  1. I have recently came across an article (and I see that are many more) that says the following:

"Dairy can destroy hair follicles because of its highly acidic nature and its ability to cause allergic reactions. ... The result is a constricted blood flow which leads to hair loss and hair thinning. Dairy products itself aren't harmful but the pasteurization process that it goes through is." -

What are your thoughts on this ?

Personally, I consume a lot of dairy, almost daily (milk, greek/plain yogurt, whey) because I like the taste and also because of the protein within them, however I am thinking of taking a break from them for a few months to see if there are any improvements in hair structure.

  2. Hi. My weekly regimen is 4 x 1.25mg fin and 3x 0.5mg dut. I started with 1mg fin 3 times a week and progressively overloading after each month.

Results: Improved density and hair strength

    Sides: Nothing noticeable

  3. Hi. Idk about oral min, but after watching a vid on YT from The Hair Loss Show, in which Knudsen said that is ok to increase topical minoxidil dose I tried it. From 2ml/day to about 3ml (1.5 ml x2). After 2-3 months I had horrible chest pain. It took me few weeks until I figured out it was from the increased dose of minoxidil. I stopped using it at all for 1 week, and then for another week I used it only once a day. Now im back on 2ml/day and I have no chest pain.

‎It's because of the adverse effect that using a combination of both drugs can potentially have on the prostrate... just ask any ‎urologist.

Did you first consult with a licensed physician about taking both drugs concurrently?

Im scheduled with a recommended doctor from here, top in Europe, and in the medication plan received from him i have 1mg of Finasteride 5 times/week, and 0.5 mg Dutasteride 2times/week. I was already on 1mg Fin daily (for a bit over 6 months), I'm still debating if I should start with Dut as well.

  5. I think the best way to know if you're a good candidate is to submit your photos for review to different clinics (but let it grow a for few weeks first). Even from this photos I'd say you're a decent candidate, I've seen cases with pretty bad donor hair which ended up very good, but it will depend a lot on the doctor's skills.

  6. Hi. I scheduled with him recently. Submitted the photos, details, medication etc on the website (online appointment) in the end of June -  beginning of July 2021.  I received the answer on 10th of September. In mid October I was offered 9,10 January 2023 and I accepted.

Maybe there will be some cancellations in the meantime and then they could re-schedule me earlier, but is not very likely.

  7. My humble opinion is that all the doctors will ask you to meet certain requirements in order to maximize the chance of a successful procedure. In case you meet all of them maybe you have 80-90 success chance, based on the doctor's skills. If not, depending on what you didn't comply, your chances decrease. Not being on medication might decrease your chance with 50% while smoking with 5-10%. In some cases those 5-10% might make the difference, so I think it's better to do everything in your power to maximize that chance. Also, think how would you feel if the transplant will fail, even though it wasn't because of smoking..probably you'll blame yourself a lot.

  8. Even if you do a hair transplant your already existent hair will keep falling if you are not on medication (minoxidil/finasteride/dutasteride).

6 years ago, when I started the combat against hair loss I only used minoxidil (until this year when I added Finasteride) and it helped me A LOT. In the beggining I even experienced some regrowth and my hair was much denser and thicker. Probably I would be a NW5-6 now if I hadn't used it.

  9. Im booked with De Freitas too, but just in January 2023. I'm planning to stay around a week, from which 2-3 days before the surgery because I have never been in Valencia before. I looked into Airbnbs and there are plenty of them around the clinic. I think Airbnb will get you a better price if you're not planning on going alone and will bring you more quiet and peace.

I can not wait to see your post-op updates, please create a topic after your operation.
