What are peoples thoughts on Tea Tree Shampoo? My barber told me I should use it for dryness and for balding but idk

Shampoos do not help with preventing baldness. You can use a mild shampoo like Dove for cleaning your hair.

  2. The initial growth can be frizzy. This could also make the angles seem not right. Over time, the transplanted hair will settle down and assume the normal texture of your natural hair. Regarding the hairline and other issues, thank you for sharing them. As discussed with you, we will definitely look into any further rectification as per your directions. Rest assured, we are right here for you. Wish you a wonderful growth ahead.

  3. The best thing to do is to ask the clinic to provide you the reference of the patient whose pictures have been put up. Most patients who are willing to share their pictures are also willing to give their contact details so that they can speak with the concerned individuals. You can look at pictures posted but verification and proper research is of utmost importance when it comes to choosing a hair transplant center.

Here is my experience at Eugenix:

    • 31 years old, been progressively losing hair since early 20’s. Went on finasteride 1.25mg daily (Proscar cut in 4) since 1 year. Been lurking here for 2 years where I found this clinic.

    • Had zoom call with Eugenix and Dr. Das which we estimated I needed 3700 grafts (2700 hairline/temple, 1000 crown).

    • Booked for February had to change to March due to visa issue. Originally was to be in Mumbai due to her being there that week however they ask me to change to Delhi last minute which was not feasible due to tickets being already booked. They accommodate and Dr. Das flew to Mumbai.

    • Exclusive Package at 120rs +18% tax. I booked several weeks after Dr. Arika was not included in the exclusive package anymore. Dr. Das had been promoted to the exclusive package given almost 6 years of experience with Eugenix. I had selected her based on reviews I had seen.

    • Visa was a pain to get as a Canadian given covid and the slow process speed of BLS international.

    • Eugenix has a corporate rate for the hotel which is about 50% less than Expedia. About 6000rs including tax and breakfast for a 5 stars hotel, well worth it.

    • They feed you whatever you want at the clinic which is delicious

    • Downloaded a food order app to order food as needed during my stay and downloaded a FX transfer app to pay for the surgery to save exchange rates and credit card charges.

    Day 1

    • Got at clinic at 1pm and we did blood pressure test and tested the anastasia for allergies

    • Proceeded to draw the hairline with Dr. Das. It was as I had imagined so I didnt have much changes to do. To be noted I have like 10 hair (litteraly, see the pictures) below the hairline in the front. Putting the hairline lower would not have made sense and I wanted a conservative design that is dense.

    • Shaved the areas where she would be operating

    • Proceeded to pay for the procedure which was 3500 grafts vs. the 3700 estimated earlier.

    • Proceeded to get the slits done by Dr. Das. This took maybe a couple hours and we finished with 3550 grafts. She was diligent in her slits and once done we applied the ink and we would be ready for tomorrow at 9am.

    • She reassured me that slits could stay open for several days and it would make a clean job

    Day 2:

    • Got there at 9 am and started surgery right away.

    • As explained in other reviews the tech are pros at their jobs and are super efficient and clearly know what they are doing with each of them having at least 5 years of experience.

    • The girl giving the anastasia was the nicest, always asking if I felt pain and injecting as needed to numb the area being worked on.

    • Dr. Das was there the whole time to supervise the surgery. Dr Sethi even came in a couple times to see how things were going so that was reassuring.

    • We finished at around 7pm and had maybe a 15 minutes-20 minutes break for lunch which was perfect with me.

    • 3550 graft: Approximately 900 crown, 2200 hairline, 400 temples

    • Took pictures post surgery and was given a package to take care of the hair and medication and then I went out with Dr. Sethi and the team as well as another patient.

Got to spend several days with Dr. Sethi since he was in Mumbai but he is mainly in Delhi so this was a good coincidence. One thing for sure is that Dr. Sethi eats, drinks, sleep (not much) hair. I have never seen an individual so dedicated to his craft. Be it patients, surgery, hospitality, staff, etc. Met several of his clients and all of them are 100% satisfied with Eugenix which helped make me feel good about my choice.

