  1. Hi ProspectII, To be honest, it was probably around the 4/5 month mark that I noticed a heavy increase to my arm/ leg hair. In terms of the difference to my head of hair (the important bit!!), I really don't know when it kicked in but I would guess around the 5/6 month mark is when I really noticed the difference to hair colour (which I am assuming is as a result of thickness). Hope it starts to kick in soon and you are happy with the results!
  2. Hi mate, thanks for the comment. To be brutally honest, I do not know the reason for Bisanga recommending Minox, from what I understand minoxidil increases blood flow to the scalp, which may contribute to increased hair growth. I did ask about Fin but he advised this is not something I need... if anyone can shed any light on why this might be, that would be good to know! In respect of stopping Minox, the research says that you would lose any growth you obtained from the drug... I have always wondered about this as I am assuming I would go back to the position I was in prior to starting the drug. But as my particular case was not a case of diffuse thinning and it was a hairline restoration, I don't know how much of a difference there would be. Having said that, as I have previously mentioned my hair is a lot darker, I am assuming this is as a result of 'thicker' hair... so maybe I would see a big difference. I am sick of being asked if I am dying my hair, so maybe it would be worth seeing what happens haha I am currently still on 5mg daily, but if you do stop, be sure to let me know how it goes.
  3. Thanks for this. I never intended on leaving it so long and it was always in my mind that it was only fair to the community to provide regular updates, but life got in the way! Choosing a doctor who had proven results with similar hair characteristics was the main reason I went for Bisanga and thus far, I am very pleased. The FUE 3300 result is crazy and almost set an unrealistic expectation for everyone else haha
  4. Life has certainly been hectic of late! However not having to worry about my hair getting wet has helped, for sure!
  5. You are in good hands! Hope it all goes well and be sure to let me know how you get on!
  6. I am so sorry for the lack of updates folks, my life has suddenly gone crazy with a job change and a house move! So the attached images are just shy of the 8 month mark (239 days) and it is a massive improvement on where I was previously. I can wear my hair with no product and everything just sits so much better. I can also sweep my hair back when wet (if playing football for example) and that was absolutely unthinkable to me prior to the procedure. I don't wear my hair like this due to my forehead being enormous, but it shows what it has done for my confidence! In terms of styling, the base of the hair is still very stubborn so it is hard to manipulate at this time but I know as time goes on and the hair softens/ matures, this will hopefully sort itself out! As much as I am happy with where I am, I am hopeful that as the hair matures I will potentially see a bit of an improvement on the thickness of hairs. I am by no means unhappy, but I guess hair-greed is a real thing! At 8 months I am not expecting any great changes, but once the hair softens and matures, I am hopeful I may potentially get a small improvement! I have had a load of compliments on my hair and lots of people just can't put their finger on what is different about me (which is great and shows how natural the hairline design was by Bisanaga and team). I have managed to go through the procedure up to now with only one other person knowing I had it done (my partner), which is crazy to be honest. I am still on the usual Bisnaga Minoxidil prescription and don't intend to stop at this point. Other than making my hair a lot darker, I have had no sides (should also mention the increase in body hair which was a bit daunting as my legs, arms, hands and feet saw most of the additional growth.. a small pice to pay I guess). Be great to see what people think and sorry again for not posting. I always intended on being a regular poster and I am continuing to check in on other peoples progress. I will be back at 10 months for another update :). FYI The pictures are a combination of slightly wet and dry hair. Thanks all.
  7. Hopefully the growth continues! Good luck with your consultation, be sure to come back and let me know how it goes!
  8. An amazing result for this stage in the process. Can't put a price on the feeling of not having to worry. Fingers crossed it continues to improve!
