    You just can’t help yourself.

I cant help myself from doing valid criticism to the results I see.

You cant help yourself from commenting "excellent result" or "natural result" in every single result this clinic posts like a paid advertiser or try to defend them like you are their lawyer.

Eugenix isn’t on the list, it’s only Dr. Sethi and Dr. Bansal. This surgery was done by Dr. Das, she isn’t and hasn’t ever been on our list. We don’t recommend clinics, we recommend surgeons. I don’t believe there is a failure in yield.

I think the plan to distribute such a small number of grafts over a large area was not a good plan. No matter who the surgeon is, that number of grafts primarily from BHT would yield the same result, when distributed over a Norwood 7 area. It’s simple mathematics as I stated earlier in the thread.

But if you do the math, that area was probably 200-250 cm2. You need at least 45 grafts per cm2 to get “illusion” of density. That means you would need 9,000-11,250 grafts in that area to get an “illusion” of density. It would still look thin with short hair, even with those numbers. You need to grow it out a lot more than you have. It looks like its less than an inch on top. You need at least 3 inches to start layering. Also, looks like 1,100 grafts are beard grafts, which means its single hair grafts. You didn’t have a lot of hair placed in that area.”

That said, we haven’t seen a recent update in months. Things may have improved. I will wait to make further judgments until an update is presented.

45 grafts per cm is for the hairline, in the mid and crown many reputable doctors implant even 30 grafts per cm and with the right lenght and styling the hair looks great. The result for this amount of grafts , even though it wouldnt provide full coverage, is extremely subpar and is one more example of why everyone should avoid Dr Das (thanks for letting me know it was her because I thought it was Dr Sethi). Lets hope that the situation has improved for the patient

Ok guys, so the news is that i shaved completely bald 😁

Do not treat this as part of "just shave it bro" movement though. I lost the battle, but the war continues. Of course i am still on medication and there will be second HT in some time.

So why i did i do that? To be honest, i was just tired of this strategy "just comb your transplanted hair back". Basically, it required my constant attention, using hair products like seasalt spray, gels, pomades, fibers, hairsprays, wearing headbands and there were always some flaws and the wind was the enemy and physical activities were the enemy. It was really exausting. My life before HT was easier 🙃

Then i decided to cut frontal hair shorter and see how it looks

    409629582_735391008640812_9195188790850318961_n.thumb.jpg.840a5dc3d3485054104b6b5490b9a718.jpg411551123_376532154848597_8055660815656031187_n.thumb.jpg.9ea8f6107615adec90479d4cc6a73f1b.jpg411553474_731459998506078_6479222956805061593_n.thumb.jpg.5b3885c20456aa32726410eb0c4fc905.jpg

Unfortunately, not treating lateral humps area is pain in the ass and with shorter haircut combed forward, it looks like i wear a wig for the frontal third only :D

So i decided to shave bald to not care so much about my hair for now. And i must say that i feel good about it. It is liberating.

And of course, if you look at the pictures after i shaved, the frontal third looks darker, the sides look darker and midscalp and crown look completely bald. Because as you may remember, i am Norwood 6 ;)

So i figured out, that i would be good candidate for SMP after all and it doesn't matter that i have blonde hair.

PS. I decided that i am back to weekly microneedling (dermapen 1,5mm) + topical minoxidil 5%. Oral minoxidil didn't impress me, so i am back to the treatment that in 2021 i used for bald scalp too and it had best effect for me.

brooo shaved look seems really fiting for you as you have a hairline now, did you shave with clippers or razor?

You are right but you didnt clarify this before. I am just giving to OP some reccomendations and starting points to do his research. Do you disagree that couto, hattingen, maras, pinto age doing good crown work? Who is your preference for crown work then?

I think they are good Drs overall, I dont know if they have extra good skills on the crown particularly, I myself struggle to find good crown work results posted as well.

Hey Forum, I’m looking for input ahead of my January 6th HT surgery with Dr. Yaman. I’m getting the pre surgery jitters and would love to hear some input from this community. The things that are causing me the most concern are 1) Did I choose the correct Dr 2) Creating a NATURAL hairline 3) Overharvesting the donor area. Below is a quick blurb on my background & my decision process. Any guidance / insight would be greatly appreciated!

