yes smp is good but it is not permanent and in long term it will cost more than ht

yes i want to get tattoo carefully.

if i get good tattoo from good artist will it have Nevertheless helmet look?

execpt smp what can i do?

yeap, tattoo will cause unwanted attention but it is less costly and permanent solution. i think to get something simple tattoo.

a traditional tattoo goes deeper hence it spreads more.

A traditional tattoo ink is different than SMP ink. it has blue color in it. it will fade and be bluish with time.

SMP  or body hair into FUE scars is your only reasonable option. SMP is good for 3 years then it fades and has to be touched up but never completely disappears

Yeah, I understand that not everyone makes gains on Finasteride. I guess what I’m asking is does it look like I’ve lost further hair? to me, it definitely looks like I have especially around the hairline from the front on photos. This is 7 months on Finasteride so if I’m still losing hair, it doesn’t give me much confidence that I’ve stabilised it enough for a transplant.

Yes to me it looks like you have continued to have miniaturization. Tough position. Consider talking to your doctor about adding minoxidil or going to Dutasteride or both.

I've been trying to get my surgical photos from Dr Diep for over a year. Every time I would follow up, they would say they are still working on it. Recently they started ignoring my follow ups. I have been informed in my consultations that those photos would be helpful in my lifetime planning, since we can look at where exactly they tried to implanted grafts previously.

I had tried before and given up, until my consultation with Dr Gabel. He informed me that those photos are a part of my medical record, and that I am legally entitled to them, and if they refuse, there are some legal options that could be painful for them.

I am now looking to consider whatever options, any help, or directions to look at would be helpful. My guess is a lawyer who specializes in cometic surgery. Any advice or directions to look in would be greatly appreciated.

just send his office this thread. they ARE absolutely a part of your record. My thoughts are they have lost them. There is no reason they would not release the photos to you. If they have lost them you can ask them for a monetary compensation.

Having said that, while it would help to have a photos from diep, in this day and age most people have tons of photos on smart phones. i am sure you can find enough photos there to give Gabel and idea of your hair loss patterns before and after

So I was due to have a hair transplant with a clinic in London. 4 days before the surgery I was called and told a list of medication I needed to stop taking 1 week before surgery including blood thinners that I was on. I asked them why I was being told to stop taking medication only 4 days before if it required 7 and ended up having to pull out. I gave 3 days notice that I couldn’t go through with it for the reason that I wasn’t given enough time to stop my medication and fast forward 3 days the clinic calls me asking where I am and why I hadn’t showed for the appointment. I pointed out that I had give them notice and included the response email the practice gave me. They are now saying I have wasted their time and won’t give me a refund. Does anyone know what I should do now as it’s £1,500 down the drain and I’d really like it back.

    many thanks

you ask to speak with the physician or the owner of the clinic. You explain what happened. Most likely he will offer another date.

if they give you a hard time, report them to the business and medical board. No legit clinic would give you a hard time about this.

Assuming everything you are saying is truth.

It would be best to contact the clinic for any updated costs and the doctors involved in my surgery were Dr.Arika for planning, Dr.Priyadarshini for the slits and the senior staff for the extraction and implantation.

If anyone dislodges a graft they need to put in sterile saline solution right away so it doesn’t dry out.  Since most people won’t have that at home, I think regular contact lens solution may be a good alternative.

    Hey quick question...

Is it actually legal in the USA for a hair transplant clinic to not have an actual surgeon on site do anything, and instead all the work is done by a tech?

My botch transplant was done by one tech who did the whole thing. There was no actual surgeon or doctor present, though there was a nurse practitioner there in the morning. I've since learned that this is highly anomalous. (I was an uninformed idiot at the time.)

    No

No @HappyMan2021 , you got it wrong, I got the hair transplant from Eugenix Gurgaon, and stayed at Doubletree Hilton Hotel, as a hotel service they drop you at the airport while you checkout, so while I was getting into the cab for the airport, I bumped into the door as it was a short sedan and immediately asked the driver to rush to Eugenix and I reached there in 15mins max. and explained it to the doctors there the condition and they immediately got a technician and a nee implanter and got the grafts reimplanted in like 15mins. So the total time the grafts were outside the scalp were around 25-30mins and reimplanted. So my query was would it be safe time for the grafts to survive and my main concern and fear is that I am waiting in the airport and need tips for a safe journey home and not get bumped anywhere 😭😭

Most likely they won’t survive. Grafts will dry out within 4-5 minutes max. 25 minutes for sure they will dry out. Once dried they are dead. Sorry but just being honest

  8. If you have a good head of hair (which u do) transplant can make you have great hair.

if you have ok hair transplant will make you have good hair.

it’s all relative on where u start.

if you allready are an 8 out of 10 some people say don’t risk trying to go for perfection. But I think the risk is worth taking as long as u go to a good doctor.

Have you had a procedure at Eugenix?

Not hit or miss with them. Only senior techs can extract and implant and none of them are “come and go”; they’ve all been there many years and are all trained in the high quality art of Sethi and Bansal. Dr. Das is also a senior doctor. No juniors are making any incisions or doing any planning or design.

I know that may not mean much to the HT community at large because it traditionally assumes that a single super senior doctor (founding doctor) must do the majority of the physical work for a clinic to be high quality. That may be true more times than not across the entire industry, but Eugenix has built something spectacular because of the extremely high quality standards they set for everyone who works on patients.

no i have not had a procedure at Eugenix. I am not denying the techs can do good work, but you really believe a tech that was hired a month ago and working on a patient will tell the patient, hey buddy I am practicing on you. Everyone starts somewhere don't they?

I am sorry, people can have their opinion but I dont have any respect for doctors that choose not to be in operating room with THEIR patient while he/she is being operated on. I dont care how good or bad the work is period.

How many grafts do you need?

As you can see below I went with Dr. Das and even though she was minimally involved in the actual relocation of grafts, I had an excellent experience and all of the technicians did an amazingly high quality job. It’s no risky hair mill. They are great.

in that case, it is a hit or miss. When the doctor is minimally involved techs come and go. it is hard to know what you are getting. i was thinking maybe dr das being a junior doctor will be more involved in the surgery. but doesnt sould like thats a case.
