Hey everyone, 5.5 post ht. For the past 1 month i started picking excessive toppik that i had put on my hairline. I did it in a ‘pulling’ motion, and sometimes i think i accidentally pulled hairs with my fingers.
I’m afraid of traction alopecia.. do you think it will grow back?
-
I'm thinking about buying one and using it "just in case" I see too much toppik close to hair-line. Anyone has an experience maybe? thanks!

A friend told me he thinks HT @ crown area requires much less skill then mid scalp and specifically hairline.
Do you agree/partialy agree?

Some of it looks like crusts…surely you have removed them by now?
ofcourse
I'm 5 months OP..

how common are things like this? it happens in around 50% of surgeries? 30%..?
My surgeon checked my scalp and said it's 'very healthy' (high elasticity) and good donor area, so he tried to dense-pack (I had almost 3000 grafts on a rather small area, as can be seen in the first image).
-
while I feel I have good density, when I comb up/back my hair - when looking from "down"/inferior - it still seems like my hairline sticks too much. Any ideas how to deal with it? I've had my HT 5 months ago

Seems like a major improvement between 5 and 6.5, no?
i am currently at 5 months and knowing there’s going to be an improvement will make me very happy..

Thanks 😊
Yes, it looks good from the front. Not using fibers yet, as I don’t want to apply it daily so soon after the HT.5 months is too soon to use fibers???
-
this is MASSIVE improvement!
also you have enviable hair characteristics
and I'm sure it's looking much better from frontal view.
do you use dermmatch/fibers? I think you could rock with it!

Any improvement mate?
Hi this specific area still lacks some density, and I'm not sure if there has been minor growth or non at all.
However, this is me 1 week ago, and as you can see there's good growth
worst case scenario - I'll fux these areas in my next HT for the crown

Damp->Dermmatch->clay->toppik (with some gray to make it look less monochromatic!)->volumizer (holds everything together)

Hi mate,
I normally like Bicer's work and you've had pretty decent growth, but I have to say I'm very surprised to see how many double graft hairs are all over the hairline. I don't want to be alarming or cause you any stress but to me this isn't very good hairline work at all. It lacks the softness we expect from good Dr's, and as someone who has recommended Bicer on this forum several times, I find this image below quite worrying. I also don't like the way the temple corners meet the temple points.
How do you feel about it?
EDIT: the doubles I've highlighted below are the most visibly obvious. I can see plenty of others in the rows right behind as well that appear to be doubles but I can't say for sure. I'm seeing the same thing in your picture on the other side of the hairline, too.
This is a bit surprising coming from bicer..
Still nice growth🙏

No grafts were planted in that area you circled in yellow.
Not sure why others told you they just had shed already. That was 1 week post op. You can clearly see in scalp where grafts were implanted and where they were not.
the photo in the first post? it's not 1 week post op, it is 1 month post op..
this is the 2 days post op:

This is a quote of Dr. Lorenzo.
While this sounds so logical, I think it's not discussed/mentioned enough.
I feel like if you have a hematoma (even a small 1X1 centimeter, or simply 30-40 grafts which have a lot of blood/clot around them) - it looks to me like in majority of cases you can kiss those follicles goodbye 🤕

If a hematoma develops, it can affect graft survival in the affected area and a free touch up may be necessary.
this is very important, and not mentioned enough I think. I've had my HT 4 months ago, and I have one area which was heavily bruised and crasted, and I'm not sure any follicles are going to sprout in it.

Is it reversible?

"Traction alopecia needs constant pulling" - sounds logical, yes. Thanks you.
About the toppik usage - I still need it to improve a bit posterior to hairline. I usually comb my hair up and this is worst for density and scalp coverage.
I'm 5.5 post HT, so I hope density along hairline continues to improve (?), maybe hair caliber will increase and maybe some more hair will pop out (?).
