What was his proposal? Hairline too high? You didn’t trust his judgement?

Temple corners brought in.  They didn’t want to.

Others top tier docs I consulted with said I was a good candidate for that.

coincidentally, one of the best temple corner and point results I’ve seen was from Pinto and what I wanted replicated.

I looked at the 'comparative' photos.  Ya'll that love 'wall of hair' hairlines are satisfied w/this surgeon's work.  Fine - I was just thinking of longer-term results & prefer hairlines w/more single-follicular units & a WIDER zone of finer-single-haired follicles before putting thicker 2-3-4 haired units behind & blending a bit more artistically.

To my eyes his hairlines look very similar for all his patients vs a more 'boutique' style surgeon who really takes the time & artistry to give very individualistic & unique hairlines across all hairloss/head shape types etc...

I'm sure he gets all the patients he needs so it's always good to look at a wide body of work so all of us can really drill down & pick a surgeon that fits our personal aesthetics as well.

    Cheers!

Which docs hairlines and temples do you prefer?

Hello Calihome1! I'm curious if you made a choice yet? I'm in a similiar situation and would love to hear your thoughts! :)

    I didn’t.

Pinto was too conservative on what I wanted and while Ferreira was more in line, around the same time I saw a not so satisfactory temple result from him.

     So I held off

    Thank you @Gatsby and @Calihome1!

@Calihome1 good question on the temples. For what it’s worth, it appeared before my shed that the grafts added to my temple were a little finer than in other areas but I’m not sure how that would have been accomplished with FUT

Wasn’t familiar with the hair splitting technique @jjalay was referencing, but if they did that and it gives me a natural look I’ll be happy!

My main reason for FUT was to maximize my future potential donor area as I have some crown thinning and may need a future procedure to fill in my crown (although I’m seeing some good progress from meds alone thus far).

I would choose Konior in a heartbeat if it wasn’t for price.  His designs are beautiful and gets so much density from limited grafts it’s amazing.  You’ll look 10-15 years younger 😁

You are wrong about this fue myth. With fut you also take graft from the sides and if the clinic know how to do this right they are able to split grafts to create more soft single grafts for the temples and the hairline.

I don’t think it’s a myth as many top docs have stated they utilize certain areas via fue for grafts going into temples.  Nape, behind ears, etc….
