  1. I agree your new hairs look very thin and wispy. That’s probably good news as the hairs will undoubtedly strengthen and increase in diameter. I’m noticing this with my HT.  The ends of my new hairs are fizzy and thin compared to the base of the hair strands.  It has made my hair appear thicker.  You should start seeing the hairs thicken by 10 - 12 months.   I also think you need to be realistic as you were quite bald.   Placing thin hair in a bald region without an adjacent patch of full hair is bound to require more than one surgery.   Your result is not a failure and there is only so much one procedure can accomplish.  If you’ve lost confidence in your doctor then choose another top surgeon.  I wish more multiple procedure folks would share their stories.  People are mainly hearing from the guys who largely have a full head of hair but need their corners corrected.  In looking at your photos I think you should go to a good stylist and get cleaned up.  Use styling powder and some toppick and I bet you’ll look a lot better.  And add some relaxation techniques like yoga and breathing exercises.   If you’re stressing out about this then you’re not helping matters.   Sending you lots of growing vibes brother.

Wow homerun. Looks like you never had any hair loss! I bet you are ecstatic! How does the scar look?

I’m loving it. I find it’s still getting thicker even at the year mark. I can’t really see the scar anymore - my barber couldn’t find it.
    Hasson is the boss.

But you posted it, not them.

This is what I'm talking about

You can't tell how good Hasson work is with those pictures. Meanwhile, Feriduni's pictures are extremely detailed and allow the viewer to judge his work. Many other doctors like Munib Ahmad, Rafael De Freitas, Konior, Nadimi, Couto, etc post very detailed pictures.

I mean, you know their work is good because you are a patient, but for someone who isn't...there's no way to see it other than "trust me bro, they have a great reputation".

Ya I agree it would be nice to have better before and after pics. I think H&W do well off their reputation. That’s why it’s great when folks post to this forum.

I agree with you. I've seen how they present their cases and most of them don't show the hair slicked back, wet or being combed. If I didn't knew about the clinic reputation here, I would assume it's just another random, nothing special clinic.

They need to up their game when it comes to presenting their cases, can't compare them to the greats like Konior or Feriduni to name a few, without good pictures (both Feriduni and Konior take extremely detailed, high resolution, honest pictures). Impossible to do an apples to apples comparison without proper pictures.

They are not the only ones tho, most clinics, sadly, present their cases the same way.

I posted wet comb through in natural light from Hasson 7 months result. He does great work in my opinion and experience. Everyone is different but I’m very happy.

Have definitely gotten overall comments from friends who don’t know I had a procedure along the lines of “you look more tan” and “your skin looks better” and “you look healthier” these days, which is great! On the flip side, folks who are close to me including my mom, wife, sister, etc. have all said it looks great but the angles are really sharp and the temples look like hair plugs. My wife in particular keeps calling it my hair plugs which is annoying… (she’s trying to reassure me by saying “it’s ok thats just what hair plugs look like, they’re always pluggy, I can always tell when ppl have hair plugs,” not fully understanding that I paid top dollar for a non-pluggy, subtle FUE).

    That does sound amazing…

Thanks! Just watched it. After watching this and after reading a bunch about temple points on other posts here, I’m honestly flummoxed as to why H&W used doubles, triples, and thick hair from the back of my head on my temples. Everyone here AND the Feller and Bloxom video all talk about how temples should be done with the finest most delicate hairs and not use doubles and triples. Wtf this seems like basic knowledge that every other doctor talks about. Konior even uses nape hairs for temples. I’m pretty upset that there are literally thick caliber double grafts directly on the leading edge of the temple points!!!

I was surprised that Feller and Bloxom chose to use a lot of hair in the temples for the patient in the recent video on YouTube. The patient appeared to shave them down low in the after part of the video. It looked very good in my opinion.

I would think a follow up with Hasson wouldn’t be a bad idea since you’re at the 9 month mark. I’d be curious to hear his opinion on the outcome at this point.

Ultimately those hairs may get softer and refined.

    Month 3 update!

Overall, not a ton to report on. I started seeing some growth maybe 2-3 weeks ago. Not real “new hairline” shape noticeable though.
At roughly 5-6 weeks post-op I could see some black dots on my scalp and thought it was new hair but these dots disappeared in the next 3-4 weeks so I think it was remaining grafts that had not shed.

