  1. So I am considering to start finasteride + minoxidil, but I have no clue where to get it from. There is fueclinic Dr Mwamba, Xyonhealth, Keeps, hims etc, or maybe make it by my own, mix minoxidil with the tablets?

I do not know what exact dosage do I need and how often I need to take it, I also can't consult this with my local dermatologist since they only have clue about oral finasteride.

Should topical fin be applied on donor as well? Because you guys often talk, that donor can benefit before transplant.

Also, If I use fin and minoxidil for year, then stop it because of a surgery for like a month - will I lose all my gains? Especially from minoxidil, because I heard you have to apply it everyday

Could someone please advice me something on this topic?

  2. Many people say that you should be on finasteride before the surgery for at least some time because the donor will be stronger. What if someone doesnt use finasteride before and starts immediately after the hair transplant, can the hair that have been already transplanted still benefit from it? Like is there chance that they could thicken up? Or they are not affected by any medication since they are already transplanted from original place?

  3. Whenever I get dental work done, afterwards I get extreme headaches. One time it lasted two weeks and I had to check it with neurologist. I've tried asking dentist to give me different type of local anaesthesia and I didn't get a headache after the treatment. Could I be potentially allergic to one of the ingredients? Since hair transplants require like 20 injections of anaesthetic, could I die from it? Is there any testing for allergy from local anaesthic ingredients that can be done?

    Hi

Do you mind me asking why you consider Dr Bicer expensive at €2 per graft?  That seems low compared to other top surgeons.  Is it because you don’t consider her a top surgeon, or more that her clinic is based in Turkey?

    Regards

She used to be 1,5 per graft, changed this year to 2

  5. Can topical finasteride help me thicken up the middle in any way? Is the topical solution from Dr Mwamba safe? I've never ordered medication through internet. Whats the difference between topical dut mesoteraphy and topical dut?

Im adding some more pictures, almost 24 years old. Planning HT when I hit 25.

Is there point in starting minoxidil, if it's needed to stop before a surgery in future? Im afraid I will lose all my minoxidil gains if I stop using it for like 2-3 weeks.

You are in a great position to get on to meds, sure the hair loss is aggressive, but I think you would have some good regrowth (if not maintenance) if you throw Finasteride at it. You can also revaluate after a year and add Minoxidil to the regimen.

Im scared of nipple cancer from finasteride

Honestly, i would even argue it should NOT take a clinic giving preferential treatment where a review will be posted and viewed online to do good work.

If a clinic does this work if people aren't public or not posting reviews, they deserve to metaphorically burn to the ground imo. Let somebody more competent take their place.

    1. Is crown naturally thinner like this or it started to bald already? I've never kept track of it before and recently took pictures of it. Also on norwood scale what would I be?

Ans: Your crown is thinning. You are Grade III vertex.

    2. How many grafts would I need to restore the hairline?

Ans: You shall require 2500 to 2700 grafts for the restoration of your frontal zone.

    3. Is my donor area okay?

Ans: Your donor area is good.

    4. Is my hairloss aggressive? Age 23(almost 24)

Ans: That needs to be determined with reference to your family history of baldness etc.

You will have to take finasteride to prevent any further progression of baldness. If you do not take finasteride then new areas will get empty and you will have to go for another transplant in the newly empty areas.

How long do I need to be on finasteride to think about hairline restoration? Is finasteride alone enough? Minoxidil makes my scalp really itchy and white flakes are forming

Most guys, even ones with less aggressive loss than yours and that jump on finasteride, end up getting hair transplants to restore or at least thicken their frontal hairline areas. Those frontal hairs are usually the most vulnerable to what causes hair loss. Finasteride is more about helping to hang on to your middle and back crown areas in the back so you don't look ridiculous with a restored hairline and nothing behind it.

The general point with waiting when you are relatively very young, like your early 20s, is to see how aggressive your overall loss rate is and whether its going to lessen/stabilize on its own, or with some medication like finasteride. No ethical hairloss doctor is going to operate on a guy younger than about 25, who already has lost as much or more than alot of guys twice his age, and who won't take finasteride.

I see a lot of patients who are under 25 from doctors which are recommended on this site when I view their ig's/fb pages - how come? Also look at Machine Gun Kelly the famous rapper for example, he had his procedure done at 23 when he was norwood 3/4, now he is 31 and has full of hair, you telling me his doctor was not ethical as well?

I wanted just to get my hairline fixed, go on medication and around 30~ years of age go for another transplant
