They have turned into an hair mill since you had yours DEB, you should do your temple points at one of many far better and equally priced options in either turkey or europe...

This thread should be locked as it is very old and in no way reflects ASMEDs current quality.

Also curious about the sudden resurgence of ASMED on this forum from old patients and coordinators..

The recent result from patients are quite bad though which speaks for itself.

in a way, this forum is operated with sponsors true, but as far as i know it, the forum relies on the sponsors to take care of their own reputation and standards. at least, it's still better than places where it's simply just marketing without any control on their standard and ethic. there is also defensiveness toward their recommendation, but at least it's not as heavy handed as most other forums are. 

i understand you are skeptical since they seem to be heavily biased for their docs, and very much against where you went. but you do have to realise that ASMED's work while isn't as harrowing as 50-50 chance that people make it out to be, and the 99% of clinic in turkey are hair mills, these overexaggeration aren't based on nothing.

just go through the search function and you can see how many people are scarred from asmed's work, not to mention the amount of marketing that asmed does, including asking their patients to post or having deals for that, which i am not privy to. 

to be honest, i almost went to cosmedica or asmed. upon further research then i found the many sketchy cases, which then led me to find this forum among many. this forum isn't where i started my research, but a lot of my information i received here, just because this is where i can find them in numbers and that i find many are credible. you just have to shift through the data and then see it objectively.

that said, i do hope that your HT grows well. nobody should or deserve to have bad work on them, whether they're trying to save money, or being ignorant and not doing any research. everyone here is suffering from the same problem and hopefully will manage to solve it.

You were so lucky and smart to stay clear.., I found this forum just when the ASMED hype was high and was fooled into selecting them... I wish every day, every minute and every single second of my life that I had done a little more research... you only have one donor, and one life, if you have a failed transplant, you are setting yourself up for a lifetime of fibers, weird hairstyles, constantly worrying about your hair, feeling ugly and depressed.. it affects all facets of your life... this is why I try to help people stay clear of hair mills like ASMED, even years ago when I did my transplant there were  better and safer options than ASMED.. today it is pure madness choosing them.. insanity ..

It is absolutely stupid to go to a hair mill like ASMED when there are FAR better and safer options at the same price point, makes 0 sense matey

Interesting how these threads about ASMED are popping up now as well ASMED coordinators posting at the same time, to anyone considering this clinic, there are FAR better, safer and cheaper options even in Turkey, ASMED is not even top 20 any longer in any category, PM me for and I will give you a list of clinics, do not go here and play casino with your life

There is a big following because Eugenix consistently pump out fantastic results, ASMED botched so many patients it should be criminal, they are awful even by hair mill standards.. in any case, hope you have more luck than me mate, Koray Erdogan ruined my life for chump change, I would pay 10x more to get my grafts back that he flushed down the toilet.. it was the worst decision in my life and the repercussions have been horrible..

Check the Spanish forums, he probably has the most patient posted results out of them all, and they are pretty much all knockouts, his temple points are some of the best I've seen in terms of softness other than Konior

What's done is done mate, try to stay positive, ASMED is like playing Russian roulette but there are still some decent results coming out of that clinic, we are simply trying to warn future guys as there are FAR safer options even in Turkey and Europe around the same price range.. but like I said, it's done now so try to stay positive and whatever happens, never return to that clinic, and don't let Koray Erdogan ir ASMED convince you anything is somehow your fault

Thank you @John1991, no worries, I am open to every constructive conversation and I really understand the fact that I'm not a bad looking bald. But I've been thinking. about a hair transplant since 7 years now (forgetting about it for a while since I was too young and not a "suitable" candidate).

Today I know a bit what to expect, what can be done and who I can trust to give me the best chance of success. I'm amazed with what eugenix are able to do with BHT, considering I have seen some other surgeon doing it and not getting such good result. 

I even showed @Zoomster's result to some of my friends without telling them BHT was part of the process, they didn't notify BHT was done and were shocked/amazed with his result. 

My whatsapp call with Eugenix is gonna be tomorrow at 9.30 (PST), it was a bit hard to find a good time to schedule a call since eugenix is in India and I'm in Los Angeles area.

@Amandeep(I guess it is the same person) has been my point of contact and has been able to make everything work well so far.

I will let you know what comes out of our appointment tomorrow.

You really should consider the bald look for a few years mate before doing anyting, i know this is tough to swallow for a young guy but doing a HT with your starting point and age is nowhere near where Zoomer was. His donor was great and his hair loss had stabilised due to his high age. Your donor is prone to further miniaturisation since you are so young and your hair loss is so aggressive and there is no telling if those transplanted hair will survive in the long term.. do not think you can simply shave it off later, for most people the FUE scars are very visible and unsightly, even doing SMP into the scars has its issues.. I feel you are potentially leading yourself down a long and mentally, physical and financially draining path... you look very handsome with the shaved look for what it's worth

In that case erase ASMED or any other hair mill from your mind and check out Bruno Pinto or Ferreira in portugal, their prices are actually not that much higher and you are more or less guaranteed a great result from either of them.

Zero survival. 5000 grafts wasted. 

And instead of offering a refund or at least a free touch-up (which should be unwise to accept of course bcuz they would destroy even more grafts..), Koray requested more money for a 2nd surgery....🤦‍♀️

Their ethics are terrible. 

But like you said, the good news is their reputation has become very bad now on most hairloss forums and Koray was busted. 

