  1. If you have enough donor & money for future procedures then no, you don't need medication.
  2. I think they can get thinner a bit but they will never fall off. if you use finasteride just for donor, maybe some hair will thicken up
  3. @DrMunibAhmad can patients get away with medication when choosing conservative hairline like on this patient, or maybe just minoxidil to maintain the crown?
  4. I also had a surgery like FUT scar size but on my back and never had to take any antibiotics. So I am wondering why is it needed for FUE procedure that much? Also a Dr told me that FUE is not really invasive
  5. I was reading on this article https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15988072/ and they claim prescription of antibiotics after hair transplantation is unnecessary if the clinic follows strict adherence to the aseptic rules. What are your thoughts? Do all dr's prescribe it? I've seen that all turkish clinics do it.
  6. I've watched one material about ht and the person said it's better to get 2x 2000 FUE procedures split between years instead doing 1 session with 4000 grafts because it will cause lot less scarring, is this really the case? At the end we will have extracted 4000 grafts, but how come it can cause less scarring if splitted?
  7. You literally proposed finasteride to someone who has almost 0 hair on his mid scalp. Even Dr like Bicer says to her patients that its pointless at this point. OP get HT and think about oral minoxidil
  8. I was thinking of getting a ht but leaving out the crown completely, even if it completely thins out. People say the front is the most important because thats where people see you. Is that a good option? Especially for someone with limited donor? Will having a bald spot on the back of head affect my mentality?
  9. On my finasteride leaflet where they state side effects it says In rare cases breast cancer Once you get gyno there is possibility of developing male breast cancer, you will have to live with that thought for the rest of your life. You can literally die just because you want to save your hair. You will have to get breast ultrasounds every year. Because breast cancer can only develop when there is gyno and you just can't ignore that fact. This would be totally stressful. Yes, this is very rare, but can still happen.
  10. I noticed when washing my hair, whenever I pulled some hairs from the side at the red circle my hair are coming out, like 10 of them with white roots, literally every time I try to pull hair from there, not even having to use a lot of force. Why is this happening? Im nw3/4 and whenever I do this for my mid scalp or back of head maybe 1 hair will come out at max but I have to try hard. This is happening at both sides. Will this affect my entire donor?
  11. My dermatologist said it's 0 difference because it builds up in the blood as well, after some time it will have same amount as oral version
  12. I've noticed a player in Morocco national football team and done some research before and after: Wondering if this is done with smp or more of a hair transplant?
  13. I was consulting a hair surgeon and I told him im taking 1mg finasteride, he said that it's not enough and that I need to use supportive treatments such as laser therapy and special shampoos to stimulate the hair. How is that a thing? I thought that finasteride theraphy for long term is enough for maintenance of the hair.
  14. I've started it again 0.5mg everyday. Didn't notice any sides after 3 days. Maybe I had nocebo effect. Will update every 3 months with pics. Starting point:
  15. Don't use this sh*t.. there are not enough clinical trials on this, also I seen a guy on YT stating that RU caused him irreversible heart problems and he claims he is dying from it
  16. My doctor prescribed me finasteride, he says best way to take is 1mg every day and he says he takes it for 10 years that way as well. I was thinking of doing 0.5mg 3 times a week since the clinical tests show that 0.5mg is effective as well almost as 1mg. There are doctors on yt that claim 1mg a day is too much and 3 times is enough. So what in earth is correct dosage? I've received oral minoxidil 2mg prescription as well, they make it at my local pharmacy. Is this dosage normal for starting oral minox? I've heard people doing 1mg
  17. Did you have surgery before? Looks like you had a lot of existing scars
  18. For me it's a joke that technicians are able to inject local anasthetic into person scalp
  19. Some people claim that manual extraction leaves less scarring and less redness, and that after motorized technique back of the head looks butchered. Is that true? Is it better to consider manual type extraction surgery and pay more money?
  20. You wont lose any benefits after stopping finasteride, you will just continue losing hair at regular pace like before you started fin.
