  1. Hi everyone! will be updating my thread soon with 5 month post op pics! i hope you guys like them!
  2. For anyone considering an HT and your in london,, TAKE ADVANTAGE of this! serously, before i had surgery with dr. rahal i would have loved to had consultation with him. and you cant get better then free.. - 3500 grafts Dr. Rahal 5 months post op
  3. Hey guys! thanks so much for the comments. Please NOTE i did have hair before my surgery. But i think the amazing job that Dr. Rahal did with my hairline and the little hairs coming in which give it that depth so its not as "see thru" as before i think really helps. now i really wanted to wait till 6 months to post my 6 months results. AND I HATE FOR ANYONE to see these pictures and think that hey i dont have nearly as much hair as this guy at 3 months. remember. 3 months is way to early.. another thing id like to add is although A LOT and i mean A LOT of transplanted hairs fell out it seems to me SOME did stick around. i think that, plus the combination of my own natural hair recovering from hair shock, plus the little hairs coming in giving it the less see thru look has given me nice results so far. My june pictures im hoping to including wet hair thats combed back to get a much clearer results.
  4. Well im not wearing a wig if thats what you mean, in fact the pictures were taken RIGHT after a shower, so i have no products, toppik, anything that would alter the way it looks! haha.. But please consider that i wasnt a norwood 7 when i started out as well. Ill post a pic of my post op as well so you can get a good idea of the amont of hair i had before surgery as well for a better comparison! Day of surgery
  5. As you can see also from the first picture theres tiny little red bumps. Those are pimples! that and the red/pink skin has all cleared up now.
  6. Hey guys i just wanted to share my little over 3 month post up picture. 3 months is to early to show real great progress as i have a long way to go but thought id be great to show my 1 month picture vs my 3 month picture to see the growth natural and planted. thanks! First picture is my 1st month picture 2nd picture is my 3 month and 20 days picture. third picture is 5 monthsThanks! 3 1/2 month picture My 5 month picture (below)! Wet right out of the shower.. i mean literally out of the shower i was drying my hair with a towl so it wouldnt drip water all over the place. 7. David My dconcern comes from the fact that you arent having surgery with Dr. Rahal. Egos aside and i think a few were hurt in this whole manner. THE MOST important thing to me is you get great results after what you been thru with your last surgeon. You need to make sure that you go to a great. I ask you this. Remember everything you went thru with your last surgery? the pain, medicaation, waiting.. only not to get good results? wouldnt going to a great surgeon who can give you great results worth it if it means having scabs for a a week or 10 days longer? what i mean is the short term sacrafice i believe is worth the long term investment! and you couldnt choose a better doctor then Rahal. I wish you the best!
  8. ""But in this instance I feel they've acted unethically "" David in your first post you accuse dr. rahal of acting unethically. Remember david, that post was long before Adrian or anyone mentioned any type of legal action. As it was your first post you start off questioning a mans character. I have a lot of sympthaty for you because going thru an HT is no easy thing. Money or healing wise. it takes time and you do go thru some rough patches. The fact that you already had a bad experience with one doctor i think really has left a sour taste in your mouth. I dont blame you for being cauatious. but please consider, that doctors are humans too. cosmetic surgeons reputation is very important and doctors spend a lot of time and effort and resources to have a great reputation online by doing the best they can. I think we can all admit Dr. Rahal routinely does good work. When you start off the bat in your title then in your post accusing someone of basically being a lie and a cheat. you have to remember that person can become defense and sensitive. Esp if they arent those things as i think a lot of poeple know Dr. Rahal isnt. And i think thats where the comment about the legal action took place which honestly doesnt serve anyone well. i wish a good solution can come out of this and i truely wish for you to have a great set of hair!
  9. David I think i read your struggles with the previous doctor and im really sorry the crap you had to go thru. I know when i got my hair transplant and for the record mine was with dr. rahal i went thru a period where i also thought was this worth it? Boy when the pimples come in and your hair looks thinner then ever the first few months you question ahh man " am i the unlucky one" but what i did was read up as much as i could , and realized a lot of it was normal and i just had to be patient. and GUESS WHAT! my 3 month mark is coming up and i see little tiny hairs ALL over the place.. its so exciting watching these little new hairs grow. AND since my hair has grown out a bit my scar has become completely unnoticeable. I know with your experience with the Uk doctor? you feel a lot of frustration and anger. Maybe booking on short notice was a bit hasty and certainly anyone who went thru what you did feels a bit or a lot bit disappointed,. with the WHOLE HT experience. i think certainly asking for your money back or bringing it up is something you have every right to do. BUT please consider your post title. i dont mean your post content but your title. Your questioning Dr. Rahals ethics RIGHT off the bat in the title. Many people might not even read the post you wrote might not have an idea what the details are.. but see the words Dr. Rahals name money and ethics and automatically people will start thinking bad things. i certainly dont think Dr. Rahal has any intention of suing you and any patient iv talked to and including me always has great things to say abotu Dr. Rahal. and not just his personality but his work as well. I ask that cooler heads previal.. stop the rush to judgement and see what kind of comprise you guys can come to. Also David please do take into consideration how difficult it is for a surgeon to book things on short notice... pay the techs ... not take any business that day to accomdate the person having surgery and then have that person cancel. I think you would agree that lots of places have cancellation fees. Especialy cosmetic surgery type of clinics. instead of rush to blame. I think it would be prudent to find a good solution so that everone is happy.
