tried to search for reviews for Assure Clinic but found few..they did have a list of celebs who have done HT at their clinics with video as well and the Infra does seem good. Just vary of the number of reviews if the 17k transplants have been done.

The dr's at the location where i will be going is Dr Mohsina Dastan and Dr. Rishi Patel. Just found basic search hits for them instead of full fledged reviews apart from the Google reviews.

Also its actually 5-6 sitting for upto 8k grafts, i frankly was not concerned about my hair going from the fore-scalpe area as it is thinning but not at the stage where my crown is but they did say that i would need another HT for that area and this would cover the full hair restoration.

This is just the start of the journey..will be checking other avenues as well.

There’s unfortunately not many reviews for other clinics outside a select few here but that’s either this forum isn’t popular enough or the patients are selfish and won’t share here.

Thanks.. thats what i thought..also makes me a little skeptical if the site hasnt been taken over by these clinics for "shilling" their HTs. Due diligence in place. I have though made a list of other clinics as well which are more featured in this group and will take a look at them as well.

  6. Just started consulting for HT and started with Assure. They have several branches in Mumbai, Gujarat and now in Dubai. Have done around 17k HTs.

Mine could be NW5-6 with crown area where utmost care needs to be given.

Went in thinking may need 2k-3k grafts but was told about around 7.5k-8k grafts in 5-6 sittings for full hair restoration fore scalp, mid and crown section each done by a doctor and PRP included. (3k-3.5k for crown)

I told them i do not want to use any medication(fina, mino) and they said they do not use them in their treatments and results are all without medications.

Cost is coming around 4-4.5k USD...does anyone have any experience with Assure Clinic?

Also is 7k-8k grafts ok for a first time transplant?
