He's an FUT focused doctor, that's why you don't see much reviews from actual patients because the consumer prefers the FUE method now, i even heard someone refer to FUT as "ancient" lol. I had my transplant with him 5 weeks ago. His clinic is state of the art. All from the building to the staff to the equipment. I can't speak for my results yet though.

I had pimple with pus all over after my first day too. Doctor popped it and recommended me to do the same with a cotton bud.

There really is no point in worrying now. There's no way to know how it's gonna look because you also have to factor in your hair caliber, how big the area of the transplant is and graft placement in it. I've seen thin results from 2700 graft hairline transplants, ive also seen amazing visual changes with 1500 graft hair transplants, we will just have to wait for actual results before we worry. I personally think you have thicker caliber hair that can probably achieve a good visual density.

That pre op picture is deceiving, the whole top of my head is noticably thinner than my donor area, especially the crown. Which i assume will be significantly thin, in my late 30s. And my hair caliber is thin.

Based on my research, 31 is relatively young. By starting with an FUT procedure, I would have a higher number of grafts that's available to me that I would likely need for future ht's, i can even take multiple strips if i have the laxity for it before i even start thinking about an FUE. @Rafael Manelli

I had my surgery exactly one month from today and this is how it is looking, I had a buzz cut just recently to match the hair transplant length. Here are some pre op pics from the clinic. And here are some immediate post op photos He designed the hairline exactly how i wanted it. He decided to put some grafts in between existing hairs that he decided were minituirized, we lowered the sides but not the entire hairline, we also made some revisions to the temple points. I'd say I've shed 50 or 60 percent of the transplanted hair, most of the shed happened on day 14 and then much more gradual after that. I was also noticing a lot more hair in the shower during that one month period, either from shock loss or from minoxidil shed (started oral min immediately post op, on finasteride for 8 months before pre op) Now for my experience with DHT Clinic. it was a very professional atmosphere but extremely friendly and caring at the same time, Dr. Path had a huge team, he did the incisions and the strip and the other 2 doctors did the implanting while he got in and out of the room. All the other nurses helped with other parts of the procedure. The head nurse finished up the surgery, implanting more grafts near the end. (The head nurse has been with doctor path since the very beginning, so, 25 years give or take. I would have been okay if she did my entire procedure to be honest, 25 years of experience with dr. Path makes her better than a lot of doctors if you ask me.) The actual surgery i think took 9 hours. According to Dr. Path, the reason it took this long was because i was a bleeder, and that very reason as well made the actual surgery very unpleasant for me, the bleeding kept on pushing out the anaesthesia (according to the head nurse) so i always complained about pain so they would inject more and it wouldn't hurt for like 30 minutes but would start hurting again and this scenario kept happening for the entirety of the procedure. Just to be clear I don't blame them for any of the unpleasantness. As for the yield, i forgot to take a picture of the board where all the information was but one detail that i wouldn't forget, and Dr. Path talked to me about this, they got like 120 minituirized grafts from the strip. (Out of 2700) i guess i was thinning all over my scalp but it wasn't really noticeable with long hair, still i think they implanted those grafts and dr. Path hoped that oral min would help thicken them up. There's really nothing to be said about results for now but I'm hoping for the best. Thank you everyone for the help with this decision, I haven't been exactly nice to everyone in this community but all of us really are after one thing, a natural hairstyle that we can be happy with and I legitimately want everyone to have that. I've heard an Australian doctor from YouTube say there is enough bloodflow in scars to be able to do hair transplants. And I've seen burn victims have hair transplants as well (on the internet). That's about the extent of my knowledge though.

Any chance you can post more post op and pre op comparisons? From your first ht?

Do you notice any difference from your pre op? I personally don't see much difference based on 1 pre op pic.

Doxycycline helps with that a lot. See if you can get that without a prescription.

I wouldn't mind some busty work too if i say so myself. Anyway goodluck with this journey, i hope everything works well for you.

Do you have dandruff too if you don't use products? I'm prone to like huge, huge pimples that hurt and has puss in them sometimes or just really big and red. Do you have those as well?

I'm pretty sure have lpp as well, i have significant sideburn thinning, I've had chronically itchy scalp since i can remember and... I just had a 2700 graft hair transplant, I'm pretty much screwed now. I am taking doxycycline though which I've read just now, helps with lpp, (I'm taking it for pimples for the scalp.). Basically i just have trash genetics when it comes to hair. I'm from the Philippines which I'm not even sure doctors know what a biopsy means here so, there's no hope in officially diagnosing this thing. Can you share what you're regiment is that could probably potentially help me or others that might suspect have this condition?

I'm on day 6 today, my surgeon tells me to not rub it until day 7, and i can use whatever product i want, what do you recommend? Edit: I don't know why the photo is upside down, sorry about that

Yes the pressure was on the recipient site, 2 areas specifically, I don't really know for sure if it's because of popping or what, i was just assuming. Thanks for the reply.

Anybody else had experienced this where the surgeon puts pressure on your scalp while doing the placement to put let the grafts stay in place? I assume this was because of popping since they said i was a bleeder. It just worries me that they may have traumatized the graft and lessen the chance of it surviving and growing.

I finally pulled the trigger and had my procedure 2 days ago (from a recommended doctor in this site). He said I had a lot of pimple in my donor area and recipient area, anyone here who had a similar experience? How are your results? He did give me some medicines after for those pimples. I'll start a thread of my experience after 4 to 6 months when the growth is supposed to happen.