  10. Kathie from my understanding its actaully good news! it means theres activity under the skin and new hair is trying come thru. with my case i diffenetly have more then a "few" and i was worried with wearing an old hat i might have given my self folliitieses or whatever its called. generally speaking however , pimples in the transplanted area is a good sign!
  11. Hey guys im about 6 weeks post up and i have pimples in the transplanted area. I think its due to the hat that iv been wearing which isnt very clean. the pimples are sore some are under the skin type of pimples the others are white head type of pimples but theres diff more then 10-12 spread out over the entire area. its not terrible but im thinking the poures are getting plugged from the dirt from the hat and im gonna stop wearing the hat. Question is what better hygiene product can i use on it to really keep the area clean? should i use a special kind of soap? shampoo? im gonna wash the area 1-2 twice a day with soap and shampoo to make sure its nice and clean and then use a hot compress to draw out the pimples. any other suggestions are welcome. will these pimples damage my transplanted hair follicules?
  12. im just at the waiting stage at this point. Im almost at the 1 month post up and most of the transplanted hairs have fallen out. I guess this is the ugly duckling part of the process. Im keeping good faith and im excited about a new hairline. JULY will be my 8th month mark and i will diff get better camera to document my experience and results. If any one has any questions about my procedure with Dr, Rahal or experience. Feel free to pm me.
  13. THis is my 3 week post up pic of my 3500 grafts in my frontal area.. as you can see DR. Rahal has created an amazing hairline. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  14. KFlynn Hey bud, i had 3500 graft procedure with Dr. Rahal and had the same experience. im with you im gonna shave my head as well and let it all grow in. Happy healing to the both of us! im really happy i chose Dr. Rahal and it seems like you did as well.
  15. before picture http://img413.imageshack.us/img413/5534/pre61.jpg after pic few days post up http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/5295/img0221dag.jpg
  16. i shoudl note there havent been ANY kind of bleeding when any of the hairs came off with the scabs. so no bleeding.. the little bit of blood there was is dried up from the surgery. i just feel stupid putting to much vitamine E and having it dry up with the scab edited to add. Ahhh.. just found the post of instructions from doctor rahal. just for anyone who missed my other thread i had 3500 grafts done by him and i couldnt be happier and excited to see the hairs grow in. ill be keeping a blog but otherwise here are the instructions he gave which basically answers my questions. Grafts must be kept moist at all times with the Vitamin E. Do not pick at crusts – they will fall off in 2-3 weeks “Valleys” after one week, in some cases, there will be clumping of the hair which gives the appearance of valleys with no hair. This is typical and your hair will go back to normal. After 10 days the hair will begin shedding, often attached to a crust, which is normal. No touching the recipient area for two weeks. You may use a bandana or loose cap after 2-3 days to cover the front area as long as it does not touch the grafted area. No laser combs.
