  1. My trouble is I have one shot at this transplant as won’t have the donor for any top ups or correction so am intrigued in Melvins comments suggesting the clinic has narrowed down the issues some reported of leading to reduced density. Maybe specific technicians that didn’t work out? I’m confident in his experience but difficult to find out experience of the technicians themselves.
  2. Looks like you hd a nice result there big change! Crown as well, hard to get the density in there. Congrats mate and thanks for taking the time to reply. similr to you my hair starting to grey always looks better / thicker when dyed. would you say your happy then? Would you happily send your best mate there that’s always the tell! 😉 thanks dude
  3. Thanks Melvin that’s good to hear. What kind of thing could cause that ie what would he potentially change just out of interest. in my consultation it was confirmed sue to my previous transplants dr arshad would do all punching and cutting ie not shared with the other doctor (not saying he isn’t capable) which gave me more confidence. Also suggested not to alter my hair line design as is age appropriate from my previous ops, but preserve the grafts to strengthen existing where I’ve lost hair over the years. Which is probably sound advice.
  4. I’ve just had a consultation with this clinic. I have others lined up / contacted 3 well known in Belgium, Ball as well for uk. I see dr arshad made the recommended list and I see allot of good results but the odd few threads where he seems to be getting mixed feedback. is he still on the recco list? I’ve hd two previous transplants so this would be my last one realistically with grafts I have taken. looking for anyone who has had recent transplants with this dr to give honest review. Price isn’t my issue here but it’s so confusing when you do hours of research build confidence in that place then one thread puts you off! cant fault the discussion and recco I had and the ultra detailed info sent. Not looking to rush the decision as plan to speak with the others first if I can. thanks
  5. Thanks mate it’s good to get another eye on it that isn’t me that looks at it every single day! Ha currently waiting on a a few consultations so hopefully they will be happy to treat me as I can’t see that many examples over 6k grafts (that aren’t used as bad examples anyway)
  6. This was 6 months post second opp crown so you can see I continued to lose hair leaving me what I have now. Crown placement from memory was low density which I guess is what I’m left with as there was a big area covered. to be clear the below is 9 years ago but just so you can see the transplant was successful
  7. This is my donor 10 years after 6k FUE the buzz is 9mm. I have video of my donor combing through but not sure how to load it
  8. These are today ten years on prob no native scalp hair left wet hair I marked where I plan to tweak hair line with my third opp
  9. Hi guys I wanted to share my hair loss story, one to get involved in the community but two, to potentially help others with theirs. i am now 37. I started to loose my hair from probably 22 my dad was completely bald on top by 34. I wasn’t taking any meds (probably a mistake) at the time. by 27 I took the plunge and had 3k grafts into the hairline and front area. Followed a year later with another 3k in the other areas. You can see the placements of the second opp in my pics. I don’t have the first opp ones to hand hit will try dig them out. I was advised to take fin which I did for a bit but panicked a bit when I thought I had some sides and stopped. you can see from my pre opp situation I had lost almost all the front and was losing hair rapidly. So I know that probably by the time I turned thirty I would have lost most and by 35 all of it as I was following my dads loss to the letter. not being on meds I would say everything I have on my head now is transplanted hair. I was very aware of the fact realistically i would never get a full head of hair from this but a good illusion if styled right, the layering effect etc. so part of the reason for posting is to show you what it looks like now ten years post opp as I am about to undergo a third opp (well I hd once cancelled on Monday with the same clinic as the dr has changed and technicians who did my opp before were switched last minute, so I lost confidence and cancelled) My donor is still pretty strong especially grown out. I am now trying to book consultations in order to have this final transplant into the crown and a little to amend the hair line. I’m hoping for 1500-2000 grafts. anyway take a look let me know what you think and what you think of my donor. I don’t need to shave short so I don’t mind a thinner donor tbh. im not saying this was the best transplant but bare in mind all my ore opp hair ten years ago is likely not there now (you can see my pic from 6 months post second opp much more hair) BUT I think I have a pretty good result. I plan to have this final procedure (which I know won’t fill the crown likely with grafts available) then have some smp to add density to everywhere including maybe the donor in case I want to buzz down. Sometimes I buzz the donor now to 9mm (no3) with no issue. it’s worth noting I have very fine hair not lovely thick hair some are blessed with! Anyway hope this helps especially with long term expectations etc. I won’t name the clinic as as I have found out the staff changes means they are not who I had previously so can’t safely recommend them now. before any treatment 10 years ago aged 27 Immediately post second opp 3k allot of area covered there Donor post second opp. Now pics coming up
  10. god I don’t even remember tbh was trying to find my old posts but no luck I’ll try dig out some old pics
  11. Wow ok thanks for your help mate very kind. Do you mind me asking who you used if you have? Thanks you
  12. Great thanks for the quick reply. I have waited two years due to Covid so to have to cancel now is pretty heart breaking! lots of names there to consider all seem reputable with good track records? as difficult to know how to compare / decide? would I need to attend In person for assessment as like I say I had been assessed remotely suggesting 1500-2000 would be possible. I also intend to prob add some smp for density once this last procedure has grown. what are the wait times these days would people say? Over a year? thanks
  13. He everyone this is my first post for 10 years! I hd 2 successful fue procedures with quite a well known Belgium clinic in 2012 around 3k front and then same for the rest. I was on meds to begin with but had sides so haven’t been for years. So I’d say all my hair on my head is transplanted hair. I am 37. I was about to have a third and final procedure to add 1500 grafts to crown and prob 500 to tweak the hair line on Monday. However at the last minute, well a few weeks, I have learnt the physician has changed and one of the two technicians. So I have now cancelled this procedure as I am not confident in going under the knife with people I can not find any real results or cases of. This may sound rash but for something so important I need to be confident in those doing it. So I am here asking for help in recommending an FUE clinic. I am considering Mwamba Belgium, Feriduni Belgium, Greg Vida London but only from what I have read recently so there may be others I am not listing obviously. i am based in the Uk and looking for trustworthy clinics that care about the patients and are actively involved in the procedure. thanks so much this is a nightmare situation as I was all ready and siked up for it but I just could t go through with it without being confident in those doing it. thanks everyone
