  1. Upadate after nearly 8.5 months. I have been with job and been going through some rough times personally so haven't updated for a long time. But nevertheless do let me know your thoughts. I am upgrading my stack as well with 1mm Microneedling each 2 weeks and nizoral twice a week to improve my results over the course of next 6 months or so. I am thankful to this community in helping recover my hair to a point i never thought i would come to.

  2. @New_Barnet_Please Do take consultation with a good doctor and move forward with the regime he suggests. Also in none of my replies i mentioned about side effects. I made a point regarding echo and ECG because the drug is mainly used for hypertension which in turns affects your heart health. That's all. In no way i am trying to say that oral Minoxidil will cause harm in everyone. It's a choice of the pateint at the end of the day.

  3. @New_Barnet_PleaseI gave a suggestion. There is nothing wrong with doing echo and ECG just to be safe. 5mg Oral minoxidil is a drug for Hypertension. Moreover oral Minoxidil is yet to be FDA approved. Now in no way i am saying don't use it. All i am trying to say is use it with caution. That's all. If it is working for you nobody is stopping you from taking it. Good luck.

  4. Oral Minoxidil is not a replacement to Oral Finasteride or dutasteride. The drug is for hypertension. Yes it does work in hair regrowth but that's should not force you to use it. Use the topical Minoxidil first for 6months and then if you don't see any positive response. Consult a Cardiologist get you echo and ECG done and if everything comes fine go for oral Minoxidil. At the same time get your echo and ECG done every month to check your heart and your overall health. That would be my suggestion for anyone considering oral Minoxidil.

  5. Doubles and triples are found in the hairline because doctors aren't diligent. All HT surgeons know that hairline is only singles ,there might be some doubles but very few. But while doing a HT they tend to put density over naturalness which in turn result in doubles or triples in the hairline. Also magnification too.

Now few doubles will not necessarily look bad but if the hairline is filled with doubles and triples it will give a very artificial and pluggy appearance.

  6. You should try to use medications first and then go for transplant. Medications in most cases work and can definitely lower your graft count. This in turn saves you grafts and gives you chances to do more surgeries if you ever decide to get of off medications. Try finasteride and topical Minoxidil for atleast 6-8 months then go for a HT. In your case i think depending on the density you want you would need near about 2000 Grafts but that could reduce if medications work well for you. Cheers.