They have many bad results on the international hairloss forum too (the french forum). 

I agree that ASMED is by far the worst clinic in the 2.5€ price range...

And the very toughest pill to swallow, Koray Erdogan took our very best grafts and flushed them down the toilet, the 3's, 4's and 5's.. and he scarred the recipient and compromised the blood flow so any future transplants will likely be sub par.. all in the name of greed, ruining lives for 💰 

I would also advise everyone to be cautious as ASMEDs social media teams are working overtime to get them back into peoples good graces, not saying OP is shady but a completely new account giving a detailed report 4 years after the fact... This clinic is getting blasted on pretty much every forum now as they consistently produce failed transplants, overharvested donors, poor hairline designs.. again, there are FAR better options both in Turkey and Spain at this price point, do not ruin your life by going to a hair mill guys.

You were lucky and got it when ASMED was on top, it was roughly 4 years ago this clinic became a hair mill money grab and started producing really bad results, I am unfortunately one of them and would advise anyone to stay well clear of this overpriced hair mill. There are far better and even cheaper options even in Turkey let alone in spain and portugal, ASMED is not even in the top 10 any longer even In Turkey when considering price vs result.

Mate, its all relative, some of us are sitting here with life altering botch jobs and you have the hair of dreams.. you were smart enough to pick one of the best surgeons with the highest success rates in the world right now so take pride in that.. if you want to do this scientifically you can cut a 1 cm square in a piece of paper and hold it over the thinner areas to see what the density is and you will know roughly how many more grafts per square cm you will need.. but in my opinion we tend to hyperfocus on the details, most people will only see a brutal hairline and density when they see you in real life

Calling this an aesthetically unpleasing result is insanity.. and then comparing it to an erdogan case, if that guy posted higher res pics you would have seen how pluggy his hairline looks due to the multi grafts in the first two lines.. you are comparing a natural, well designed and well planned hair line from bruno ferreira to a hair mill, you have lost the plot mate.. your result is absolutely amazing in my opinion, the design, the naturalness of it, clearly it has added more volume and framed your face much more than pre op

Do not take any risks, I would really look into Bruno Pinto if I were you.. you can see his cases in the Spanish forums, many of them are repairs from turkish hair mills.. unfortunately growth will be worse because the area is now scarred which leads to lower blood flow.. so the result you should get for 4000 grafts will now take a total of 7000-8000 grafts probably.. this is the reality we have to live with now after going through ASMED and the hands of Koray Erdogan

Western Europe, will not share more than that, it was ruinous for my personal life as they send physical letters to your mailbox and not email, probably as a tactic so that your partner will also be involved and feel threatened.. as I said, one of the most unethical clinics in existence but money talks, this forum is not bought but I feel the name should be banned as patients have been threatened.. not that it matters, Koray is not coming back here he has his hunting grounds on the Italian and Turkish forums that have been bought, and youtube ofcourse

This looks to be a successful transplant. You stopped finasteride which was keeping the heavily minitiarized few hours at the top of your head, those native hairs are gone and now the transplanted hairs are there alone covering your head, of course the density isn’t there. 5000 grafts are covering your whole head which without the HT would be completely bald and appears to be.

In your case, I think all the follicles grew because you would’ve a bald spot somewhere which you don’t. You don’t have density because you don’t have native hairs anymore. 

You haven’t shown your donor which probably means it isn’t butchered and completely fine. And you say you have more hair in the bank after 5k grafts!!. What more could you want from a HT? A little toppik and you wouldn’t even need another HT especially since you’re not even on meds. 

I am sorry but yes, you will get blamed if you don’t take finasteride or minoxidil especially when the miniaturisation is so obvious and barely any native hairs left to cover bald spot. I am a nw6ish and still take fin holding on to few hairs that have not made my hair completely shiny and allow toppik use. If I stop I will probably get worse where a HT will not just look as good but with the few native hairs, I can even appear to have density. Yes, even a few hairs can make a huge difference.

All that said, seems like asmed isn’t getting good reviews lately but this? this is a good job and to say otherwise just won’t be honest. Indeed some of the posters are just weird who are recommending not even going to Turkey which is absurd. 
 

Check out Melvin stickied thread. There are people who get 9k/10k grafts and still see through. Are they failed transplants? Absolutely not. 
 

If you were on fin or minox and still had this result then yes it would be bad. Just look at your preop, fin and min are struggling to keep them alive 😂 

I guess this is why some top HT docs are so selective with patients they take and dismiss high norwoods because the expectations are unrealistic. 
 

 

If you have knowledge of hair transplants at respectable clinics like Pinto, Ferreira, Konoir, DeFreitas, Eugenix, Bisanga, Couto, and even Turkish clinics like Bicer, HLC etc, then you would know what 5000 grafts looks like, this is not it. Even their donor management is bad now, mine is patchy after only 3k grafts, I did a consultation with another doctor who said they extracted grafts too close in clusters...

ASMED will threaten to sue if patients post bad images and videos, especially videos on youtube. 

Their main marketing platform is youtube, so try to post your bad result there and see how fast you get threats from lawyers sent to your home mail box for your wife and kids to find 

As another poster said they abandoned the other forums, this is because they can't buy the admins to remove bad result

This guy acts like the mafia to protect his money, I hope you are never on the receiving end, Koray and Asmed is not in the top 20 you should even be considering if you want a transplant, do not play with your life you might ruin it