    My Background:
Im a 30 year old guy from the USA who’s been loosing my hair for the last 5ish years. I’ve been on Finasteride and Minoxidil for the last 1.5 - 2 years. The medication has significantly stopped the hair loss and seemed to regrow a bit. As you can see from my photos below, my hairline has fallen back a good amount, especially in the peaks (I’m getting that count Dracula look), I also have hair loss at my crown.
With my family having baldness on both sides I am destined to have that medieval friar look bestowed upon me, because of this, I started looking into my options. My hair use to be a bit longer, but I have since moved to the buzz cut due to me not liking how wispy and thin it was looking at a certain length. I’m hoping with this surgery I can reinforce my hairline, fill in the peaks, and add density throughout, with the ultimate goal  being to grow my hair back to a short / medium length.

    My Decision:
I reached out to all the recommended Drs in Turkey that I read on the blogs...Pekiner, HLC, Bicer, and Keser were mostly out of budget. Out of the remaining group of Yaman, Turan, Gur I decided to go with Yaman (based on photos i’d seen and positive recent stories). Though I saw complains about his assistants preforming a decent amount of the work, as long as the DR was doing the important parts (hairline design / making the incisions) and the end result was a success, then it didn’t bother me that the assistants would be doing a portion of the work. I could be in the minority with my line of thinking on this, but I wouldn’t  expect a USA doctor to do the whole procedure themselves and I also don’t think that this surgery is horribly complex. Any-whom, that was my thought process and now i’m scheduled for Jan 6th.

    1) Dr. Yaman - I’m not sure if it’s my laissez-faire attitude or trying to fight through all the misinformation im reading on the internet, but i’m getting the pre surgery jitters. I’ve seen a lot of comments on various boards about Yaman having “bad results recently” and I’m not sure if this is just some fake echo chamber talk or real! I’m looking for some REAL advice on what people think of Yaman? And is there a difference in his work and the others in his same class (Turan / Gur)? Would you feel comfortable with a surgery handled by him?
    2) Creating a NATURAL hairline - You know when you analyze something so much that you kinda don’t even know what looks good or bad anymore, thats where i’m at right now. A top priority of mine is to have something that looks natural and not so 90 degree sharp. I’m afraid i’ll get to the appointment, and it all goes so fast, and then i’m completely at the mercy of the doctor. Im 30 years old and don’t want to lower my hairline (i’m fine with showing some age), i just want to reinforce the hairline and fill in the dramatic “Dracula” peaks...Any advise on how to design a hairline? or what you’d recommend for me?
    3) Overharvesting - Many of the complaints I saw in the forums about many Turkish doctors was the threat of overharvesting. To protect against this fear, I decided to come up with my own number of grafts I felt comfortable with, that would then help negate this overharvesting being a problem.
Most of the American resources and studies I saw to told me that they wouldn’t recommend a HT with over 2,500 in a sitting. While realizing that western doctors are quite conservative in most things, I was thinking about setting my own limit to 3,000 grafts.... Upon initial consultation via WhatsApp, Dr. Yaman recommended 4,000 grafts. I’ve see lots of people getting 4,000+ transplants online and I know a lot of this depends on my donor area (from my non-educated opinion I think my donor area is quite healthy and thick with no thinning above the ears)... but i’m curious if 4,000 Is too many for one go? How should I best protect myself from an overharvest?

Thanks so much to anyone who is willing to provide some advice! I’m planning on documenting my experience and growth to help giveback to this community!

I think they have dr Sethi and dr bansal on the list because they are the founders of the clinic, which doesn’t mean that the other doctors of this clinic are not recommended.

    Look at these

    Botched

    Botched

They left empty patches on this guys' head

Operated on a 26 year old guy with perfect hair and gave him a sparse hairline with doubles and triples

Operated on a 21 year old

    And many more....

Eugenix clinic in general is recommended not the specific doctors. This clinic is very good in high Norwood cases as they extract large number of grafts and they can give better coverage.
Also many good doctors are not in the recommended list, so what does that mean ?
anyway both are good options so it’s up to you.

The fact that they are recommended by the forum doesnt mean anything, look at how many people they have botched
