Donor is pristine -- I certainly couldn't tell you got a transplant. You've got nothing to worry about on that front.
Otherwise, looks like the hairs are sprouting! If the other Eugenix cases are anything to go by, months 1 - 4 are usually slow, so its to be expected. Month 5 looks to be the turning point, so just a little bit more waiting mate
Thank you. Hopefully. I'm eagerly waiting for the growth.

The shedding has started. They are not unattended pores but areas where the hair have started shedding. Please do not worry. Over time you shall observe growth from them also. I had rhe same thing when my ht was done.
Thanks for confirming @Eugenix Hair Sciences

Eugenix are masters at donor management, did you see @Bandit90 donor, incredible. Your donor looks good as well.
Thanks @Melvin- Moderator. Could you judge from above pictures(21 days update) if shedding is there?

I've never seen Eugenix overharvest, so I'd be surprised if you aren't able to go back for a second fill (I'm sure the first is a great result nonetheless). Rooting for you!!
Thanks dude. I hope that is the case. I can see some hairs sprouting on my head now. But shedding was not rampant or I was not able to judge it properly.

My 21 days update. All the pictures were taken today. All the pictures were taken with flash turned on.
Depending on the angle and closeness it's looking differently. I'm not really sure whether shedding started or not. But I noticed a lot of pores on my scalp that looked like slits of HT. I appreciate your opinion on it. I will post prior week's pictures as well if they help. Please let me know.
I'm using Finasteride as well as Hair Fact Vitamins.

Congratulations and happy growing.

Let me be honest. Have a consult over video so that variation in estimation is minimized. Regardless of clinic, go beyond marketing persons and take doctor's words.

Transplants should never be done with the support of medicines. Even for people for whom it works ,they will eventually lose finastride dependant hair and in my opinion ,one has to be dependant on and conservative with what can be done with permanent hair from donor and beard only. Doing fut will allow more scalp donor hair and consequently more beard hair to be used for obvious reasons. But thing with fue clinics doing norwood 6 is that HT is too dependant on finastride. I am still trying to understand how much unsafe donor area is eugenix using for norwood 6 and where they are placing those unsafe grafts which are inevitably going to be lost. But the good thing is that they seem to be doing more with less grafts which might help them to avoid unsafe donor area altogether.
Do clinics decide "safe donor area" patient to patient or do they confine to a standard area regardless of patient?

I believe it's the opposite , surgeon can see clearly density of your hair grafts when hair is short as well as bald spots , long hair can partially camouflages that ..
Can anyone correct me here if i'm wrong ?
I'm not too experienced in this area. But I agree with this I guess from my personal experience. I had assumed earlier that long hair could give idea to the doctors how it looks when grown long so that they can get a perception of how it looks when grown long.
But it might actually make it seem thicker than it is from photos. I guess the solution is to record a video by showing the direct scalp of the donor by using a comb. If possible, I would recommend doing a video consultation at least.(If not photos/videos also showing the scalp using a comb, just like how they show in result videos).
Conversely sometimes the longer hair makes the bald spots look worse as well. IMO, It shows progression more obvious, compared to buzz cut. -
I checked with them. They told there is a technical issue they are working on.

That's interesting...I do not see their YouTube channel anymore. I was subscribed and now it is not there. I wonder why...
Ahh. How did I not notice that. My bad. May be they have temporarily disabled it for some revamp or something.

Unlikely @quantumhairas he has not posted in years.
I think he is a good example of an advanced NW with fine hair and weak and limited donor that achieved solid results.
Thank you for informing me. It seems like the video you linked above was made private now for some reason.

Has anyone heard of TrichoStem. I don't know if it's legitimate. But he uses the similar terminology. "non surgical alternative......using regenerative medicine technology". See the linked video. He also talks about healing medicine.

How important are PRP sessions? They did prior to surgery and they have some complementary PRPs in my package. But it's hard to travel back there just for PRPs. I asked it seems the only option is to go back there to avail them. Although I'm Indian Delhi is too far (also not sure if flight tickets are worth spending back and forth for PRP).

Wow, this is incredible. You are really lucky. The shape of the post op pictures itself give a clue that you are going to get a great transformation. It seems like your baldness is already fully stabilized as whole area was used. That's a lot of grafts for the area, you will get a great coverage IMO.

If you ever wanted to get another procedure, your donor is in great shape. Plenty more to dip into over the years. Again, very smart of you to not deplete it all in one session.
Thank you buddy
On 3/8/2022 at 4:13 AM, SLA said:Yeah...I 2nd that. I think that was the strategy employed by Eugenix on purpose given your age and the progression of hair loss. Taking too much out of the donor at once can destroy its use for future procedures. Another clinic might have done that. Hopefully finasteride will give you a boost as well.
Slow, but steady wins the race. It is easy to lose perspective of course. The way I am trying to think about it is that it took me so many years to lose my hair, therefore, if it takes me 2 or 3 years to get it back (rather than 1 year) it is nothing in the scheme of things.
Better to do it the way you are doing than taking reckless chances.
I hope that is the case. I'm hopeful of a second session.
17 hours ago, SLA said:Hi @quantumhair- I am not sure, but a Eugenix case that comes to mind which is posted on this forum is from @budhair
Apparently, his donor was very weak and Eugenix over 2 surgeries managed to extract close to 4k scalp grafts combined with another 4k or so beard grafts to give him pretty much a full head of hair.
20 months after his 2nd surgery, he had a big beard hair shed, but I think it grew back in. Dr. Arika did a video several months back in which his case was presented.
I don't know how your donor compares with his...it may be much better for all I know, but his case is a great example of what could be done.
Hope this helps!!!
That's interesting. Do you mind sharing a link to the video of the shedding? I think @budhair has stopped responding on the thread 2nd Hair Transplant with Eugenix. Thanks for helping me out.

Reading your entire post, how from the pictures you were quoted the number of grafts vs what was the actual count, I guess you had video consultation with the clinics?
If yes, you suggest to go see in person right?
and if you were to go back, would you give medispa a chance?
@deadmanWhile FUT+FUE may work great for people with low donors, scar is a deal breaker for me, personally. So it was out of the question for that reason.
I will stick to Eugenix for second procedure as well. This is even if I don't consider FUT scar. The second surgery in my case would just be a continuation of the first. What I want out of that is still need to be decided i.e. crown vs hair line vs density improvement.
That said, I really hope some new technique comes in the coming decade to generate new hair in some form

That was for 4000~ grafts in my case and yours?
4000 grafts with FUT+FUE technique. I checked my email again. The price was 50/graft not 45. I mis remembered. Also, I asked them about beard. They told 1000 grafts can easily be taken from my beard.
Note that beard graft cost is different 80/graft in case of beard. They refused to touch crown in the first session even if they use beard grafts.
PS: sorry for hijacking this thread.- 1

@deadmanI see, then I think it could be due to number of grafts.

I really hope I can have another session. I checked with Eugenix and they asked me to wait for another 3 months before they can tell.
