  1. I agree your new hairs look very thin and wispy. That’s probably good news as the hairs will undoubtedly strengthen and increase in diameter. I’m noticing this with my HT. The ends of my new hairs are fizzy and thin compared to the base of the hair strands. It has made my hair appear thicker. You should start seeing the hairs thicken by 10 - 12 months. I also think you need to be realistic as you were quite bald. Placing thin hair in a bald region without an adjacent patch of full hair is bound to require more than one surgery. Your result is not a failure and there is only so much one procedure can accomplish. If you’ve lost confidence in your doctor then choose another top surgeon. I wish more multiple procedure folks would share their stories. People are mainly hearing from the guys who largely have a full head of hair but need their corners corrected. In looking at your photos I think you should go to a good stylist and get cleaned up. Use styling powder and some toppick and I bet you’ll look a lot better. And add some relaxation techniques like yoga and breathing exercises. If you’re stressing out about this then you’re not helping matters. Sending you lots of growing vibes brother.
  2. I say work with Hasson. I really doubt this is a surgeon skills problem. If it can be done he can do it. I had a great experience with Hasson 11 months ago and I couldn’t be happier. Best wishes to you!
  3. I’m loving it. I find it’s still getting thicker even at the year mark. I can’t really see the scar anymore - my barber couldn’t find it. Hasson is the boss.
  4. 1 full year ! Already ! Attaching a before and after. reminder - 3875 grafts FUT Hasson
  5. Give it more time. You’re a slow grower but a grower nonetheless! It may also take more time to see better results because you don’t have much natural density behind your hairline. And find a stylist to clean up your early results. You’ll look and feel a lot better. Are you using powder styling products? They’re a game changer.
  6. I wasn’t overly impressed with my HT until the 9th month. It’ll appear thicker as it lengthens. Some of your multi hairs will sprout a little later too. I don’t think 6 months is enough time to reach a conclusion. I can emphasize with you my friend.
  7. Looks great. Right on track. Wait till you hit the 8 or 9 month mark - you’ll be tickled pink. Hair transplants rock!
  8. Ya I agree it would be nice to have better before and after pics. I think H&W do well off their reputation. That’s why it’s great when folks post to this forum.
  9. I posted wet comb through in natural light from Hasson 7 months result. He does great work in my opinion and experience. Everyone is different but I’m very happy.
  10. Looks great. I had FUT with Hasson in July and love the results at 7 months. He’s a great doctor.
  11. I think it’s shaping up nicely. I always liked the design and felt it needed time to mature. Another great Hasson result! Glad it worked out for you!
  12. 7 month update! (Wet & dry look photos attached) reminder - 3875 FUT Hasson in Vancouver July 2022
  13. Looks great! I just passed 6 months FUT with Hasson. Very exciting.
  14. I was surprised that Feller and Bloxom chose to use a lot of hair in the temples for the patient in the recent video on YouTube. The patient appeared to shave them down low in the after part of the video. It looked very good in my opinion. I would think a follow up with Hasson wouldn’t be a bad idea since you’re at the 9 month mark. I’d be curious to hear his opinion on the outcome at this point. Ultimately those hairs may get softer and refined.
  15. It may be of interest to know Feller and Bloxom recently uploaded a YouTube case on temple planning and design.
  16. You can expect itching very soon. That’s when the sprouting is happening. It may be controversial to say but I would gently rub the itchy area regularly (not fingernails) and I think it helped the hairs to pop through. I had a lot of superficial rough skin and I think gentle rubbing help slough it off so the hairs could spring free. Also, when you shampoo give the area a brisk scrub with your fingertips. Not 100 on this but I felt it stimulated the area and assisted in healing. But there should be no pain and nothing sharp like fingernails or a comb. Looking forward to following your case.
  17. I recently added 5 month photos (plus 1 week) in case you’re interested. Hope you’re healing/sprouting well!
  18. Most of my friends don’t think about their hair much because they have little to no loss. Jealous. lol
  19. Maybe I’m alone on this one but I didn’t have a problem with his hair design. I think it still looks patchy on one side but that’s a minor fix. I’d really need to see his entire head before reaching a conclusion. But there’s no disputing Nordster34’s experience and if he’s unhappy with the quality of care and/or the transplant result then of course that should be remedied. Different patients who have different perceptions and I think it’s impossible to make everyone happy. What I’ve learned about temple work is that it’s delicate and requires skill. Feller and Bloxom recently uploaded a HT case to YouTube involving temple work. I recommend it as it’s explains some of the planning and criteria for temple design.
  20. Yes 56. I took finasteride when I was young but stopped about 10 years ago. I’m back on finasteride with no apparent side effects.
  21. I’m obviously thrilled not to have to contribute to the recent criticism of Dr Hasson. 😉
  22. Thanks. He used a lot of grafts so my expectations are high with respect to density. So far so good. I’m very satisfied with my new hairline but it’s still patchy further back. Also, the new hairs are really soft and fine. A hair transplant is such a crazy waiting game. lol
  23. I was sorry to hear he wasn’t satisfied with his hair design. Fortunately my design was simple and my overall experience with the clinic was favourable. I think Hasson’s superpower is building density and he uses a lot of grafts to achieve it. I have no doubt the clinic would rectify subpar results free of charge. They actually gave me a significant discount for an unexpected rescheduling of my surgery. I have a close friend who also got a transplant from Hasson. He developed a skin condition several years after his transplant and lost a lot of his transplanted hair (completely unrelated to surgery). Hasson is currently working with him free of charge to help him get his hair back even though it’s not his responsibility. Yes H&W charge a lot but you get what you pay for. They guarantee patient satisfaction. There are some things that can’t be guaranteed but I’m convinced they will do everything they can to get patients as close to their desired result as possible.
  24. You’ll get lots of those. lol. You’re completely fine.
