  1. yup its brand name, and thanks i think i was just freaking out a bit bug im good now and yea my blood pressure is naturally a bit higher along with having familt members that have high blood pressure so maybe itll end up helping
  2. its from alldaychemist, im pretty sure they’re reputable, what do u think?
  3. i have personal reasons as to why i don’t have doctor supervision rn, which i likely shouldn’t be doing and i may stop and wait until i do, im monitoring my blood pressure myself and figured a low dose of 0.5mg and at MAX 1.25mg would be fine. i actually just looked into it and 2 members had heart attacks and 2 have/had high blood pressure. however, i have some general questions about using oral min, when do you use it? on an empty stomach, with food? any other health conscious efforts to do when im taking min?
  4. OK SO if you were to get side effects how long until u start noticing them? IM ALMOST certain this is nocebo, but my chest feels tighter and im lowkey kinda worried about using min 💀 i used 0.5mg so really it isn’t much but plan on using 1.25mg eventually. how long would you guys recommend i stay on 0.5mg and any other advice?
  5. thanks for the in depth response! that makes sense
  6. ohhhh, so our sensitivity to dht over time decreases? however, ive also learned that our testosterone decreases over time so it could also result in less dht
  7. we naturally block dht? i heard someone else say that but haven’t found studies to support it, how does that work?
  8. that makes sense tbh, i could see ppl stopping bc of a shed and saying it ruined their hair
  9. ive been on the subreddit tressless for awhile and ive seen lot’s of reports of people saying dutasteride caused them to recede faster along the hairline, or it “nuked” their hairline, etc. logically and based off the mechanism of the drug it doesn’t make sense. yet ive seen so much reports on it. specifically, i want to add dutasteride 0.5mg 1-2 times a week, and finasteride 1mg the other days. (a couple years from now as i just started fin, which also depends on the results i get, however i just wanted to research it now.) what’s your thoughts on this?
  10. thanks! thatd be a good idea. id like to know what he thinks, however, ill do it after ive gotten full results from medication
  11. my entire life ive hated my hairline, its really just self-confidence, and of course other things like ladies etc, but mainly me just being comfortable with things like swimming, the wind, etc. but your right, on my previous posts ive decided to wait awhile anyways
  12. i was not advised which i know may seem dumb but i’ve done my research and if you look on my profile, you can see my hairline which shows hairloss. i work in healthcare and have seen various people on medications with side effects much worse than finasteride, i think it is worth the risk as my hair is important to me. i believe i hit puberty very early (11-13) and by 13 my hairline is as it is now. so i hope that as far as development i should be ok, but who knows, either way, i’m okay with the potential side effects. also, thank you for answering my question!!
  13. thanks for this response! yeah thats exactly it. if you look on my profile you can see my hairline. minoxidil has helped regrow small baby hairs and thicken in general and i just started fin to stop the further loss
  14. im currently using minoxidil 5% minoxidil foam twice a day along with topical fin once a day. i included a pic of what my hair looks like after 3 sessions of hair products (min/fin) i usually wash before the 4th session. how it works is i wash my hair the next night, then the other day, the next night, the other day. anyways, i just wanted to make sure my hair follicles are like notgetting too greasy and clogged? or whatever and its negatively impacting my hair
  15. i know, i was just ensuring he’s a good transplant doctor to go to in the future however, im curious, you still think the blue line is too agressive?
  16. is Dr. Gabel in Tigard, Oregon good? he has positive reviews and with the online consultation with him he seems very knowledgeable. his website: https://www.gabelcenter.com/ would you recommend him? it would be my first transplant, i included my hairline for example of what i want (blue line) along with donor area.
  17. unlucky fr. im the only one in my family to have had hairloss so early, luckily it hasn’t progressed much tho and it’s thick enough to hide. my oldest brother 36 y/o still has a full head of hair no meds/transplants etc, if i could achieve his hairline thru transplants / meds or whatever id be happy
  18. id rather not go to another country, i could afford that but id prefer not to, in the next couple years as i use fin ill do research on it and come to the best decision
  19. oh i thought bosley was good. but yeah there is someone better i think as ive seen him recommended on here a few times. his name is Dr. Gabel in Tigard Oregon. have you heard of him?
  20. hm.. i understand. tbh i was thinking it would be simple. get a transplant to make my hairline somewhat straight, continue meds, and get future transplants to maintain if needed
