  1. Been watching a podcast recently with Tristan tate. He’s openly said that he’s had a hair transplant and think his results are brilliant.

any ideas on who he may of went to for the procedure? His hairline is soft AF and awesome density.

with him being in Romania it could be possible he went to a eastern euro doctor but still yet to hear who he went to since he’s public with it.

    cheers lads

    Prices (hairtransplantation.bg)

You can now get consulation off schedule so basically jump ahead of queue for €900

    €500 for a consult now

I paid 50 euro for my consult in March. Still €5 per graft though.

Insane prices for a consult now but the demand is crazy

Hopefully he trains some new surgeons at lower prices for people. He has a few surgery rooms so that seems to be the plan

Had contact with Zarev in December of 2021. I put my case forward to him and he seemed impressed in what I presented.

unfortunately I never heard back from him after trying for 2 years prior before contact. So yeah I guess he’s extremely busy but always a reason for outstanding results

I don’t know if there could be anything bloodless. But I believe he’s getting a patent for his tool. I’m excited to see how it will change the industry.

As he mentioned he uses a (AVA) Vacuum assisted FUE tool, I would like to know how his own tool compares to the NeoGraft. I do wonder if he used the “NeoGraft” but modified it to the way he likes to perform his surgeries.

either way, he does a cracking job at what he does

I’m gonna be doing a podcast with Dr. Zarev later this month. Hopefully, we’ll learn a bit more about his technique.

Sounds good can’t wait to see your pod with him. Do you think his approach to having bloodless donor and recipient will encourage better growth and healing or just pure surgery aesthetics? I only ask as even with some FUE procedures done by other great doctors has some degree of trauma at the recipient site which I feel would affect the growth and healing process. In Zarevs procedures, the trauma is such minimal on the recipient area it’s truly unbelievable.

what would you be thoughts on this? Maybe worth asking if it has any sort of value but still learning from patients who have had a transplant.

    cheers Melvin much appreciated

  5. Hi lads, so I’ve always wondered since discovering Dr Zarev 3 years ago now and I am extremely interested in how he manages to have a super clean and no bleeding donor and recipient sites on his patients. Even with some of the top hair transplant surgeons, I still have never seen how clean and neat the whole surgery has been carried out compared to Zarev. Would anyone be able to explain to me how Zarev makes the recipient and donor area blood free and making it look this neat. This is just out of pure curiosity and how this is even achievable.

    thanks

Sorry for going missing - hadn’t forgotten about updating my thread/wasn’t going to just disappear.

Just been really busy and to be honest I don’t really think about my hair much anymore and haven’t spent much time on here as a result!

Full disclaimer - I will have a little bit of residue of concealer (toppik spray) on my transplanted area in these pics… not freshly applied or anything but I hadn’t shampooed my hair since putting some on the day before. This certainly will be making it look a bit thicker than it is in reality, plus the photos aren’t the best lighting wise etc I know. Just a disclaimer!

Apologies - I will come back and post better quality photos with freshly washed hair soon, but for now this is just a quick way to give you guys an idea of how it’s turned out (albeit a bit better than it is in a completely natural state…)

i’m pretty happy with it, I’ve sort of forgotten about hair loss now and all of my issues with it. Definitely changed my life, but I think I will need a small touch up at some point to be 100% happy, just to add some density. I currently spray my hair very lightly with a bit of toppik spray every other day or so (which usually stays on enough for a wash or two inbetween) and this makes it look pretty much as good as I could ask for.

I only use a little, mainly to just paint the scalp a little for the appearance of density, maybe 2 seconds of spray each side and I’m done.

This is truly an amazing result!

Super stoked for you buddy congrats!

Interesting. I have heard that cortisol levels increase for long operations. I've noticed most ethical/good surgeons perform like 2,000 to 2,500 grafts max FUE on a single day. One of the surgeons I consulted with told me he stopped doing higher graft cases in a single day because a patient had a seizure (this was done by another surgeon and he thought higher cortisol levels contributed to the seizure). This is why I'm so leery of a lot of Turkish clinics that do mega-sessions in one sitting.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6587638/#:~:text=However%2C cortisol levels increase in,secretion markedly increases after surgery.&text=Surgery and trauma can also affect the circadian rhythm of cortisol.

I totally understood why he would do this. I was wondering if the patient would be a little exhausted from more than 2 days of being operated on however I’ve not come across anyone with this experience before

  8. Hi everyone,

just wanted to get some feelers out there to see if anyone has been to either of these doctors before for a hair transplant.

i have had a consultation with both doctors and im torn between the decision on who to go to.

my main pointers here are the duration and attention to detail from the surgery.

Dr Couto: I have met with Dr couto and he has said the surgery will take 2-3 days for around 2500 grafts. has anyone had any experience with this length of surgery and how did you cope with this?

both have great results on their socials however im stuck for choice at this point.

i am leaning a little towards Dr Pinto however if anyone who has had experience with either or doctor please let me know so i can finally lock in my lengthy decision.

    thank you.

  9. Good Afternoon lads.

just come on here to say im scheduled a consultation with Dr Couto in June to finally restore my hair.

i am wondering has there been any person on this forum who has had a transplant with himself?

i have really enjoyed his work however they are mainly just results posted by the clinic and would like to see real patient results from the work he does.

any info would be great to hear.

    thanks guys.

5 months and a week update:

pretty happy with where things are up to, it looks full in certain lights and lacks density in others, but I’ve just been using a little bit of toppik spray as concealer which makes it look pretty good in any situation and takes me 30 secs to apply after a shower.

Hopefully in another 5 months I won’t need to do so anymore, but I think it’s possible I’ll need a very small touch up to be completely happy as my hair is very fine, but it’s far too early to tell at this stage.

The first 5 pictures are my hair completely soaked/dripping wet out of the shower and combed back, the 6th is damp but nearly dry again just combed back and the rest are my hair dry in the same room but some are right by the window with the light shining directly on my head, so as harsh and can be, with some a few steps back and as you can see it looks much fuller.

Trying to be as transparent as possible and show the realities of how it looks in different situations. It’s easy to make it look great or pretty awful depending on how the picture is taken.

Hi mate - yeah things are coming along well, things are thickening up and looking pretty good. I think by month 6 I'll be pretty satisfied. To be honest, I'm already satisfied in that I can style my hair and it looks really good already and I pretty much have already forgotten about my hair troubles now.

I generally just use a bit (a very small amount) of Toppik spray about half a cm behind the hairline at the moment when I go out and it looks pretty much like a full result now. I'll post a detailed update at the 5 month mark to show where things are at. Still a little way to go, but I'm pretty much sure it's smooth sailing from here.

That’s awesome buddy super stoked for you! Can’t wait for when you have your update photos! Enjoy your results buddy
