  1. With a little bit of delay, I share my 12 month results. Pictures taken at 20/11/2022, so 12 months and 8 days to be exact. Throughout all the shared pictures, I tried to add some variety (light, angle, ...) whilst still trying to give relevant benchmark references between each month so the evolution can really be measured. I hope this played out well and it gives that extra insight for the person who's still doubting about getting a HT or not. Looking back at it, I'm very happy with the decision I made and the result I got. The beginning was a little bit stressful but I guess that's normal when doing something like this. If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask them.
  2. Hello, First of all, my best wishes for 2023. Below, I share my 11 months results (pictures taken at 22/10/22).
  3. My consultation was in person since I live pretty close to the clinic.
  4. Thanks for the nice comment, I appreciate it. I'm not sure what the exact name of the style is but my barber gave me a mid fade (skin fade at the bottom). He kept more length in the middle of the scalp to create more thickness and he cut the front mid short so I could still style it the way I like to. Hope this helps.
  5. Sorry for the delay. I'm very happy with the density. I'm able to style it the way I want and the quality and thickness of the hairs are perfect.
  6. 297 days or 9 months and 24 days since surgery. Very glad with the results. Pictures taken right after barber visit.
  7. Apologies for the delay. These are my 8M pictures actually taken at 8.5M. 9M coming soon. Didn't notice any improvement compared to last month. Feel like 7M might be the best it has been (judging based on photos). In the last picture you'll see a non-combed, wet top shot in bright light.
  8. I guess anywhere in the future, when I'd need another session, I could add the temple points. It doesn't bother me at all today so I'll see in the future. Good luck with your ht!
  9. It was me who wanted and asked for an unshaven/partial shaven HT. For them, it's harder since they have more management to do during the procedure. I first wanted the unshaven, then went with the partial shave. I'm happy I did because after 1-2 months, I was able to cover the transplanted area and no one noticed I've had a HT. That being said, I think it's personal preference.
  10. Thanks, Melvin. I highly appreciate the recognition. Also thank you, for everything you do on this forum and the video's you share with us. Personally for me, your videos and information have been calming me down before and right after the hair transplant. Thank you for that.
  11. 7 months. Maybe a small improvement in quality and color but not much has changed. Really happy with the result. Pictures in sun and normal.
  12. My apologies for the delay. Pictures taken at 6 months post-op and after a haircut. First dry, then wet hair. I'm really glad with the result. Really curious at this point what will evolve over the next few months.
  13. Thanks for the nice comment and question. When you go back to my first comment where I share my old before pictures (18yo) you can see the natural design of my hairline (moving outwards from the middle). I told Bisanga I was very interested to keep this if possible. He told me they always follow the pattern of the exisiting hairline and look at how all the hairs are growing naturally to mimic this. That being said, after he told me this, I was relaxed and was happy since what I wanted, was what he already had in mind. I think the design frames my face very well, I'm very happy with it. It looks so good, yet so natural already. If you're going to do something as big as a HT, I believe you should try to go for what you have in mind. If the doctor follows that vision with all of his knowledge, you get the best of both worlds.
  14. 5 months yesterday. The last couple of weeks have been great. The quality and thickness got to a point where I was confident enough with styling my hair a little bit. For the past 4 months I've been wearing my hair down but after 4 months and 1-2 weeks, I've been able to do something nice with it, which is awesome. As you can see on some wet pictures I hopefully have some growing and thickening left to do. Can't wait to see what the next months will bring.
  15. 4 month update. The quality and texture of the hair is slowly becoming more natural. Feel like left side has a harder time growing than right side. Hopefully the next month(s) will show more growth and thickness.
  16. 3 months already, time flies. Can't wait for the other hairs to grow in and the quality of the new hair to get better.
  17. Amazing progress for 4 months. Looks really natural and smooth. Excited for the next months!
  18. Looking really good. Very excited for your coming weeks/months. No doubt it will turn out awesome. I hope you're enjoying your stay in Brussels, although the surgery is probably keeping you inside most of the time. Safe flight back!
  19. Thanks for the compliment, I appreciate it. Glad you also went with Dr. Bisanga, he's great. I just uploaded my progress, feel free to take a look. Everything going well so far I think. Patience is key. Good luck with your journey!
  20. My apologies for the 1 week delay (pictures are from 2 months though). I wish everyone a successful and healthy 2022. 2 month update. Will try to make better pictures for month 3 but I feel like it's hard now with the contrast between the long native hair and grown transplanted hair. Hard to say howmuch I lost but didn't really notice a hard shedding phase. Redness is slowly going away (also using Emu oil since about 2 weeks). The feeling above the transplanted hair is almost fully back now (finally). Had my first barber visit in what felt like ages. Sides & back cut short as you can see on the pictures below.
  21. I'm 13 days post op and seem to have a little bit of the same issue with my lymph nodes. How did it go for you?
  22. I'm on day 12 and when I'm massaging the recipient gently after shampooing I also noticed like a couple of these hairs. When did this start with you? I've had some when I removed the scabs and than the last 2 days (day 10 and 11) i barely had any. Today I had like 10 with my 2 washes combined. Did you have a similar kind of shed? And can you tell more about when it started to shed (amount of hairs) and how it progressed? Thanks a lot!
  23. No, they did measure it with a device before drawing the hairline but I didn't ask any details.