  9. Good evening all, I wanted to provide a very quick update (apologies for the delay, travelling for work has made it very difficult to find time to post and take pictures). I will be sure to get some better pictures for my next update 👍. Hairline was filling out nicely and may have just slowed down slightly, but I am not concerned at this stage. Lots of gaps with absolutely no 'sprouts', but obviously won't judge anything at this early stage. Fingers crossed for a big 5th Month- overall I am feeling positive. I must say that my confidence when I have no product in my hair/ when my hair is wet has already improved greatly; purely down to the light definition of a better hairline, even if it isn't totally full! The hairs seem to be growing 'up' and across so very difficult to style. Hoping they can be trained to be flatter to my head but again, nothing I am too concerned with at this stage- just something I am hoping works itself out! Few pictures below. Sorry for the angles/ quality, will do my best to get good photos for my next post. Exciting times ahead (hopefully 🤞🤞🤞) Pics from day 125 (Wet Hair) Day 129 (post Haircut) Day 132 (slightly wet hair)
  10. Fingers crossed they keep popping through! The very bottom of the back and sides is a 0.5. It is definitely difficult to notice, but I would be lying if I said you could see no scarring at all. It is very minimal and it is to be expected after a serious operation, so I am totally comfortable with this if I get the hairline I am after, but just a point to note. To be honest, if the top grows as I hope it does (fingers crossed), I will definitely go for a longer style and won't go as short as 0.5 I don't think! Thanks very much. Really hoping we both get the results we are wanting. Having just looked through your thread, I know you are having a difficult time at the moment, but similar to my position, you did your research and chose a clinic who I am sure will get you to where you want to be. The work looked really clean and I am sure you will start to reap the rewards over the next couple of months! I also have loads of gaps and am hopeful these will fill in over time. sometimes I think we need to remember we are only just starting the 'good bit' and still have 9 months before we can be sure how we are going to end up. Really hoping you get an explosion over month 4 and 5!
  11. Evening all, just a quick one to provide my 3 month update (pics from 92 days). I am assuming all is going as expected. I still have some itchiness and occasional tenderness in the hairline, but nothing out of the ordinary or anything I am overly concerned about. Redness is a worry of the past and I am only just at the point I can disguise the HT by wearing my hair forward. I had a haircut on the day of these images as I went away on the weekend. When going out I have just put a small amount of product in my hair to make it look slightly 'fuller' and help disguise the recipient zone as best as possible. Very much looking forward to being able to style my hair properly! Right side is definitely slightly behind the left (as you can see in the Hairline pictures) and there is a small area with no 'sprouts' at all which isn't ideal, but I'm not massively concerned with this at this point; fingers crossed it all sorts itself out. Something I did find interesting is a lot of the hairs have a small black bulb on the end and almost slightly clearer colour in the middle? Again, not concerned by this but would be interested to hear what the reason for this is! Anyway, here's hoping for big growth in Month 4! 🤞 PS the redness on the donor at the nape is a birth mark just incase anyone thinks this is from the procedure!! Photo's below:- Right Side Left Side Donor
  12. This is already looking great!! Can't wait to see how good it ends up! In my opinion, the comment about being in the barbers is EXACTLY what this is all about (even at this early stage), really pleased for you.
  13. Incredible it's only 5 months with potential for improvement still! Enjoy the new barnet, looks great mate!!
  14. Thanks, we seem to be at similar stages progress wise; so hopefully we both get a good end result! I haven’t actually seen your thread before, so I will definitely have a look through and keep an eye out for updates! (Glad I wasn’t the only one re the hotel 🤣)
  15. Thanks Melvin, fingers crossed I get a great end result. I watched the podcast with Dr Bisanga and Dr Kostis last night and thought it was great. Out of interest, how do you establish 'early growth' from just hanging onto a few extra grafts, or are they mutually exclusive?
  16. Hi all day 60 today, Still a small amount of redness, but definitely not as prominent. Seem to have developed a pimple/spot on the hairline over the last day or two, which I am not concerned about. Need to try and leave it alone, though! Had a haircut on Tuesday just gone (just the back and sides) down to a 0.5 and donor is looking good, as expected! I have been living in a cap whenever going outside and I go on a family holiday tomorrow. I will be sure to wear a cap whenever in direct sunlight, but will also grab some child friendly high factor suncream just on the off chance I venture out in the evening without a hat! Very much looking forward to my hair being at a length where I can totally forget about things. I must say I have become far less obsessive recently and just trying to trust the process. Looking forward to hearing peoples thoughts! Cheers.
  17. No problem. I am going to post a small update tomorrow as that is my 60 day mark. I have held on to a few, but not loads by any means! I got to around the 6 week mark thinking I might get away with keeping a lot more, but I have lost a lot since. I am just trusting the process and hoping for the best! Will be interesting to see your thoughts on the update though! That's great, pleased to hear you've already seen an improvement!
  18. Definitely some good progress from month 2! Hopefully you start to see even more noticeable improvement over the coming weeks. On the minoxidil, glad to hear you are seeing a difference. I am a few days short of month 2 and I have definitely seen an increase in body hair, so I am hopeful it will have a good effect as the months go by! Remaining positive! You look to be right on track!
  19. This really is an incredible result! You must be so pleased. Congrats and I hope it continues to improve!
  20. Thanks, so far it’s all going as expected I think! Not sure I’m ready for a zero just yet, but I will likely get the back and sides tidied up soon with a 0.5 low fade. I will chuck some pictures in when I get round to booking a haircut!
