Just bumping this thread if anyone can shed some light if sebum is connected to any hair loss medications.
I visited my GP today regarding a few pimples around my brow area and she said it was an issue with sebum. A natural oil our body produces. She told me to cleanse every day and wear sunscreen.
After a little research I have read that sebum could be connected to testosterone, hormone levels or dht.
I take 0.5mg of finasteride 4 times a week and use Nizoral shampoo every 4 days, could any of this be removing the sebum from my scalp but giving me issues on my face?
I exercise regularly and have a reasonable balanced diet.
thanks in advance

3. Dr fox online
ive been using them for 2 years now

I’d never even heard of finasteride until I looked in to getting a ht. Doubt many have …. I know my friends hadn’t until I told them there was a drug that helps hair loss.

I really want to do hair transplant and I'm willing to spend good money. If read so many horror stories here in the forum and I really couldn't find 1 clinc without bad reviews
So let's start from the country is turkey that bad ? Is Korea or Thailand better ?
Can anyone recommend something (with good customer service)?
Thank you
Even the best hotels, restaurants and cars in the world get bad reviews…. It’s the way it is, nothing is certain

I’m thinking of doing cinik ? Thoughts ?
I got a good result off Cinik but it’s a gamble, I didn’t know much about the ht industry before I went, hairmill overharvesting etc but hit lucky… it’s whether your prepared to gamble, most on here would tell you. No

Yeah mine was wavy for the 1st few months, really liked it that way but levelled out or straightened after that

Hey there, guys. I need a hair transplant ASAP, but I have no money for it. I don't really want to take out a loan, so maybe you could advise me about some quick ways to earn cash. TIA!!

Yes longevita is a hairmill and not a great one…
my friend went there a few years ago and his results are poor. I’d reassess if I were you.

Agree you could have held on for a few more years, especially looking at the 2nd pic. But it is up to you how you feel …..
good luck from a fellow UK’r

I was told to not drink coffee the day of the procedure and also the day before, which I did.
Not really sure why but just went with it

Nope. The complete opposite, actually. Every single time it comes up in conversation, the response is always enthusiastic and inquisitive... Usually a combination of A) shocked that they had no idea, B) wanting to see photos and asking tons of questions, C) and usually bringing up how they or someone they know either also had a procedure or really wants to get one.
100% this

Let’s be honest there’s a lot of things that can kill you, if you live your life worrying about them it’s not worth living…
even drinking too much water can kill you, just live your life hopefully with hair 🤞🏽

I get the boiling engineer example and the dentist, but let’s face it, you can’t remotely compare that with HT surgery
I disagree …. If a heating engineer drops a clanger the consequences are much worse… dangerous appliance equals carbon monoxide which results in death !

anyother. They do it day in and day out - I imagine it gets routine - downright boring at times - and just like office workers, people are prone to chit chat and other stimuli in order to make the day go faster.
Exactly this …. I’m a heating engineer and when I’m fitting a boiler or fixing a flue, me and my colleague might carry on, tell jokes or talk sh*t
But at the end of the day we do a professional job and would never leave the boiler unsafe.

The Turkish government charge an additional fee if you pay by card I believe, I’m sure it’s 10%

7 month ish user of Dutasteride here. It's almost brought me back an entire norwood level so far. I estimate I have about 2-3k new hairs (still bald, but better than before, clearly). Plan is that once I stop seeing progress from Dut, I'll get a transplant.
One thing I will note is that I have 0 side effects. I guess other people here were struggling with some, but I just want to point out that some of us actually don't get side effects at all.
Wow … that is some great re growth

Which Clinic in Istanbul?
in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Posted
Hi Kristian … I personally went to Dr Cinik and had a great result but you will not get anybody recommending him on here ( or cosmedica ) as they are both hairmills. There are a few clinics in Istanbul that are recommended here so do your research. And good luck 🤞🏽
