Outstanding transformation! Not many physicians or clinics would dare to fix this guy's hair. You can easily see the scar tissue which would certainly be a reason for many clinics not wanting to help him out. I bet he's finally continuing his life the way before his hairloss (and artificial ht).

A fabulous transformation Dr Beehner!!! I really appreciate your approach , the hairline looks absolutely feminine and suits the face. There are alot of guys who prefer the feminine look without altering their gender. The androgynous look is something which is sought after in many Southeastern Asian countries so I admire your open mindness and helping this guy with his desires and life. After all a ht is something which should help us to get back on track and live our lives the way we want it. For me a hairtransplant is something to help us forget about our hair and I think this patient who already has an outstanding result will even be more over the moon after the third procedure. Fabulous result!

Maybe I'm wrong about it, but I understood it took like 5 hours or more to just extract the grafts(drilling)? If the whole surgery would only have taken 5+ hours than that's the fastest ever: maybe a guinnes world record ,anyway speedy work in this field is a no no! Feel so sorry for these guys.

This case just needs some clarification which I hope will be next Tuesday because I believe it may be a misleading post for those new people seeking to restore their hairline and seeing this case (so many grafts= so sparse density?). 4 Surgeries is just ridiculous or maybe the post op pics are from the first surgery? Will keep my eyes on this one.

I would have said it looks good, but was the outlined area(so frontal third) the only area where these 7390 grafts were addressed to? Now lets guess he had an area of about 60cm2 to be filled in which would be lik 123 grafts per cm2 ? even when It would be 80cm2(highly doubtful) that would mean 92 grafts/cm2 and still somewhat a see through hairline with what looks likes some folliculitis? I really thought this amount of grafts should have made it extremely dense looking like some of the hairlines we see on here in same situations as this patient with fewer grafts. The only thing which matters if the patient is happy about the result and will be happy with it many years from now on. the result itself; looks good.

I wonder about the amount of grafts needed for the hairline since the hairline only accepts single or double hair grafts for a natural look. Many of us want to fill in a thinning hairline or a too high hairline being brought down but to make a hairline look dense seems to be somewhat of an issue to many. I recall dr Keene's study about hair density in the hairline which was about 51fus in the hairline. Now as many surgeons will only use single hair grafts in that area that will imply that this person would only have 51 hairs per cm2; how can this ever look dense as I've read that a low hair density exists of 150 hairs per cm2 and the highest density of 300 hairs max. Now 51 hairs is a third of a low density and saying that you need to lose about 50% of your native hair to notice any thinning you still should need at least 75 hairs; so in the end you still end up with a very very low dense hairline if you'd only use 51 single grafts.If you'd use single and double grafts equally you should get 76-77 hairs per cm2 with 51 grafts. Now that's the amount where thinning should become obvious for people with a low hairdensity (150 hairs per cm2: just look up the density on the web) So how come some results really show dense hairlines where those people have really dense hair to begin with so above 200 hairs/cm2. I know the haircharacteristics are really important but even when the still remaining hair(and same characteristics as transplanted hair) has a density of 200 hairs per cm2 and you'd implant a hairline of 51-77 hairs per cm2 you still are below half of your native hairdensity which would make your hairline still appear thinning and balding which I guess no one wants: we all want a hairtransplant to make us look less bald or thinning. If only single grafts should be on a bald area you should need 150 single grafts? or 100 equally used single and double grafts? I've never heard about this but I do have seen very dense looking hairlines; do they use 3-4 hair grafts as well? I read alot of stories about people saying they have thin hair and only 150 hairs per cm2 in their hairline ; so I'm just wondering how you can make a hairline dense with only using only single and double grafts? Ofcourse I also know that people who are extremely balding or thinning don't need too many grafts but how about those others and still obtaining a dense hairline while having a high native density? I think it would be more easy to understand if they were talking about the donor area density measuring 150-300 hairs which is an area which has many double,triple and 4hair grafts.But even then 51 hairs per cm2 in the hairline would look very obvious compared to let's say 200 hairs per cm2 in the back of the head (donor area) or doesn't it?(after all: all those hairs have the same characteristics) I guess it's just me who can't figure it out

I think it's just your crown with hair twirling clockwise leaving you with a noticeable crown but it doesn't really show any signs of real hairloss to me. Maybe some thinning at most.You can always start a lifelong usage of minoxidil if it's bothering you in some way and think you are starting to bald in your crown area. Many people use minox preventative and hair growth beneficially so that would be your first tryout I guess.

