  1. Hey Gatsby, nope it was just in the general instructions they sent on what to do before the surgery but I've emailed Dr Demirsoy's assistant asking why this is needed. I'll probably keep taking it since I can't find anything on it being necessary.
  2. I am also going to get my procedure done with Dr Demirsoy in a couple weeks who is apparently very reputable and was told to stop taking fin 2 weeks before the procedure and I'm wondering if this is normal too and whether I should actually stop taking it or not since this seems a bt inconsistent.
  3. Hey mate, congrats one getting this done and looks the goods! I'm getting mind done with him in 2 weeks and some of the great results here are getting me super excited. Did you get asked to stop taking fin by about2-3 weeks prior to the procedure? Just wondering if this is normal before getting th eprocedure done.
  4. Wow, your results are unreal mate and even though Dr Demirsoy is highly rated on here, this gives me even more confidence when I make the trip in March!
  5. Unbelievable timing, I just got an email from them now!
  6. Thanks mate, guess I'll try contact again or try Whatsapp
  7. Hi mark, quick question when contacting Dr Demirsoy. How long was it before they got back in touch with you? I've been waiting over a week now and nothing from them and I used their online consultation and sent them a direct email when I didn't hear back from them in the first week.
  8. Yeah, what she has said is fair and again, it speaks volumes that she would be this honest and isn't all about just getting another patient in and out. If the bald spot wasn't dead centre and so pronounced, I'd be fine and save myself the money but it's something that does more than just annoy me, amazing how these things affect us Ah that's excellent to hear that, especially that he's another who does only one patient a day too, I saw a post on here when searching his name and the price is even slightly cheaper than Dr Bicer so fantastic that he's not another mill churning through patients. Fingers crossed he doesn't give me the same response as Dr Bicer!
  9. She has said that as there isn't really a lot of loss and thinks I might be better getting the operation at a later date when there is greater loss than I have now and also suggested speaking to a dermatologist too. When speaking with her over the phone, she did say she can go through with the procedure if I really want but yeah, she has said she doesn't believe I'm a good candidate currently for the surgery and her assistant has said she will remain pretty steadfast on that decision unless it gets worse. I did consider Eugenix since the reviews on them are really good but the siutation but Turkey was preferable atm as I'm hoping to visit family in the MIddle East while there.
  10. That was the first thing that did come to my mind when speaking with her, that it was very honest and her ethics are very good. It's fortunately stabilised quite well since being on fin for nearly 3 years now but I really hate my hairline and it's still hard to live with, crown I can manage but yeah, might be best to just live with it
  11. Hi guys, we've finally been told that we can travel internationally in the near future (fingers crossed we don't have goal posts moved) and looking at getting it done in Turkey sometime next year when travel becomes clearer for us Aussies. I've scrounged around a bit on here and have reached out to Dr Demirsoy and waiting on a response, but can't see him on the recommended list and was wondering if he is a good option in Turkey. Dr Bicer unfortunately said she doesn't believe I'm a good candidate for a HT so that option is not possible now, so hoping people can give some suggestions in Turkey that won't be far more expensive like HLC is (bit of a budget unfortunately but won't go to a mill).
  12. For those of you who went with Dr Bicer, how long was it before her assistant got back to you with a quote for no of grafts required? Sent my photos to them om 20 Sept and still havent heard back ther than her assistant telling she hasn't seen my photos yet as she's really busy.
  13. Hi everyone, I've sent off an email recently to Dr Path and got a quote back requiring roughly 2500 grafts for the crown and hairline. His email does mention a Dr Tueboon & Dr Pasu who will do the procedure for a much lower price per graft, has anyone had any experience or is there any information on them by any chance?
  14. So does anyone know what the difference is between the FUE automated & FUE manual is which is mentioned in Dr Bicer's prices page?
  15. You're right @Melvin-Moderator and it certainly wasn't meant to be a comparison in terms of results, just that the social media comment can show or hide any type of work done and isn't a fair reflection of what is good or not with HOI showing a lot of their better work but I've defeinitely seen a lot of their not good stuff online. I'd take the commentary on here over what social media does or does not show. Her prices are definitely much more budget friendly and having seen the reviews here, seems as though getting in contact with her clinic would be a good idea. So do her techs do any of the important work or is everything done by her?