Alright everyone so the moment of truth came and went. First let me just say that getting a HT is EXHAUSTING. I had an idea of what to expect but nothing can really prepare you for one until you actually go through it. Now on to the details…

My day started with me waking up super early at 7:30am so that I could mentally get into a proper headspace and also to take advantage of the free hotel breakfast buffet 😂 I’m staying at the Hilton Doubletree which is literally 5 min down the road from Eugenix. It’s a 5 star hotel and the cost is 4000 INR per night (about $50 US). In May 2021 I originally booked the premium package because I wanted Dr. Bansal’s involvement with the planning, extraction and implanting. However, 2-3 days before my procedure I was having car issues and desperately needed to get those addressed. That ended up having a ripple effect on my HT budget and so I asked if I could be downgraded to the exclusive package. Even though it was super short notice and I was afraid I would have to postpone my procedure Eugenix was able to get me in on the same date 3/24 with Dr. Priya. As a complimentary service I was offered Dr. Bansal’s involvement with the hairline planning and designing since I was traveling from so far away and had to cancel my package last minute.

My procedure was scheduled for 10:30am and I was told to eat a big breakfast. Eugenix recommends this because they don’t want anyone taking all the pre op medications (anti acid, pain killer, pro biotic) on an empty stomach and because lunch won’t be served until much later in the day. After eating breakfast my driver arrived at 10:15am and took me to the clinic. Upon arriving at the clinic I had to take a blood test for the PRP and was instructed to take the pre op pills I mentioned above. Before getting a chance to do that though I ran into Dr. Bansal and I don’t know why but it felt like I was meeting a celebrity 😂 I think it’s because I’ve seen her and Dr. Sethi so much online that they’ve almost become legends within the HT world. I also caught a peak of Dr. Sethi too. Anyways, Dr. Bansal spent a few min chatting with me and designing my hairline. We settled on something very fitting for my face and something that would age gracefully. I didn’t get my temples drawn during this process though. When Dr Bansal brought it up and asked if we were doing temple work I shot back a question at her and asked what she thought. To my surprise she and I were on the same page and didn’t think we needed to do the temples because currently mine look just fine. I also wanted to ask about getting grafts placed in my crown. Based on my pictures above in this post you can see that my crown is thinning. With 1800-2000 estimated for the hairline I was hoping we could overshoot for like 24-2500 and use those additional grafts in the crown. After inspecting my crown Dr Bansal said my crown is indeed thinning but not to the point where I would be a good candidate for that area 😔 While I was bummed out I did appreciate her honesty and transparency. She said I’d benefit from oral Finasteride or topical Finasteride combined with low dose Finasteride. I intentionally avoid oral fin cuz I don’t want anything that alters my hormone profile but I have been curious about topical Finasteride.

Once we decided on a design I changed into my scrubs and was taken to get my precious hair all trimmed off 🥲 I had been growing my hair for a while and to see it all come off in a matter of a few minutes was so dejecting. But I had to remind myself the end result would be worth it. After the trim they took a few photos and then ushered me to the sink to wash my scalp. The head wash was refreshing and was the last step before entering the operating room. I was so nervous at this point but the nurse in charge was very reassuring and calm. She really put me at ease. I was given the local anesthesia before Dr Priya entered the room to do the slits. Pain was very minimal throughout the entire HT. After she made the slits the techs started the donor extraction. This part took several hours. If I remember correctly I wanna say they extracted 800-1000 grafts by lunch time. They really do work efficiently and kind of like an assembly line. Everyone knows their role and does it exceptionally.

We broke for lunch which was fire (butter chicken and naan). I’m Punjabi and so butter chicken is like kryptonite to us. Once I finished eating it was back to the operating table where the techs finished the extraction. They were able to get 1800 and wanted to see if that would be enough. After the extraction the implantation process began and this is where I started to feel a little pain because I think the local anesthetic started to wear off. It wasn’t an excruciating pain, just a burning sensation. The techs placed all 1800 grafts in the frontal area before Dr Bansal entered the room and redrew the hairline on my head. Its nice to see her involved with everyone’s procedure even though she has a million things going on at once. Dr Priya mentioned that the 1800 was a little short of the slits she made and so the techs flipped me over again to extract an additional 200. Took another hour or so to do that and before we knew it was 8pm and I was super tired.

Upon seeing the final result I was super ecstatic. I was nervous to see how I’d look with short hair again but the view point I have now is giving me a sample of what I could look like in a few months with a rejuvenated hairline and I’m getting excited about it! I don’t plan on getting any other HTs in the future but nonetheless wanted to find out from Dr Priya what she thought of my donor area. She said “the donor is beautiful and we were able to get a lot of 2s and 3s to help with density.” Thanks doc 😁

Afterwards I got one final trim to make sure everything was even and then given a bunch of post op instructions to follow over the next few days. It’s def a lot to keep track of but with me being in Delhi for 2 more days the eugenix team is going to help me stay on top of the regimen before I leave. I’ll be going in tomorrow and Saturday to get my donor cleaned by them.