Sorry to jump in; but when I started to do some research dr Alvi Armani seemed to be the best because I couldn't find negative posts and all of his hairlines looked great. Well I was young and naive so I didn't think about surgeons preventing negative posts about them on a public democratic forum or start suing some independent people; even own patients for not liking the result and for stating their disappointment. I was young so was attracted to those very young,low and dense hairlines but know now how ridiculous this may become; very young people who're getting all of their donor area transplanted in their hairline without any donor left for when you need them elsewhere is very unethical in the ht business. Ofcourse everyone wants to look their best and loves dense lower hairlines, but when you get a full bald head you are left with a dense hairline but no hair behind it because all of your donor has been used upfront. Also for me his prices are very unethical just my thought

I have to agree with TC17; I never went with prohair as well, but they do have a high reputation here and alot of happy patients on the dutch forum ; maybe because they are the cheapest when it comes down to Fue (since they only offer Fue ) I've also seen the results from the guy who went with Bisanga and had that open gap; which really was bothersome for me as well since it was obvious it was a big mistake chosen by the doc himself for which I can't understand any plausible answer except that the patient would have let the doc make this decision which I really doubt since no one would want a situation like that. One of dr Bisanga's staff members recently posted on the Dutch forum and so I mentioned it as well but I never got any reply about this situation so I'm very sceptical about dr Bisanga as well but I just added some clinics which do have some reputation here. As for prohair's false statements I think it's all about advertising; still many people think Fue is the scarless method and naieve people easily fall for such statements. Why I never opted for prohair myself is that they don't offer Fut; I always became worried about fue when it came down to the donor area; with fue you really thin out the donor area on purpose so if you need to have multiple surgeries with lots of grafts you can end up with a see through occipital and a full head on top; but Prohair said that the donor area with Fut equally thins out like it will do with Fue;except you won't get a long scar with the latter; for me this was an unacceptable salestalk; for me surgeons need to make people aware of the advantages and the dangers or negative points about the method and so I ended up with dr Feriduni who's really nice and honest about everything; So as for myself If I had to chose a doc in Belgium it would be Dr Devroye or dr Feriduni (both gave me the best information and honesty) But it all comes down to a personal preference and situation.

I think the number of techs isn't that big of an issue ;rather their qualifications and skills. A very skilled tech can easily perform the same amount of grafts taken by two not so skilled techs in the same time. But I think 4techs for one surgery a day is sufficient to do the trick. You also have to know if you are the only patient that day, if not than most of the time more techs will be available to make sure multiple surgeries can take place and so there will be more techs to make sure both surgeries can be done at one day without loss of precious time (cutting strip, extracting grafts, replacing grafts,etc) The amount of time grafts are out of the body tissues has to be brought to a minimum , but I recently got to know that Dr Feriduni is going to invest in a special cutting table which has a cooling system so the grafts can be out of the skin for a longer period; I think it's very beneficial ; you never know if any complications or difficulties arise during surgery or when it's baking hot outside to make sure the grafts are in the best circumstances; don't know how many surgeons actually use this kind of tables? Just got to know of them during a chat with the doc.

Just wanted to let you know Dr F doesn't charge for consultations, neither do the other hair surgeons in Belgium and most of them in the Netherlands. The waiting lists aren't long at all; normally you'd be able to have your consultation within 3 weeks, but the operation itself will have to wait for 2-3 months post consultation.

I totally don't agree with nw4; prohair does have a great reputation in Belgium,The Netherlands and outside these countries but they only perform FUE surgery and with the amount of grafts Nader supposed to get I'm not sure it'll be an option for him. Dr Feriduni does an outstanding job and certainly will be there during the surgery; He won't transplant all the grafts which I'm not sure if any surgeon does do them without the use of assistants or technicians? He will extract the grafts(fue) or will perform the strip extraction and trichoclosure ; will make the receiving holes and will transplant the first couple of hundreds then two technicians will continue this job and at he will come by every now and then to check if everything is going to plan. He will jump by to give you some more sedation when this wears off or when there's extensive bleeding so the sedation won't last long enough. When the grafts are in place he'll give it a thourough check and most of the time he will place the last hundred or so grafts using the stick and place method which he'll do by himself; sort of finishing touches. There are a bunch of well respected clinics and surgeons here as well but I haven't heard a story of people who went with prohair who were only helped by the surgeon himself. I think it's normal that in most cases and clinics ; the placement of the grafts being done by assistants or technicians; they are well educated nurses who know very well what they're doing. Every clinic will have their own portion of bad results no matter how well respected or trained the surgeon is, but the chances of a good hair transplant is higher with a reputable surgeon. I bet even dr Feller,Shapiro,H&w,... will have their not so good result patients but reading nw4's post it seems like dr Feriduni is only delivering good results when he's doing the job himself without help to show off those results as a promoting campaign. I have met most of the hair surgeons in Belgium,The Netherlands and a few in Germany but I can't say anything wrong about Dr Feriduni and he has alot of patients he will show you on his desktop. He'll find patients which had the kind of surgery you're needing or wanting to let you see the what it can do for you. I think dr Feriduni is a great surgeon and a great person.