  16. Sorry mate, no idea myself but that's a valid point. It's similar to people suggesting places like Hair of Istanbul because of high IG followers and they post up some shoddy work that's been edited. I'll have a look at their socials but the positive is the word of mouth on here is pretty good, initially I was happy to go to a mill prior to researching anything so looking for anything better now
  17. Thanks for all of the additional information again guys, it's clear that Turkey and now Thailand with Dr Path are the way to go, only issue with Turkey is their covid cases are thru the roof still and while it's still some way off, it maybe be a long time before we'll get there while we may get an Asian travel bubble. Dr Paths results on their site look fantastic, does anyone know what he charges roughly? If Dr Bicer is only behind Dr Erdogan in terms of marketing, I can manage I think as price will be a bigger factor there. Budget isn't super constricted since I was ready to do it locally but would still like to not be super expensive, have been quoted about 1000 grafts for the hairline and anywhere between another 1-2000 for the crown (one place even said the crown wasn't thing enough to work with yet).
  18. Does that include Erdogan? I found out the others were mills (though apparently the better mills) and thought he was different, at least judging from his price and some of the info online. Just looked up Dr Bicer and this is Ozlem Bicer right? Her prices seem cheaper than most of the reputable ones there from memory, I've never heard of this clinic before but will definitely look some more into it, what other info have you got on this clinic mate?
  19. Thanks very much all of you, very clear the consensus is to stay far away from anywhere locally and just wait it out unfortunately and definitely would rather FUE Thank FUT done and for now, I'm fine with just the hairline as crown is thin but I can live with it for now unless prices to get it done are amazing. Didn't realise Thailand was a good option that is much closer than Turkey and may be possible in the near future, who is worthwhile there? I did also get someone elsewhere to mention a Dr Ma in Singapore but wasn't able to find much on him, any ideas there? I've spoken to Dr Erdogan in Turkey as well as AEK Clinic, FUECapilar, Dr Cinik, are any of these on the avoid list? Thanks again everyone, all of this info has helped massively already.
  20. Hi everyone, hoping to get some advice on potentially getting a HT in the near future. Initially the plan was to go and get my hairline fixed in Turkey or anywhere overseas (somewhere with decent quality of course) however with the international travel ban in place (we can't even get any consistency with domestic travel) in Australia, our vaccinations barely even underway and not wanting to wait until who knows how long, I have thought about doing it locally in Melbourne. I am 30 and have been on finasteride for the last 2.5 years which has helped to stabilise my hairloss with the issue to me being my hairline and I'm tired of having my fringe over the bald spot in the centre of my hair line (drive me insane in the summer), as well as my crown thinned out as well but this hasn't been too bad fortunately as the fin helped before it got too bad. I just want a normal looking hairline again really. I've attached some photos of how my hairline looks as well as the crown when wet & dry. I know the surgery is very costly here and I'm honestly not sure of the quality of the surgeons here but have though that I'd rather do it locally sometime this year than wait potentially 2 years and get it done overseas, can anyone recommend anyone locally? Thanks a lot everyone!
  21. Thanks very much for the quick responses guys, much appreciated, that doesn't sound too good ideal @qui bono. I'm 30 and been on fin for 2.5 years which has stabilised it massively. Was definitely looking at FUE instead of FUT as I'm not a fan of the massive scar that the FUT procedure leaves and never heard of the others. Goals are to have an even hairline again that will allow me to push my hair back or have a buzzcut without having to try and cover the bald spot in the middle of the hairline and fill out the temples. Had quotes from a couple clinics in Turkey over Whatsapp saying that 800-1000 grafts would be needed for the hairline. I know that Dr Spano uses FUE but can't find much info on his work other than some of the images on his site which look a bit hit and miss. The photo in the front doesn't look too bad but I have a bald spot that goes up fairly high and my hairline drives me crazy becasue of it, crown isn't too bad yet fortunately but I'll start a new thread and post some better photos too. Thanks guys.
  22. Rather than starting a new thread, I thought I'd revive this one. Since there is no travel looking to happen for ourselves any time soon, I've started considering getting a HT done locally when I had initially decided on Turkey. I've read thru the posts here and everyone seems pretty negative on getting any hair work done in Aus, is it still as bad as it was a few years ago when the last post was made? I really don't want to wait for who knows how long to be able to travel overseas to get it done and want it hopefully done before the end of the year. Can anyone recommend anyone locally? Fwiw, I'm in Melbourne, no idea what norwood stage I'm at but I really want to get my hairline fixed more than anything and sick of putting my fringe down to cover the hairline. Thanks in advance everyone.