  17. Hi guys im 8 days post up and feeling really good. no pain or discomport at all just the back of my head is a little bit sore to touch and numb otherwise feeling great. Iv been pouring Vitamine E on my reciepent area usually at night.. but by morning the vitamine E oil has hardened around my scabs.. as my scabs have been coming off theres a line a formed on my head where the scabs came off and it looks "bare" and im really scared when the scabs came off it took out the graphs with it. i did read that by the 8th day its follicale is deep in there and that if hairs come out with scabs its okay but im just being cautious. im including a pic. as you can see the line right above my forehead http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/2474/img0230v.jpg 3500 grafts by dr. rahal (look at that hairline he created !! its like im 17 agian lol i love it)
  18. Hi everyone! i started losing my hair at around 21. It wasnt terrible and the last few years toppik has carried me well. a life saver, although i coudl tell girlfriends iv been with knew that i was putting "stuff" in my hair.. but i pertended no one noticed lol. Iv done a lot of research on Dr. Rahal and his before and afters are amazing. so i wanted to start a blog about my experience and progress over the next 6 to 12 months. im still in canada and will be flying back home soon. the experience here was overall great! im staying at foxbar guest house. its a 4 minute walk to the clinic. very comfy and homey. the staff at Dr. Rahal office are amazingly sweet and caring people. Adrian really guided me in the months leading up to the surgery. Not once did he push me or was anything but a gentlman. I did my blood test paid and flew in for the surgery. i hadnt realised how much my hair had thinned out since may when i first had sent in my pictures. seeing my hair without toppik in close really made me upset but Dr. Rahal assured me that we could acieve great results. He was very confident and knew what he was doing. the surgical techs were very sweet and kept asking me if i was in any pain. at anytime i did start to feel a little bit of pain Dr. Rahal quickly injected me with the numbing stuff. i honestly didnt feel much of anything during the procedure. in fact i was so calm and relaxed that i didnt even watch any movies. just listened to music and enjoyed a nice conversation with the techs. the first night i have to admit i did have a bit of pain and didnt sleep very well but mike a tech who works there gaved me his cell phone number and for me to call him at anytime! i took advantage of that at around 7 30 at night and he guided me and with the right dose of medication the pain become very managable. i didnt sleep very much during the first night but did fall asleep early morning. mostly due to the angle you have to sleep it which i was not used to. today is the next day and i dont feel any pain at all. im comfy as can be. The hairline that dr. rahal drew for me and where the grafts are look spot on. i had an amazing experience and cant wait for the coming months! i will be starting a blog and will get my pre op pics from adrian and take after pictures to show my results. please feel free to email me any questions that you might have. Thank you for reading my thread and i will update this thread with my blog and with pictures pre op post up 4 6 8 and 12 month pictures. im really thinking about going on propecia to save my own pre op hair but last time i took propecia for a month i had sexual side affects. but i only gaved it a month. should i restart agian? ethan
  19. quick question? when i get my hair transplant, DO I HAVE to shave my head? i look really stupid with a shaved head so im hoping to avoid that.. any thoughts on that? if i can avoid it?>
  20. well pics aside, it does seem like the senses on rahal is good so i feel good about that.. it seems like a lot of poeple have confidence in him and his pictures are great.
  21. nah not willing to go asia, im in los angeles so going to canada is far enough, i cant believe there arent amazing doctors here in los angeles ud think like plastic surgery it would be the capital of the world, but it seems like the top calibur doctors are in on the east coast. anyway the pictures theres an option at the buttom to change teh angle and u can double click on them to make them larger.
  22. Hey everyone im 29 and looking to get hair transplant with dr. Rahal in canada. currently im thinking of 2500 grafts. but i wanted you guys oponion considering my hair loss. a few notes. with about 10 sprays of topic using the little squirter or whatever it is i dont even look like i need a hairtransplant. what i mean by that is my hair does look like its receiding a bit but with topik its very presentable. but i feel like im heading in the wrong direction and WITHOUT topik you diff can notice a thnning head. the problem is i only have a budget of about 10k and i cant really afford more then 2500 grafts. looking at my pictures do you think 2500 is enough for me? please note I ONLY WANT TO really fill in the front area. the mid and crown im happy with. please advice. here are my pictures http://img179.imageshack.us/i/49302685.jpg/ http://img9.imageshack.us/i/93441614.jpg/ http://img522.imageshack.us/i/38127640.jpg/ http://img109.imageshack.us/i/35382209.jpg/ for reason there roated out of place and i dont know how to fix that, so when u go to it make sure to rotate upright otherwise it looks like my whole head is balding. any thoughts id appreciate on wether i should do 2500 or more.
  23. Okay those arent really good pictures but lest just concentrate on this picture which shows how my hair looks without topic and with my lifting up the hair to see how much its thinned. http://img14.imageshack.us/i/photo00372.jpg/
  24. Hi everyone! Im ethan. Im 27 with a NW 2.5 i would guess? im not really sure. Im very serously considering having surgery with Dr. Rahl in canada by december of this year(im gonna be forwarding this pictures and an emial to him this weekend). im not in terrible shape but i diffenetly have thinned out as i get closer to 30. im including pictures of my hair so i can get some advice on a few things. now When i style my hair i use topic and i have to say with topic i pretty much look like i dont need hair transplant. but without topik i think i personally do. so here are my questions. 1. should i get one at my age with my hair loss or should i try rogiane instead or other topicals. 2. how many grafts should i get if i need surgery? i was thinking of 1700-2000 ALL in the front for full frontal density. 3. should i wait a few more years? I would apprecaite any feedback. here are the links to my pictures http://img14.imageshack.us/i/photo0033rug.jpg/ http://img14.imageshack.us/i/photo00342l.jpg/ http://img14.imageshack.us/i/photo00372.jpg/ http://img14.imageshack.us/i/photo00382.jpg/ http://img14.imageshack.us/i/photo00383.jpg/ http://img14.imageshack.us/i/photo00392.jpg/