I only had 2-3 pimples in total. No itchy sensations at all.

Im hoping for a lot more growth in the next 2-3 months.

Scar is not noticeable. It’s even hard to capture it on photos when looking for it!

please let me know your thoughts on the progress so far!

You can expect itching very soon. That’s when the sprouting is happening. It may be controversial to say but I would gently rub the itchy area regularly (not fingernails) and I think it helped the hairs to pop through. I had a lot of superficial rough skin and I think gentle rubbing help slough it off so the hairs could spring free. Also, when you shampoo give the area a brisk scrub with your fingertips. Not 100 on this but I felt it stimulated the area and assisted in healing. But there should be no pain and nothing sharp like fingernails or a comb.

Looking forward to following your case.

    Hey Kent,

    everything looks great!

I had a FUT with Hasson 2 weeks ago, so I’m going through the exact same experience. Do you mind sharing an update (incl. photo of the back/scar). That would be super helpful!

I recently added 5 month photos (plus 1 week) in case you’re interested.

    Hope you’re healing/sprouting well!

That's great, you've held on really well despite even being off it for a while. You're in  for / already have a great result. Do other men around you still care for their hair?

Most of my friends don’t think about their hair much because they have little to no loss. Jealous. lol

Nordster34s experience was completely different than ours. It’s almost like he went to a different surgeon. And it’s not like the doctor has been going downhill either, since we all had our transplants performed this year.

Its completely baffling how different our experiences are. I had a very positive impression of the clinic after my surgery, Dr Hasson heard me out, he liked my hairline design more than his and went with mine, he listened to my idea of restoring the crown to a degree I can hide it on the first surgery, he treated my illness on top of giving me a hair transplant. He also checked up on me on my first day post hair wash to talk and gave me stronger painkillers because of the tonsillitis I developed. Whilst Nordster was the opposite, completely ignored his wishes in the design, doctor absent, ghosted multiple times on email, no final checkup and had improper angles on the temples.

I do feel like his hairline result was excellent, with incredible density for a single pass and that I can confidently say that he is better off than when he started and that most people won’t notice that imperfections. But he spent a large sum of money for the best and improper angles on temples he didn’t ask for with that level of service is not worth the money.

3875 grafts for your area covered looks amazing buzzed down. It’s gotta be close to your native density.

Maybe I’m alone on this one but I didn’t have a problem with his hair design. I think it still looks patchy on one side but that’s a minor fix. I’d really need to see his entire head before reaching a conclusion. But there’s no disputing Nordster34’s experience and if he’s unhappy with the quality of care and/or the transplant result then of course that should be remedied. Different patients who have different perceptions and I think it’s impossible to make everyone happy. What I’ve learned about temple work is that it’s delicate and requires skill. Feller and Bloxom recently uploaded a HT case to YouTube involving temple work. I recommend it as it’s explains some of the planning and criteria for temple design.

That is crazy strong for only 5 months well done!

Thanks. He used a lot of grafts so my expectations are high with respect to density. So far so good.  I’m very satisfied with my new hairline but it’s still patchy further back. Also, the new hairs are really soft and fine. A hair transplant is such a crazy waiting game. lol

Looks awesome and still a lot of time for improvement, congrats. Dr. Hasson has been catching some heat lately on this forum because of @Nordster34 temple points not looking great but all of the elite surgeons have some subpar results. Hasson is still a top 5 surgeon in the world and the best doctor at mega sessions for higher norwoods.

I was sorry to hear he wasn’t satisfied with his hair design. Fortunately my design was simple and my overall experience with the clinic was favourable. I think Hasson’s superpower is building density and he uses a lot of grafts to achieve it. I have no doubt the clinic would rectify subpar results free of charge. They actually gave me a significant discount for an unexpected rescheduling of my surgery. I have a close friend who also got a transplant from Hasson. He developed a skin condition several years after his transplant and lost a lot of his transplanted hair (completely unrelated to surgery). Hasson is currently working with him free of charge to help him get his hair back even though it’s not his responsibility. Yes H&W charge a lot but you get what you pay for. They guarantee patient satisfaction. There are some things that can’t be guaranteed but I’m convinced they will do everything they can to get patients as close to their desired result as possible.