This is a guy who has received 2917 grafts through Fue on one session with dr Feriduni. The forum is in dutch but you can see his immediate post up results on the pics which are added underneath this guy's post. No this is what the dr is striving for lately; one week ago he had given someone almost 3000 grafts in one session with FUE but he can go to 3500; depends on how many the patient needs and how his donor is allowing them to extract them. But ofcourse it takes a long time but the doc and technicians first extract half or more grafts and will place them first when all grafts are settled in ,they start the other round of extractions and will place those final grafts immediately after; the doc and his team start at 9am and the doc and 3 of his techs will stay until after 10-11 pm just to make it happen in one session; it takes some devotion but he says it makes the patient feel more comfortable knowing that it can be done in just one session. But he's trying to set the limit at 3500 fue grafts per day.

Hi bllorayne I'm not sure if there are many surgeons who perform ultra megasessions but I'm sure alot of them can perform 4000+ grafts on one day with FUT method; I know personally that dr Feriduni can go up to 4000 and more and is now also trying to get to 3500 grafts a day with the FUE method; just to make it more comfortable for the patient; ofcourse not everyone needs these amounts of grafts but I'm sure many others can perform around 4000 and more a day.

About dr Feriduni I can tell you that he only accepts 1 patient a day! There may be exceptions if he could help two people who only need like eyebrow or eyelash transplants but he will never do 2 hairtransplants a day on people who need bigger sessions. Dr F always wants to give the best result in 1 session so he is only willing to take 1 patient a day .

Hi there Italianuk I have been to this doc while being on vacation to Thailand and had planned my ht with him, I had made a consultation with this doc and he's a very friendly guy who'll listen to all your desires and wants to achieve them for you. I have met some patients of him who had a great result, although they were all thai and as we know ht with asians most of the time get a better looking result due to their hairchateristics but some of his examples he showed me of western people all looked very promising and so I was about to have my surgery although it would happen on the third last day of my trip so in the end I have cancelled it because I would not go through the airport with a swollen face: unrecogniseable which would be hard to explain also I wanted to enjoy some more partying with my thai friends on my last days there that I cancelled. But for me he seems to be a great hairsurgeon. Srry I can't say more than that.

I think they can remove your grafts in your hairline to replace them but I think a second ht with the same grafts will make them weaker but I think the main concern would be the scars which they'll leave when they'll be extracted out of (what is now) your hairline, so you could end up with a higher hairline and scars in front of it, not sure if that's a risk you'll be willing to take? Even with older men you can divide your face in thirds and if that would mean 6 cm in your case then that hairline should suite you, but maybe if you are a good candidate and are willing to get a more invasive procedure, it could be a possibility to get a reduction extender treatment? So actually you want to save those grafts of your hairline, else it would be easy and just get it lasered but if you want to re-use them it's something different.

Some say it will also decrease while others say it doesn't. The people who say it does: say thatby removing the skin and suturing the skin back together will stretch the skin back to it's normal position; so you won't get a higher neckline but due to this stretching the skin to enlarge it back to it's normal size; the grafts(and it's hairs) will be seperated over a bigger area which results in less grafts/cm^2 , while the others say that the skin won't stretch back to it's normal size and often will leave you with a higher neckline so the density in the donor area will remain almost equal prior to surgery? I'm not sure what the real fact is about this, hope someone can give some information about this or can refer me to some other thread if any available?

Hi Bash77 In case for prices at Feriduni's ; you just have to look at costs and finances at his hairdocs website where you'll find the prices. I'd also like to say that he's always striving to give you more than what you've paid for or what has been estimated. On the Dutch fora , they said that 5 out of 10 will receive more ,4 will receive the estimated number and 1 will get slightly less but will get a refund if that would be the case. He'll always asks the patients to do the scalp exercise stuff so the chances in getting a higher number and better looking scar when you go for Fus when you go for fue you'll get what you pay for. Ofcourse when there are more grafts being placed than what you've paid for ; you won't have to pay more. You do need to count ?‚¬500 for anaesthetics and medical costs at the price for the grafts. he price per graft used for FUE is ?‚¬3.95 or about ??3.4.
