  1. yea i feel like nothing i take has any impact. im doing fin, minox (oral), and biotin. i never heard about taking the others you are on. i dont smoke or drink alcohol. but i do have a lot of stress as a business owner.
  2. what is your daily pill regimen? are you taking minoxidil, finasteride, biotin, if so, how much? anything else? im 1 year post op with dr nader and taking daily 0.5mg fin, 2.5 mg minox, and several biotin vitamins. my hair seems thin and falling out constantly....
  3. update as of 4/5/23. what do you guys think? i feel like its kinda thin in the back, im hoping after a few more months it gets even more thick....
  4. keep trying, you will get a response eventually.
  5. would love to hear from others who have had hair surgeries. how am i progressing? i know i should not expect all that much by month 3 but hoping to learn how i compare to others who have hair FUE hair surgeries.
  6. ya ill continue to make a monthly video. honestly i look better now than before the surgery even tho i am in the ugly duckling phase
  7. im about 5-6 weeks out right now and i look better than before the surgery. honestly its only the first 2 weeks where you look a little strange. after that you look normal and dont even need a hat IMO. altho, i do wear a hat to protect my head from the sun, dr nader simply told me to not wear a tight hat that can damage follicles.
  8. i think he put some there, but very few. he focused on the corners. id have to watch my videos again to see if he added some there.
  9. yea dont worry about that at all. the first couple times you shower u just very lightly touch the area with your fingers. its super easy if you just follow the instructions doctor nader gives you.
  10. 1. the techs have been trained to focus 100% on their work. there is almost no talking. if there is talking, its a whisper. 99% of your communication is verbally with doctor nader who is with you the entire day. the staff seems to all speak broken english. nader is fluent in english. 2. yes. i was able to pick it up at a wal mart in mcallen. i have 3 refills on the bottle, so i can bring the bottle anywhere for more refills. the pharmacies in mcallen are so close to mexico dr nader said they accept mexican prescriptions. altho the first wal mart i went to wouldnt fill it. i went to one suggested by the doctor and had no issues there. 3. im 38, started balding around 30. i think i started receding and crown balding a the same time. my 30s were filled with tons of stress growing a tech company so thats probably a bit of the culprit. 4. according to the doctor, the crown is a BLACK HOLE for grafts. it takes the vast majority of the grafts. although, i didnt get an exact number i can ask him. haha yea be prepared for a lot of injections. its really not that bad tho. id say the most uncomfortable part of the whole thing is trying to be comfortable on the chair and massage table during the extractions. id def suggest some sort of foot rest for the regular chair, i might actually send doctor nader a list of my suggestions.
  11. made another video with more info from the day of the procedure, hopefully this is useful for you guys. will be ready to view in 30 mins according to my youtube account.
  12. Thought i'd share this with anyone else interested in a hair transplant w dr nader. prices are excellent, especially after the discounts.
  13. finished my surgery today w doctor nader. currently uploading a video to youtube, it says 30 more mins and it will be available to view:
  14. Does anyone know if it is possible for the doctor to NOT shave my head for the procedure? I was hoping to keep what i i have (at least on the top of my head). it has taken years to grow my hair to this length (3+ inches long). the plan is to have him fill in 1/2 inch or so on the sides of my hairline and then fill in the crown which is a much larger area. id be ok with him shaving the donor area and crown, but was hoping to keep what i already have on top... if possible!
  15. yea just takes a really long time to get a response via email about things. i still have no idea where to stay or if i will be picked up the morning of my procedure, etc. (as people have mentioned on forums/youtube), i assume i will fly inito MFE airport which is on the texas side next to the clinic in reynosa mexico. i just now went ahead and booked my flight to land the day before the procedure as prices started climbing. sounds like he's a safe bet and i just wanted to both save on cost, but not fly to somewhere like turkey which is super far away (im located in las vegas). so far i do not have a price quote or anything, just a confirmed procedure date.
  16. Planning to fly to McAllen texas to have an FUE procedure completed by Dr Luis Nader next week in Reynosa, Mexico. Email communication has been limited and I'm getting a bit nervous about the procedure etc, whether or not I should even have a hair surgery at all. Was hoping to hear from others who have had a surgery conducted by Dr Nader and see some before/after results, and results after 1-2 years following the surgery. See a lot of posts here with immediate photos after surgery but not much feedback or photos from years later. Thanks! Thanks!
  17. is the zig zag pattern on the hairline followed by the doctor? i really wonder how it comes out 1 year after surgery. i know a straight line would look too fake but this seems like it could also come out looking very bad?
