4 Month update -So 4 months have quickly passed and time for an update.As I mentioned in my 3 month posted, I had definitely noticed signs of growth.I think it’s fair to say I have had a good amount of growth since.Lots of singles in my hairline came through with one area in particular coming very thick and fast. If the rest of my hairline comes through with the same density I will be very happy.Some areas are a bit behind other areas with the furthest areas of my temples being the thinnest but it seem to be slowly thicken up as each week passes. I was thinking that perhaps singles come through first but as Ian from BHR pointed out - it’s more of a percentage.Lots more singles at a higher density are packed in the hairline.If I would have let my hair grow then it probably would have a better illusion of density at this point but I was happy to keep it short and only leave it to grow once I started to see growth. I went to the barbers yesterday for my first trim since the procedure. I only had short back and side and totally left the top but I had a nice smile on my face looking in the mirror at my new hairline coming in.The last time I sat in the barbers chair and he lifted my fringe was a horrible feeling to see how far back I had receded.I would love to hear your thoughts.

@Melvin- Moderator I agree - this was a thread to show the positive effect I have had from minoxidil with no side effects. I think @didu911 should respectfully put his experience on a separate thread.

I have a separate thread on the forum for my procedure with Dr Bisanga 3 months ago, however I thought I would post a thread regarding my experience with oral minoxidil. At consultation Dr Bisanga recommend I took oral minoxidil - I started on 2.5 mg - 3 months later I went for my procedure and I upped the dosage to 5 mg. Although the before and after pictures are at slightly different angles my crown and top of my head are most definitely seeing a big improvement. I am also 3 months into my procedure and growth has started. Fingers crossed it continues to do so 🤞

To add to my 3 months update… As advised by Dr Bisanga I went on oral minoxidil a couple of months before my procedure. although the pics are at slightly different angles I though I would post pics showing my crown before my procedure and how it looks today. There is no doubt I have responded well. My wife started to tell me about 6 weeks ago that my hair was thickening on top and crown .

I think we would all love to hang on to as many grafts as possible but a you say you’ve just got to trust the process ! I look forward to seeing your update 👍

@Hairlinedreamer thanks for the comment. I am following your thread, your work looks great. Did you continue to shed or hold on to them grafts ? I am definitely seeing improvement on my crown from the minoxidil 👍

@Melvin- Moderator is doing a live podcast with Dr Bisanga tomorrow. I believe this is one of the questions that will be asked. i can see very fine hairs popping through each day so fingers crossed they continue and I get a good result.

3 month update… Exactly 3 months today since my procedure. The redness has gone and although it’s early days growth has slowly started. As you can see from my 2 month update there is a difference. There are also hairs that can’t be seen on the photo… if I look at my head at an angle under a bright bathroom light then I can see very fine hairs which are coming through. it’s a bit patchy with some area showing growth and others areas not yet started but at only 3 months I would say I’m on my way ? on another note the oral minoxidil has most definitely thickened up my native hair. I would like to hear opinions ?

I went for consultations in the uk of which some I paid for. I then had a free consultation with Dr Bisanga and it was head and shoulders above any of the others I had.
