who knows, actually be the reason, viagra/cialis is a vasodilator like minoxidil so it opens blood vessels allowing nutrients, vitamins , other supplements to get more into the system..... but yes op this is nice at 7 months.

Yeah I understand the reason for it but I just can't imagine 3 months on both. I'm not even sure that it's healthy for your body. Maybe your hair will thrive but has this been studied for other affects? I've never heard of someone taking both before.

Either way, the OP survived lol and the hair took off so maybe his Dr is onto something.

Dr Turan & Dr Gur have been mentioned more and more over the last year or so, Dr Yaman has been recommended as long as I can remember (least 11 years) the forums recommended list isn’t exhaustive, it’s possible within time they could be added, depends if the community agree and If they want to be considered..

    This ☝️

Also consider that Dr's pay a fee to be recommended here. Some Dr's might not want or need to pay for this. So for Dr. Gur to be recommended, it would have to be a mutual agreement between both parties. This is why the list is a good starting point but that doesn't mean other Dr's shouldn't be considered. Look at real patient reviews to make your decision.

The point being that I would only pay Zarev level prices for someone who invests that much time into me. I've heard of the doctors from the big name clinics just spending under 15 minutes designing your hairline, doing incisions, and dipping to meet their next patient.

This sounds like a hair mill you are describing. Dr. Ferreira was the only person who touched my head. A few other Dr's perform every stage of surgery as well. Plenty of other Dr's use techs to help extract or implant. What matters is results though so every Dr has their own methods.

What big name clinics are you referring to?

  4. My surgeon (Dr. Ferreira) was 3€ a graft. Works 4 days a week Tue-Fri. About 1500 grafts a day. I'd bet most take quite a few vacations as well. Do they make good money, absolutely! But for 1.5€, find me a Dr that is exceptional. They'd be booked for 2-3 years. You get what you pay for in most things in life and a HT are no exception. Sure, some Dr's are a better value of course.

Very few world class Dr's exist and they are all booked a year plus. Most are raising prices right now because they can. Supply/Demand.

I think your numbers are way off as well since most quality Dr's don't see so many per day.

Considering Turkey just because it seems the cheapest

Remember that you get what you pay for. Cheap Surgeons have higher failure rates. If they had a surgeon performing 3k hair transplants perfectly, they'd have a 3 year waiting list. Can some of them provide a decent result, sure. But, they also likely have a much higher rate of dissatisfied customers.

This is not to say that a 50k HT is required. I'm just saying that maybe look at other Dr's as well. Most of Turkey is a scam and if you can afford it, I'd look elsewhere.

Dr. Pinto is pretty good in Portugal as well. Plenty of others out there if you do some research.

  6. Turkey is really not the best place for a HT. Dr. Biçer is pretty good and HLC seems ok as well. After that I think it drops off quite a bit but maybe a couple of other clinics do good work. I'd look a Dr. De Freitas in Spain, he's a little more than Dr. Biçer but he's considered one of the best in the world right now.

    Where are you from?

Can you post pictures of your hair? You can blur your face if you need to.

Hey @JoeMan, just found your thread. Dr Ferreira is an amazing doctor. You chose very very well! I was close to choosing him as it was easier to fly there last year during the pandemic, but his waiting list was so long, and to my surprise, I got approved to go to India and the rest is history as they say. Hang in there during your ugly phase because in no time you are going to be completely transformed.💪 A lot of coverage for that amount of grafts between crown, temples and frontal region. Having the sure hand of Dr Ferriera it is safe to say that I can congratulate you in advance for an awesome final result even though you are many months away from achieving it!

Thanks @MazAB, your case is definitely an inspiration. I'm on a similar vitamin regimen and so far I'm seeing some early growth. Not sure if I can attribute it to the vitamins of course. Appreciate your encouragement as I can't wait to exit this phase.

I can also attest to this absolutely abhorrent clinic. I went to Asli in early June 2021 so i'm about 10 months in. They (Fred) marked me for too many (4500) grafts to be taken from my donor area. I didn't know what kind of impact that number would have on the back of my head but I trusted them, so I figured it should be fine. I even kept asking how good is my donor and they insisted that It was very dense, very good.  After the procedure, I realized they even filled in areas around my temples that already had hair. Which was a waste of grafts. I'm damn near bald back there now. I'm worried if whether I can even do something about this. Who would have thought i'd be still insecure about my hair 10 months down the road after what I believed to be the end of my hair troubles. If anybody still decides to go to that clinic, absolutely do your research and demand what you want. You got guys like Fred in there who are extremely stubborn and swear they're right and you're wrong, and will completely fack you over if you let them. I absolutely did not need 4500 grafts so please be mindful of those numbers when you go in. If you feel you dont need 4000+ DEMAND less. Take care of your hair, money and time.

Sorry this happened to you but maybe it's best to recommend that people just stay away completely. They seem to be one of the worst places someone can go for a HT

  9. Turkey is full of hair mills that scar people for life. Go to a professional and reduce your risk of a failed HT. Turkey is really not a great place for a HT all together so take your time and do research before proceeding.

Going to a doctor with no known cases seems like a horrible idea and I hope that you realize that the worst likely will happen. Hair Transplant Surgery is a surgical procedure that requires real skills to perform well. You want the end result to look natural. This takes many years of practice for top Dr's to achieve. A shady clinic hasn't performed enough surgery to gain the required skills and will likely screw up your hair.

  10. I had a similar issue a year ago and had to do the same thing(Email directly). They lost my pictures afterwards though and it took some time for my consultation because of it. Once they realized it was lost, they did expedite the process though.  I'd say just check in on them in a week or 2 to be sure they have them if you haven't already received a confirmation email. I waited like 2 months figuring they were that busy. Good luck! Excellent choice