Overall it was a great experience and I’m very thankful to the eugenix team. I know the coming days and months will be tough but the end result on the other side of the rainbow will be worth it. I hope to share my results on this thread as I progress through the healing process. Attached are post op pics of the donor and transplanted areas.

    In desperate need of advice

Back in 2018 when I had severe hairfall I desperately went to a surgeon in Pakistan to get a hair transplant without doing proper research and the transplant ofcourse failed and over harvested my donor area. They supposedly told me they took 2500 graft but I think it was more than that.  Fast forward to now I’m losing my hair again in the mid scalp and crown and going into deep depression b/c of that so much so that it is affecting my daily life. I want to get another transplant to cover as much of my scalp as possible, but I’m not sure if I have enough donor left. Looking at the pictures can someone please tell me if:

1- should I wait till my thinning is more progressed before getting a 2nd transplant
2- Do I have enough donor left to do another transplant including beard and chest hair?
3- how many grafts do you think it will take to cover the entire area with medium density?
4- I’m saving every penny to get this botched job fix, which surgeon would you suggest in turkey for a person with limited budget.

All the pictures below are recent and after my transplant some with buzz cut some with grown hair.

1- should I wait till my thinning is more progressed before getting a 2nd transplant

Ans: You should take finasteride to prevent any further progression of baldness. You should try to save as much hair as possible with the use of finasteride regardless of a second transplant or not.

2- Do I have enough donor left to do another transplant including beard and chest hair?

Ans: You seem to have sufficient donor left for the transplantation procedure. Your donor in the back scalp and sides of the scalp seem more than enough.

3- how many grafts do you think it will take to cover the entire area with medium density?

Ans: You would require around 2000 to 2500 grafts approximately for the entire coverage.

Hello, ive been noticing general thinning especially on crown for 7 months i dont know if the reason is genetic

i have seborrheic dermatitis which was severe and itchy and now it is milder

is the hair near my neck (the one with the red circles) normal in genetic mpb or it may confirm that my hair loss is generally pathological or for other reasons?

It is difficult to comment without looking at before and after pictures. I would advise to consult the doctor at earliest and get the pictures documented to evaluate the progress.

    Hey guys,

I’m getting an ht soon and I was looking for a good spray for healing, so far I haven’t found anything good besides the (haircycle spray) I’m also looking at any kind of product that could accelerate healing and growth so any suggestions are welcome.

It will only be a small touch up but gotta go back to work after a month.

    Thanks!

To say the truth, you do not need anything other than saline spray. The spray will be more than sufficient. I didn't use anything other than that while in the healing period. Other than that I used antibiotics and antacids.

My 21 days update. All the pictures were taken today. All the pictures were taken with flash turned on.

Depending on the angle and closeness it's looking differently. I'm not really sure whether shedding started or not. But I noticed a lot of pores on my scalp that looked like slits of HT. I appreciate your opinion on it. I will post prior week's pictures as well if they help. Please let me know.

I'm using Finasteride as well as Hair Fact Vitamins.

The shedding has started. They are not unattended pores but areas where the hair have started shedding. Please do not worry. Over time you shall observe growth from them also. I had rhe same thing when my ht was done.

    Hi guys,

35 years old and I suspect I have low T.. generally always tired and libido really low these days

I obviously am here because I want to have a HT, but I also want to fix my low T (if it's actually low). Literally just ordered my blood tests to find out what's going on.

I am not on any medication like Finasteride or anything like that because I'm worried about obvious side effects. I weight train and play sports regularly, get sunlight in the morning, and eat pretty well. The only thing I really have yet to conquer is sleep as I always wake up throughout the night, which I'm sure impacts my T levels.

If I do go down the TRT route, how do I avoid potential hair loss problems? Would finasteride be the answer?

I also have a VERY small case of gyno which has been there since I hit puberty, which is another reason I'm reluctant to go on Fin. I don't want that to become a bigger issue.

Any advice would be great, thanks

    Hello @Aslitarcan sucks,

Do checkout the link below for the hairline. It is better to consult a doctor and start medication so that a qualified physician can guide you throughout and allay the apprehension of Finasteride.

  12. Finasteride arrests hairfall all over. However, it has been noticed in a few cases that the results of Finasteride in the crown are much better. Do checkout the temple recreation @Eugenix Hair Sciences in the link below.

Because Fina has sides and you basiscally have a full head of hair. Finansteride works best in the middle and the crown. in a lot of cases  it does not even work for temples recession.

And based on my experience. Temples started to recede at age 23. At 40 I still only have temples recession, like NW2,5. And I never took Fin
